This is a really thought-provoking and insightful analysis about Virginia and the family. I found it astonishing that - in a family of 5 children - none of Virginia's siblings noticed/cared that they hadn't seen or spoken to their parents in 4 years. In the end it was the GP who raised the alarm. What happens to a family to create this level of separation? You mention that the children were hit/beaten for bedwetting, but regular bedwetting is often a symptom of something being very wrong. They were also a reasonably middle class family - but yet social services became involved. Like it or not, parents with good jobs, posh accents or nice houses are less likely to have social service intervention in any meaningful way. It's not a good sign. I'm not saying the parents in any way deserved what happened. It's just such an odd situation that no one missed them in 4 years, nevermind that they were murdered by their own daughter. Respectfully, her defence lawyer didn't say her autism made her murder, he said it explains some of her actions. He specifically stated that it doesn't excuse her actions. Which is valid, and you yourself actually outline all of the things he's clearly referring to, such as the loneliness and social isolation which clearly, the immaturity and difficulty coping outside of her own bubble, all of which contributed to her lying, her falling into addiction and her increasingly selfish choices. Her autism didn't make her murder, nor does it excuse her actions, and absolutely no one claimed that it did. It simply that, in the same way her unhappy childhood did, was part of who she became as an adult, which was a selfish, lying, cold blooded murder.
I really think the parents were abusive why would none of the other daughters never talk to the parents? It’s weird not saying they deserved it but maybe they were monsters too 🤷♀️
@@hannah3146I totally agree. The other siblings claim abuse as well, don’t they? And as you say, why didn’t they call or search! That does speak volumes, this wasnt a loving family. And you’re right, no one deserves to die like that, but it also sounds like….they played a role in the monster she became, right? She made all her own choices, SHE is to blame for what she did. BUT….she was abused, and neglected. She wasn’t taught to love, she was shown violence gets things done. And learned that from her parents and she enacted it on them. As you say, not that they deserved it, but she is a pretty good example of what can happen if parents abuse their kids and take for granted what that might cause as they become an adult who can act out their anger.
Extremely interesting case because of how rare this is. A woman committing double parenticide is one of the rarest forms of murder statistically. Theres very few cases like this. Double parenticide is rare regardless. And in the UK aswell, even stranger. She is completely odd and clearly has no soul left. Either she was born this way or her family broke her spirit, I wonder what truly happened. Why did she feel the need to lie so hard and so often that it escalated into such an outlier case of tragedy. RIP. Family are important. Don't cheat them. Gambling agencies truly spread demons into the mind of their customers, do they even know what they have created. Crazy how they have the power to commit crimes and investigate individuals, but they dont get punished for destroying working class communities
Iunno. The more I learn about trauma the more I think it's a cop out to lable them "monsters" like they're seperate entities. I think it goes without saying the crimes are despicable but it doesn't really solve or address anything if you get me. The science and research is there to fully explain why these awful events occur. I'm just really flattened hearing the same repetitive mantras in the comment section minus the insight yknow? Again, thousands of people sitting there smugly in the comments section lambasting the "monsters" as they neglect their kids in favour of candy crush.
Gambling and shopping addiction? Sure. You can either view that as self indulgence or impulsive addictive behaviours born out of the template set in childhood where dopamine and the sense of belonging was lacking. Just sayin. Gonna get absolutely railed on for all this I know it.... by equally dysfunctional individuals lol
At last! Someone who actually understands the terrible harm that emotionally negligent and abusive parenting causes. Thank you for commenting on this important aspect. I too am sick to death of the relentless spewing of the words "monster" "evil" et al. People seem rarely capable of thinking beyond their immediate visceral responses. One comment mentions something along the lines of "the parents doing their best" when so clearly they did not. Nothing will change until "adverse childhood events" aka trauma is properly studied and really understood. Even if diagnosed, there is little effective therapy available, just the Emperor's New Clothes of crude behaviourism - cbt/dbt/tfcbt/emdr - all useless for actual healing of the psychiatric injury that trauma is. It needs a whole life approach, a sanctuary to stand any chance of healing the harm. Until we tackle this aspect and treating all terrible parents as sacred cows, we are enabling further tragic cases like this to continue happening Most of those shouting "evil monster" don't even know that the physical structure and development of the brain is changed dramatically by early life and continuing trauma. Sorry to rattle on, I am just so glad you commented what you did. @@nevadatan7323
I once worked in an office and a running joke was that one of the members of staff would make up fantastic, and fantastically ridiculous stories. Everybody knew that she lived at home (in her mid forties) with her mum and dad and had never been married. To me, this woman was very lonely, had a very boring existence and life had passed her by or was passing her by. I don't think she had any real friends other than older people that were perhaps more tolerant of her nonsense. This woman would regularly say things like "Oh I had the same wedding dress" or "That is what I had when I got married." or "We had that food instead", normally this was precipitated by other people in the office talking about their actual weddings or other things that she was envious about, going on holiday blah blah. Some people engaged in what could be described as bullying her, setting her up to say something that they knew wasn't true, example: "Oh [woman], isn't it true that you once went on a date with Elvis Presley?" This then catalysed a whole load of nonsense from the woman about how this was true and how she went to Gracelands etc. My point is, whilst McCullough's crimes are abhorrent, sociopathic etc, I do feel that she was effectively hiding in plain sight and her behaviour developed over time. Of course her behaviour is not the fault of her neighbours or local businesses but I feel that if she had some genuine social interaction (however tedious those in her community may have found it) perhaps she wouldn’t have made such abhorrent decisions or if she was on a path where such decisions were going to be made, they would have been lesser ones. I am pretty sure that the woman in the example I provided didn’t go on to be a murderer and we all need to own our own behaviours but I do think social interaction and civic responsibility are big things that are often neglected.
"social interaction and civic responsibility are big things that are often neglected" - an excellent point. i wish more people would understand this. we have to help each other. we are the foundation people like virginia fall through the cracks of, we are society

