I was wondering if that 10k was short. But all in all still super fast. Even if you were 32 low, that’d be a solid time after a good bike effort. Outlaw could be fun 🙌 Best of luck 👌
Cheers mate! Super impressive splits over the standard distance. Love following along to your journey through the lens of UA-cam and super stoked to be seeing you progress towards your pro card again! Will be eager to see how you do at Outlaw!
I saw the times and didn't think it was that quick as I am not far off. I then realised this was not a sprint and was in fact double that distance. I am now struggling to understand how you're that quick. Amazing and great footage too. Impressive results!
Hey mate! Cheers from Canada. Just found your channel and love your content! Keep it up. One question ... I saw from watching your older videos you attained pro status already. But now I see you chasing it again? Can you explain how that works. You rock man!
Thanks so much Dave! So I’m 2019 I had my pro license but unfortunately had a bad season and lost it. This season I’m trying to get it back. Tomorrow I’m racing outlaw and will have the chance to get the pro license again 💪🏻
i had to throw my giand front bottle away since it micro cracked at so many spot, sadly it's bad design. i'm looking at profile design ones right now for replacement
You said you can do sub 17 for 5km, which is serious time man. Just wondering, what kind of run specific training I should do to even get 18 mins 5km, and what weight I should be at, roughly?? Thanks man, solid effort.
Thanks pal! Really hard one to answer there. Weight wise I would say that's a super hard question to answer as everyone is different, what I would say is don't worry about the weight as the training will bring that down naturally anyway. With the training keep it consistent. Perhaps 2 actual hard sessions a week and then the rest nice and easy. One of those sessions could be a shorter hard one I.E above race pace, and then the other could be more of a tempo run
Thanks Ethan. To be honest mate it’s all down to consistency. There’s no easy formula. It’s taken me years to get my swimming anywhere near competitive
You might be able to stop the leak temporarily with either silicone or spraying the outside with flexseal. I would think if it holds water for a test it will get you through one bike leg
Dean you are right using something food grade insures Harry’s long life and health. If I had a crack at beating Tim Don I would risk cancer or whatever
There's doing your job and then theres being rude for no reason. No need for him to be so rude- I talked to a lot of people and they all said the same so it's not just me. I was also told I could have one person with me for the race and he nearly didn't let Lydia and myself in because she wasn't racing.
@@Harry-Palmer Yeah but we were repeatedly told 'NO SPECTATORS' because of the venues rules, I agree he may have come across rude but if he's spent all morning dealing with people bringing guests he may bit a bit annoyed.
@@Sam5ur4 I was told something different directly from the event organiser. I’m not disagreeing with you, just saying we had different information and when we tried to explain that he was rude. I’m sure he did have a few annoying conversations with people but again he shouldn’t have been rude to everyone- seemed like he was just irritated by everyone regardless
@@Harry-Palmer People doing that job get formally briefed about what is and isn’t allowed. They’re told that if they ignore them the venue could lose its licence and they won’t get work again. The Covid rules for this event aren’t up to the organisers (otherwise they’d let everyone in). You have absolutely no idea how many entitled dicks had already told him that the rules didn’t apply to them before you encountered him, and people are only human. When you decided to include some abuse for the guy you say was rude to you in this video I imagine you thought the impression people would get is that you’re a great guy and some other bloke is a tit. I can only tell you that the impression it gave me was the opposite.
@@TC2drumlist I think you seem to be missing the point here. It was after I told him we had specific access to film and he was still pretty much refusing us access and being difficult. I'm sure he did have lots of annoying conversations with people but he was still irritating to deal with even after we proved we were allowed access. Would you class that as doing your job or being a bit of a dick?
Wonderful race, congrats! Just for you to know, the name of the restaurant you ate in"Zizzi" is reaaally similar to "zizi" which mean penis in French. You are welcome :)
Hay Harry, great race by the way…. They way you speak about the security guard is disgusting… You shouldn’t talk about anyone in that way. That’s someone’s son, someone’s dad and someone who’s doing their job on a hot day. Everyone talks about online abuse, and your abusing someone publicly on a online platform. How would you feel if someone spoke about you like that. My partner wanted to come watch me race at Dorney and didn’t because the event info said no spectators. Worth considering the rules before you start shaming people for doing there job. Just as you were trying to do yours.
Thanks for the comment James. Firstly apologies if any of it offended you. Never my intention to offend anyone but unfortunately nower days you can’t say anything without offending someone. Maybe I was a bit harsh but my point was he nearly refused myself and my girlfriend into the race when we clearly explained the situation and the fact the event organiser specifically said she could come in the help film. Even after I explained that he was still being difficult so I think I’m well within my right to be pretty frustrated by that. There’s doing your job and then there’s being annoying for the sake of it. Fair play for standing out in the sun all day, but doesn’t mean you have to be difficult. I wasn’t the only person that found that- everyone else I talked to said the same thing. Again thanks for the comment. Hope you had a good race and sorry if any of what I said offended you. Good luck in any other races you have this season 👍🏻
Skipping the pro race for a recovery meal is in itself pro.

Cheers Ryan! You smashed it mate 👍🏻
Very nice race! Saw you come out the water and you were flying. I did the sprint first and came 6th so first shows the pro in you!
Thanks Tom! Ahhhh nice mate well done that’s a cracking result!!
Hats off to you sir! Rapid times and congratulations on the win….out of interest what would you be looking to run a half off the bike??
Thanks so much Simon. Off the bike half I’d like to go around 73 mins. This weekend should be fast so we will see

How did you compare to the pro field?
Hard to tell really as they had a different distance but I think I would have been competitive

So what do you need to do for a pro license?
This weekend race I need to finish on the podium and be the first age grouper. Going to be a hard day at the office

Good stuff! Congratulations 🎉
Is that good course for first ever sprint triathlon?
Great effort, all the hard work is paying off 😀
