Heres a great free tip for you lower league lovers, *Go to the league table screen *go to league above you at least 2 levels *on each of the team right click on it,and choose get team report and assign your preferred scout *this will get you a selected few players that the club are willing to let go to you for loan, plus a star rating as well *try to get a loan that has no wage paid if u can,as it have will the most ideal scenario for ur financial *another tip in the lower league is,wages are >>transfer budget,so always make sure u have + wage finances. Happy playing 😀
I giggled at this bit. 24 year old non league CB, Star player of Bath... Earning more than the average wage in the EPL! Take a bow Jack Batten! Also how cool is a Defender who literally would let the Sun use the headline "Batten down the hatches!" when you pull off a stunning rear guard defeat of a giant in the cup!
I actually bypassed the 30 player trials by sending the 30 players to the reserves. Then I got more, I had around 60+ trialists at a time, cause If I didn't like the look of them I cancelled the trial straight away.
Well I wish I knew this sooner!!! Just spent 2 irl days getting in over 300 trials that have all been useless and I do this for one position and get 3 4 star rated players. Insanely good and very helpful
You can have up to 60 trialist, and probably more. The trick is to invite 30 trialists, then send all 30 to your reserve team. You can then invite 30 more trialists. I suppose if you have a U18 squad, you could send any 18 and under trialists there, and you then could invite in total, over 60 players. Currently doing this at Portstewart in the Northern Ireland 3rd division. You simply make sure you place the 30 best looking trialists on your senior roster.
Useful stuff! I just jumped from a massive long career on FM17 to starting again on FM21, so this is really useful, especially down in the Isthmian League north with Coggeshall Town. I've probably bought too many players and have exhausted the wage budget, but not even loaned anybody yet as I'm still in the first couple of weeks and there's no one available to loan yet.
I did same from Fm16. Did a journey man save started in bottom Ukrainian league, managed the team for 7 seasons. Got promoted in season 6 relegated season 7 and fired. I looked at a real calendar to discover it was 2020, so got fm20, still going with that, probably won't change. I honestly didn't even see the time go on Fm16. Was first FM and didn't really know what I was doing.
Recently started watching your videos, I've been playing fm since they broke away from champ man and I've never seen an in depth video on this before would love to see more stuffs on how you approach different aspects of the game!! And thank you for a clear and precise run through
playing in the northern Irish champion with Knockbreda, started with a wage budget just shy of 800 pound its my third season and its up to the high 800 pounds, still in the champion lol absolute nightmare trying to get decent players to get me out of the league, first time ever playing a FM game but I'm hooked and I love it, managed to get them to forth fighting for a playoff spot in my second season, but this season the we're back to struggling again, I'm just messing around with tactics trying to find something that'll give me an edge giving that the actual team Knockbreda is a underdog team and we still are but we get results we shoulded get, hopefully i can get promoted in the next 5 years...
Awesome video for finding the players but I've tried this method with a number of clubs and, every time, each of the players I've negotiated contracts with have joined other clubs. I've yet to be able to get a single player to join the team I'm managing. Any further advice?
I love when you do these videos :) But i do have to give a bit of constructive criticism. A video showing how to sign players should not have jumpcuts where you come back after you have signed a few more players. You should show the signing process and jumpcut somewhere else. I also have a tiny advice which i actually dont know have any effect or not. But when you get to the screen where players say that they want to be an important first teamer or which ever role he wants. Try to lower that one step to a regular starter. It can make them ask for a little less wages. But absolutely loved this video and i hope for more similar in the future from you :)
I usually take out the other clauses as well and just pay £25-50 a week more on the salary so then I'm not paying for apprence and clean sheet etc bonuses.
Thank you so much for this lower league Scottish clubs are a nightmare and I really want to start my career in the lower leagues to make it more authentic. Fantastic work teaching a newbie to the game