Thanks for that EAU, me and the wife watched it before work, we really appreciate how you tell the story, then given us your personal opinion. I think you summed it up very nicely. Virginia was nothing more than a leach in my opinion who didn't want to pay her way. CHEERS NZX

I thought this was a wonderful full take on this woman, thank you. It’s haunting and the most awful moment is when she smiled at the policeman and said ‘smile you caught a bad one, absolutely psychpathic xx
This case is horrible with what she did to her parents. They may have not been the greatest parents but I’ll be honest when I say that I was crying hearing the details of how she murdered her mother. How the hell could Virginia continue bludgeoning her mother after she asked her what she was doing? And then to do what she did after their deaths? All I can ask is why? This to me is the most shocking case I’ve heard in a long time.
Loneliness does strange things to people. Simply too easy to label her some type of "path", When you feel like you have nobody, maybe you just feed whatever makes you feel alive. At whatever cost.
Could it be that she's spent so long on her own in that house that she's literally accepted it? I know obviously there have to be personality disorders involved, but she just seems so ready for everything to come in the body cam footage. Idk people really confuse my already overworked brain, lol
When a film is made about this I sincerely hope that it doesn't contain Mark Williams-Thomas as an "expert" and that it's made by any other channel than Channel 5 as it's already unbelievable, it doesn't need anything other than the bizarre truth or embellishments.
I'd been looking forward to EAU to cover this traumatising case. She is the most psychopathic psychopath I've ever studied. A very odd creature indeed!! 😳🤮

Top notch, as always! Thank you for your efforts, releasing thought provoking videos. One opinion I'd like to share regarding gift bombing her neighbors: as you said, she knew her parents money wouldn't last; I think she was casting a baited net to see who she could draw in to manipulate, eventually killing them, too. She had quite the stroke of luck when COVID hit, buying her time.
What really shocks me is Virginia's desperation to over share the details of what the police team will find, and her nonchalant attitude about the facts of her crime. It is quite chilling how her voice remains the same throughout - no choking of her voice, or look of shock or tears. She seems, dare I say it, excited to tell them everything, and go into detail although the police officer, tries to shut her down telling her it isn't his job to comment ~ she carries on regardless! It is tragic and sad what Lois and John went through regardless of how they parented their children, they still did not deserve to be murdered. To be honest I think Virginia will thrive in prison being surrounded by people and their company, she will have a relatively safe place to live, will never have to worry about paying her way or paying off the huge debts she incurred. I doubt that she will see her sentence as being a punishment but rather being around a 'family' that accepts her.
Shades of Chandler Halderson. "The truth shall set you free", a phrase so familiar, it's almost cliché.. But the older I get, the more poignant it becomes. We become the lies we spew.
22:11 “can I take you to it” (it wtf is it?) 23:03 “can you grab some hair bands as well” 25:27 “cheer up, at least you caught the bad guy” (also they know there are two decomposed bodies in the house they are in and you killed and stored them) 26:36 “so humm, the murder weapon….is upstairs…..” (like explaining when you left the keys) 27:37 “I know, I know, I know” (for her to tells me that the look on the cops faces were of shock)
Usually killers get 25 years for one murder. So, why didn’t she get 50 years for two?? This also doesn’t add up… those bodies would be stinking that house out, not to mention the flies… I’ve read before it doesn’t matter how you ‘dispose’ of a body, if it isn’t buried sufficiently deep, you WILL smell the decomposition. Neighbours have smelt decomposing bodies in the past in previous cases.
i feel sorry for her, she didn't do it out of sadism. compulsive behaviour like overspending and gambling are indicative of mental health problems, probably stemming from her childhood. i don't think you understand how autism presents itself, especially in women. she's not a psychopath, she didn't offend again, even though she could've. i think she was lonely, a victim of child abuse, and couldn't understand how to cope in the world because of her neurodivergence and cold parents
Psychiatrist in the court begs to differ. Never really sure why people express so much sympathy for people like this yes she had issues many of us do, we don’t kill 2 people especially stabbing someone to death.

