The Kampong Glam Ramadan Bazaar is a vibrant and lively event that takes place annually in the heritage precinct of Kampong Glam, Singapore.
In 2024, the bazaar is set to be the largest and longest-running iteration in its history, operating for 34 days from March 2 to April 5. The bazaar will operate daily from 2pm to 11pm.
The bazaar will feature more than 100 stalls stretching along Kandahar Street, Muscat Street, and Baghdad Street. About 80 of these stalls will be selling food and beverages (F&B), while the rest will be retail vendors.
Visitors can expect to see live cooking shows and performances by Singaporean and Malaysian artistes, including Taufik Batisah, Tomok, and Alif Satar. In celebration of its bicentennial in 2024, the Sultan Mosque will be cast with light projections of archival images highlighting key moments from its history every Friday to Sunday from 7:30pm.
On March 23, Arab Street will be closed for the mass iftar, which has an estimated attendance of 1,500 individuals, including charity beneficiaries. Part of the proceeds from the iftar will go to Sultan Mosque and its beneficiary groups.
The organiser of the bazaar, One Kampong Gelam, is expecting to see about 700,000 visitors during this year’s event1. The stall rental prices for this year’s Ramadan bazaar will be kept to a maximum of S$13,800 for F&B vendors and S$3,500 for retail vendors. This cap will help keep the bazaar affordable for both vendors and consumers amidst rising costs.

It is good to visit for the experience. But if you wanna eat, say Mertabak, best to go to the usual stall cos the price at the bazaar are all inflated. 😊