In previous years, you were allowed to play trial players in a set number of games in the Scottish football league (as happened in real life). I am not sure if you still can, but I was able to persuade players to come in trial with me who I couldn't offer wages to on previous FMs/ players who wanted too much to sign permanently but who would happily come and play on trial :p. It might be a 'hack', but it happened in real life so I reasoned it was ok!
@@seannyt-b thank you for this I’ll look into it, on FM20 touch my biggest issue was Ayr United, the whole squads contracts basically ended after that season and Being new to the game I couldn’t figure out the best way to rebuild that. Thanks to these videos and tips like that it will certainly help ☺️
I would say the biggest tips for FM on PC (not sure how much translates to Touch) would be to get your Director of Football to suggest free transfers and loan players who are interested (after the date where players are released in the country you are in), then trial as many players as you can to compare quality and visualise where they would fit into your squad. Another way I do it is to look through the released players tab of each team in the top leagues (as you could do in real life) as there is a decent player pool there. If you have had a decent season the year before and are due a rep boost, also important to wait until the season ticks over to get that boost.
Thanks Kev! Learned a few tricks here! I am terrible at negotiating salaries so any tips help! I have Tareq Shihab in my Hemel Hempstead Town save in FM20. He has been solid in league two and one... but he is short!
Great Video, got me back to playing FM for the 1st time since Champ man 4. What do you do for non-league training, all a bit confusing to me. Everyone has super ideas for training every day, when you can only train twice a week I'm not sure what to do. thanks again.
FRM UA-camrs fall into two categories: those that can pronounce 'attribute' and those that can't. Lollujo is one of the former; which makes him quite a rare bird. ;-)
Are you having to "mark" the first batch of trail players, so they "don't show up" in your second batch Kev? Or is there some other "feature" you use so you don't spend two or more periods on any one player?
I needed this video. Now can you show how to do this from unemployed cause my first job always ends up take 2 months or more and all the good free transfers are gone
Good video. If I get promoted, what date does the new division star rating kick in please?. In Vanarama National, maybe going into League 2 ; so I want to sign L2 quality at least players`.
Im looking to do a nation rebuild with Larne in Northern Ireland, do you think this kind of thing would work for that as well? If not what advice do you have for trying to build a good club set up to win the league whilst slowly upping the coefficient of the league and my youth facilities and setup?
What is the plan after the first season if you get promoted? most people signed are on a 1 year deal. Do you find new players on second season or offer the old ones another 1 year deal?
After the DOF suggested players, you can just select them all and then offer trial. You don't have to go trough each one individually. Saves a lot of time
Hi Kev I know I have already asked you and I don’t want to pester you, but is there any chance you could show/or put a link in how you put logos, premier kits etc etc Thankyou for you great videos!
Watched this, got all excited, went on FM21 touch and non of it applies 😔. Only version i can play as my 11 year only laptop sounds like it's going to blow up just loading normal FM21
Do you use the same strategy to sign players in tier 9 and below as you used here? I started in tier 11, won the league, won tier 10 in season 2, came second in tier 9 season 3 (only champions go up), and we're struggling in season 4. I can't seem to find any players better than what I've already got that are willing to sign for us. Any advice?
Okay... so I am FC Dallas. We have an an Affiliated Team in FC Dallas Jrs. For Friendly Match it cost me 2.95K. Revenue should be 26.6K. That's 23K or so a Match, I'll take that. And this is getting my Jrs a lot of Game Experience. It seems like a no-brainer. Make 23K each, get a stupid amount of Matches with the Jrs... So what is the obvious negative I'm missing here? I've checked, and the better clubs leave about the same amount of Profit... so why is what I'm doing wrong (I assume it just can't be this easy).
Please for the love of god, use SHIFT-CLICK and Mark all and then trial. My mouse arm hurts from just looking at you right-clicking each player separately.

Best way to do it😂nothing quite like signing 4 new players just before the playoffs😂
@@jamesshone1677 well it worked! Unbeaten in 5. Won 3 games by 3 goals already
Literally, scout a player with at least 3/3.5 star ability under the age of 23 sign him straight up

More than his value!

Cheers for this. Was scrabbling around your early Holme episodes from FM19 to remind myself how you do it!
Kev's attempt to calm us down massively backfired and ended with the words "You either get promoted or sacked at the end of season 1"