Such a cold twisted woman She’s trying to come across as super helpful to the police The fact is if she was realy so helpful she wouldn’t have left her parents decomposing for 4 years in the house she slept in the whole time She’s only sorry she got caught
I genuinely do not understand the defense/mitigation of 'autism / mental health issues' in this case (and indeed many cases). Firstly, autism is not a mental illness. Do ASD people have a greater preponderance for violence? I've certainly never read that or come across it. lllnesses like schitzophrenia and psychosis can without question affect culpability. But what evidence is there that autism, or mental health issues like mood disorders/anxiety disorders, remove the capacity to determine right from wrong? Or make people affected lose touch with reality to the degree that they could murder someone and not realise it was an illegal act? Genuinely delighted to be proved wrong if it's just my ignorance.
I agree. Autism is not a mitigating factor. Aside from that point- I don’t believe she Autistic- I think many people (especially those in the legal system) are misdiagnosed as Autistic and are more likely to have anti social personality disorder.
You can’t ‘have’ autism, it’s a brain type, just like you can’t have adhd. To use the word ‘have’ infers that said person can cure themselves of it, this is also false. Just saying

She Reminds me of Chandler Halderson and Sydney Powell. All three killed their parents because their selfish lies were finally catching up with them and they could not face the consequences. They were driven by the fear of being unmasked but Gregg just wanted to turn off the parental controls.
Thanks for the heads-up; I hadn’t got the notification.
Another excellently-made video.
Thanks 👍
Parenting needs to be understood and taught.
And before that? HEAL YOURSELVES.
Stop the generational cycle - its not genetics, its environment.
Waiting for inevitable "Well I got abused and I didn't..."
Yeah well you dont understand the ramifications of trauma either.
Until we tackle this aspect and treating all terrible parents as sacred cows, we are enabling further tragic cases like this to continue happening
Most of those shouting "evil monster" don't even know that the physical structure and development of the brain is changed dramatically by early life and continuing trauma.
Sorry to rattle on, I am just so glad you commented what you did.

Lois didn't realize that her husband passed because they slept in separate bedrooms!
Dammit you are absolutely right thank you for the important correction
Wow this is horrific
This case was covered by another true crime channel but I learned info not covered in the other one. Always a fine job by you Sir. Much ♥️& all the best all.
Imagine if that doctor hadn’t noticed, how long would she have got away with it?! My surgery is run by locums now and no regular GPs so they wouldn’t notice if someone went off the radar!
I would like to thank you for how you decided this case and not being over dramatic but just sticking to the facts...its a hard thing to go into when it comes to such thing and you are right there is evil amongst us...
Evil among us, you are the best true crime UA-camr there is and ever will be. The way you explain these stories captivates me, especially the way you delve deep into the facts of the criminal’s life, background as well as the events leading up to the crime. Keep up the good work.
Will do and thank you 😊
Thanks for that EAU, me and the wife watched it before work, we really appreciate how you tell the story, then given us your personal opinion. I think you summed it up very nicely. Virginia was nothing more than a leach in my opinion who didn't want to pay her way.
CHEERS NZX
Thank you and hello to you and your wife 👍
Good stuff, I saw this popping up in the news but I had a feeling you would cover it!
Hi I've noticed this all over the news but never really took much notice, you put this across perfectly and i really enjoyed it 🍻🍻
Glad you enjoyed it! 😊
There's a case so so similar to this from my home town. I've asked so many channels to cover it. William and Patricia Wycherley. There's a dramatisation with Olivia Coleman and a couple if Documentaries. Please??
Thank you!
I thought this was a wonderful full take on this woman, thank you. It’s haunting and the most awful moment is when she smiled at the policeman and said ‘smile you caught a bad one, absolutely psychpathic xx
There are several channels covering this case right now however i enjoy your particular insights and profiling. Thank you.
No thank you for your kind words
Just saw this story yesterday, latest upload on That Chapter 😮
This makes no sense. How could the police not smell the bodies. Or the family not wonder where the parents was ?? After all the years
did you watch the video? he explained it all
@nzx9796 yes I did, didn't explain the smell tho , it would be a awful smell to go into
11:02
@@kerrygibson5817 after four years there likely wouldn't be any smell if the bodies had decayed.
@TrevM0nkey did you see her waving her hand under her nose those a few times when the police was with her ?
Fantastic factual video
Thank you
This case is horrible with what she did to her parents.
I've been looking forward to you covering this since I heard of it! I truly believe she is a 1st class sociopath.
Loneliness does strange things to people. Simply too easy to label her some type of "path",
When you feel like you have nobody, maybe you just feed whatever makes you feel alive.
At whatever cost.
Could it be that she's spent so long on her own in that house that she's literally accepted it? I know obviously there have to be personality disorders involved, but she just seems so ready for everything to come in the body cam footage. Idk people really confuse my already overworked brain, lol
She will Never be released Not even at 71years She will be in prison for life taking the life of her parents was incomprehensible .
People need to learn that mental health/disability isn't a scapegoat for someone's behavior.
So the other 4 daughters never checked on their parents for over 4 years? What if they were abusive has anyone in the family said anything?
Cold as ice!
Glad you covered this one thank you 🙏 ❤
My pleasure!
So how did the house not smell?
Because she RINSED them
When a film is made about this I sincerely hope that it doesn't contain Mark Williams-Thomas as an "expert" and that it's made by any other channel than Channel 5 as it's already unbelievable, it doesn't need anything other than the bizarre truth or embellishments.
I'd been looking forward to EAU to cover this traumatising case.
She is the most psychopathic psychopath I've ever studied.
A very odd creature indeed!! 😳🤮
She must have used something to mask the smell? Two officers failed to detect the most distinctive smell on earth, which is bizarre as this case. when she tells the officer to "cheer up" is the most chilling thing she says 😒
She wrapped and sealed them air tight
@Rumpleforeskin77 nothing is air tight bro come on something not right there
@@MelchizedekKohen have you bought weed recently ? Everything is sold in airtight packs , she might have heat sealed the plastic seams then duct tape ..that's air tight

It’ll be interesting to watch the police interrogation video if they are ever released

Thank you very much
Shes cold honest shes a very dangerous woman
Patiently waiting for the next video
Not very often I'm lost for words,, shes got a frame of mind that I couldn't begin to understand,,
Virginia sounds mentaly ill and lonely . Horrific crime
Horrible case E A U very sad thank you great work ❤️❤️😢😢🙏🙏
This woman sounds like she's reading from a list . I am absolutely fuming . And it's sad how no one for frigin 4 years came to check on them
No words to describe how sick this is...this was carefully planned and calculated.
Any normal sane human being who kills anyone would be in a panic and would hand themselves in. To not do this and keep them hidden for four years is unbelievable.
I can't believe this person my parents treated me like crap but l took a lesson from that. I treated my Children properly, that's the lesson you take from a rotten childhood
Seriously, what's Autism got to do with her actions?
RIP John and Lois, my heart breaks for your real family. There is no excuse for what she did.
Why was she allowed to care for them with her mental health conditions?
I can’t believe how calm she was when the police came round
She has imagined this scenario countless times I bet
Well she had 4 years to prepare herself! 😢
Thanks
Thank you so much
Now I’m not saying she’s a totally innocent person- but hearing her upbringing and how none of her siblings had the courage to check on their parents tells me that harsh relationships were still present and she may have resented them so killing them was revenge.
She doesn’t shut up talking
Never heard verbal diarrhoea like it, it seemed like she was desperate to get it off her chest!
I just heard about this case. I’m so glad you covered it. It’s horrific. And as always, you told the story impressively.
A suppestion - can you make your logo bigger or maybe change the header to be white? It’s hard to see your thumbnails on my phone. White type would make them stand out a bit more.

@@evilamongus2022 great!
That is such an astute observation, I think you might be on to something
UK prison is going to be absolute Disney Land for her. It’s got all what she’s been searching for.
It gives "AHS: season 7 Cult" vibes
Autism isn’t a disorder
Found it odd that they didn’t tell advise her of her rights and proceed with the interrogation as she clearly wanted to talk.
Shades of Chandler Halderson.
"The truth shall set you free", a phrase so familiar, it's almost cliché.. But the older I get, the more poignant it becomes.
We become the lies we spew.
Where was the rest of the family?
No love lost...
@cdes1776 says alot
Can you do videos about Axel Rudakubana and Stephen McCullagh please?
Sounds like Narcissistic personality disorder, or just a plain old psychopath.
What an entitled brat.
22:11 “can I take you to it” (it wtf is it?)
23:03 “can you grab some hair bands as well”
25:27 “cheer up, at least you caught the bad guy” (also they know there are two decomposed bodies in the house they are in and you killed and stored them)
26:36 “so humm, the murder weapon….is upstairs…..” (like explaining when you left the keys)
27:37 “I know, I know, I know” (for her to tells me that the look on the cops faces were of shock)
This is like the 5th video this week about this case
She gained all that money and she couldn't even get her roots Sorted 🤷
Unbelievable
Never really sure why people express so much sympathy for people like this yes she had issues many of us do, we don’t kill 2 people especially stabbing someone to death.
psychiatrists for the prosecution, not the defence
@@evilamongus2022okay but what if the parents were monsters? Not rationalizing she’s insane and needs help and to be in a facility. None of this was normal
Mental health illness is no excuse to murder. Period!
mental illness is an explanation, not an excuse
Seen this on Tiktok she talking like shes been caught not paying for a shopping bag
I’ve heard this case told multiple times lately but I’m here for EAU’s take on it. I can understand how the pandemic assisted her at first but surely the siblings would have wanted to visit them after the lockdowns if they were the amazing grandparents and parents they said they were 🤷🏼♀️
Hey! I've got a case recommendation if you wish to cover it of course.
The case of the perpetrator duo Paul Bernardo And Karla Homolka.
that case has been presented countless times...reports on it are endlessly available literally EVERYWHERE..why would this be your recommendation?! (and that's a judgement, not a question. i.e. rhetorical)
My bad
I understand why people would judge her but I think she is very much disordered, largely due to her parents. Potentially BPD. Poor girl.
Such a cold twisted woman
She’s trying to come across as super helpful to the police
The fact is if she was realy so helpful she wouldn’t have left her parents decomposing for 4 years in the house she slept in the whole time
She’s only sorry she got caught
Evil personified
This idiot had over 4 years to get rid of bodies and left them there lol
Also brilliant episode EAU! Was hoping to find a good analysis of this case and not surprised it was you.
I agree. Autism is not a mitigating factor.
Aside from that point- I don’t believe she Autistic- I think many people (especially those in the legal system) are misdiagnosed as Autistic and are more likely to have anti social personality disorder.
What your next video about?
You will find out in a few days 😊
her mother wasnt stabbed , she hit her over the head numerous times with a hammer .
And then she stabbed her
Did she seriously try to control her own arrest ?
I'm sick of people using autism as an excuse! We don't all do this sort of thing
Not an excuse, but if you have it, it needs to be said. She didn't ask to be excused for it.
She did not use it as an excuse.
The spectrum is vast
it isn't an excuse, it's an explanation, as is her abusive upbringing and extreme social isolation
You can’t ‘have’ autism, it’s a brain type, just like you can’t have adhd. To use the word ‘have’ infers that said person can cure themselves of it, this is also false.
Just saying
Please make a video on my brothers best friend. Kevin hodgkinson randon stranger killed him wilst Kev fished (he fished for the uk) tragic case ( Sheffield)
What about the smell ?
I bet she had a right pongy minge
Sounds like chandler anderson who murdered his parents after lying about jobs and just waiting money
She Reminds me of Chandler Halderson and Sydney Powell.
All three killed their parents because their selfish lies were finally catching up with them and they could not face the consequences.
Victoria is like the two aforementioned AND like Carly Gregg. Which is a step more malicious than Chandler and Sydney. They were driven by the fear of being unmasked but Gregg just wanted to turn off the parental controls.
She killed out of contempt and to remove the obstacle in the way of “freedom” to do whatever she wanted.
Virginia and Carly are straight up psychopaths.
