Assassin's Creed Mirage is finally here. So far I am really enjoying it. Still only a couple hours in the game so this is definitely beginner gameplay. Hope you enjoy the gameplay in 4K 60FPS on PC.
Assassin's Creed Mirage is an action-adventure game developed by Ubisoft Bordeaux and published by Ubisoft. The game is the thirteenth major installment in the Assassin's Creed series and the successor to 2020's Assassin's Creed Valhalla. - Ігри

The first of many Assassin's Creed Mirage gameplays. As far as initial impressions go, I'd say it resembles AC Origins to me the most, both visually and in terms of gameplay which I don't mind since I really enjoyed Origins. Anyway, this gameplay is from very early on in the game so it's about as basic as you can get in terms of combat/stealth but I still hope you enjoy it :)

Don't type combat gameplay like a stupid monkey if you only going to show actual combat 10 minutes later
You spend more time spinning around a enemy than fighting, parries have no weight or good animations, the slashes are off (looks like he is slashing at a dummy and not actually cutting someone), the finishing animations are good tho but combat takes way to long to reach that gratification. Not great, not terrible.
May have been better off using the AC3 combat system
I hope they fix that
honestly once you level up your sword and dagger, (not hard to do) the combat becomes much more enjoyable, you gotta work the combos tho, two fasg attaks and then hold for a strong attack for example gets you clean kills and smoother combat, just circling around an enemy is called not knowing how to play, also, if you're just waiting for parries, the combat becomes too repetitive.

@@FinnersEpicthat was my favorite one IMO it was an instant counter kill but it was smooth and just felt satisfying, hope we’ll see that in this series of games or another one sometime in the future :)
Man I just wanted them to bring back counter kills and the old combat. Not this. They almost tricked me. They almost had it. Oh well I guess Assassin’s Creed is well and truly dead

Not even close. Combat in those games felt silly and played nothing like Assassin's Creed. At least unity stuck to their roots. This looks great.
In ac1 the enemy ai would kick you in the nuts,grab you and throw you around,counter and stun you . Miss this features, now the ai in combat is just bland
In the old combat system, a skilled player could become almost unbeatable , even against an army. How far have they fallen. RIP AC franchise. 🙏

skilled players have been a thing in all games, a change in combat system isn't going to change that, this game just requires more skill imo, rather than just pressing one button to counter

You didn't need to be a "skilled player" to be unbeatable in the old combat system. It was braindead easy.
That doesn't really sound very Assassin tbh. I actually like the fact that Mirage encourages you to play stealthy. It goes back to following the AC1 trailer, where you kill your target, run away, and blend back in. Fighting everyone should not be the priority. Love that you can get overwhelmed
Game looks great visually, skill on the fence on getting it. Not going to bandwagon hate on it.
Can you please upload a video of combat only? Try to make it flawless, the game has smooth parrying and badass finishing animation, I want to watch more of em!
Smooth parrying??? Are you serious? Tell me you're being sarcastic. Literally every parry kill is the exact same animation and sometimes the game doesn't even let you one shot the enemy after a parry
@@r.a1301 Bruh use heavy attacks more, I literally haven't encountered the same finishing animation more than thrice. Stop spamming light attacks, don't forget heavy attacks exists.

Haven’t played assassin’s creed since unity and I was assassin’s creed fan for years the combat will never be like it was before so I’m gonna pass on this one too

I'm pretty disappointed too; I've stopped playing AC since Origins, waiting for a game of the franchise that would have come back to the old style; I'm not saying that games like Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla are bad, but they're not AC at all; I feel like Mirage has tried to be more "classic", but they can't rid of some gameplay features of these three that I mentioned. In my opinion the last real "Assassin's Creed" was Syndicate, which people hate so much (I can't understand why)

AC4 probably what got the game to the RPGS in the first place. It strayed so far premise wise tbh. It should've been an outlier, but it became the domino effect for future games.
Literally one of the reasons why they had to change the conbat system, starting with Unity. It was TOO fucking easy.
Looks a lot like combat in Odyssey and Valhalla (which I personally like) but without the special abilities that made combat more interesting in those.
I will always hate this combat style. Nothing like stabbing a character 40 times with a giant spear

i feel this! I stopped playing assassin's creed when it became like a hack and slash button mashing. I used to love rounding up enemies and doing the awesome counter kills and switching weapons for the different animations in the old ones. hoping that shit comes back out it seems everyone misses it

As a big fan of Metal Gear solid 5 and Hitman. This looks like my kind of game. Finally the classic Assassin's Creed

Yeah they completly ruined what made AC's combat system "special" Granted it was easy af cuz you could just spam the ohk counter all the time, but it made you feel like a bad ass. This shit looks like every other generic hack n slasher.
I agree, i still like in in this tho as in encourages you to be stealthy like an assassin and not just charge in like a barbarian chaining like 8 kills together 😂... still prefer the older games though

Enjoyed Origins, I liked Odyssey at first but then got bored of it. Loved Valhalla so much that I've finished the base game 2 times with over 70+ hours on each play + enjoyed so much the dlcs, especially Dawn of Ragnarok. Question is, should I buy Mirage or not ? Don't wanna waste money because I don't have too much right now and they are needed somewhere else. But I would like to buy a new game.
If you like the base mechanics of Valhalla, but you also like the traditional game design of the older AC games, this game is SOOOO worth it. Such a breath of fresh air to be a classic assassin again.
I also played Valhalla, but Dawn of Ragnarok was kinda disappointing for me. Gonna buy Mirage on sales, cuz it’s seems to be to simple. Can you give some words about Mirage story, is it too predictable or there is some sort of drama?)
Valhalla is better. Combat in this is horrible.

Does anyone know what are the default PC controls for parkour and sprinting?
You need to tap shift to make basim sprint and you need to press/hold spacebar to climb objects while sprinting or jogging
@devilzgaming8006 In Origins the default button was alt or ctrl for climbing. Glad they made the parkour controls like the old times.

I just finished playing Mirage and overall it's awesome that they went back to a more stealth focused game but they could've made the combat system more fluid when it came to countering but they basically made it the way they made it as a way of saying "you want to fight then have fun playing this character with a very weird counter strike"

I've played Unity, Syndicate and Origins. Enjoyed Unity's stealth and combat but it was mediocre compared to Origins, especially the combat. So I guess I enjoyed the gameplay of Origins more than that of Unity. Syndicate's combat was just plain bad button mashing. Will I enjoy Mirage? Does it hold its own against Origins? Loved the Origins setting and I want this game to be awesome to scratch my PoP/Arabian Nights itch. Never played Odyssey and Valhalla.
Bro the combat is at besg 3 buttons, theres like not that much difficulty and a high skill ceiling even at the hard difficulty, L1, R1 and square are genuinely the only buttons needed in combat, its ok but will not compare to its predecessors
So you don’t have to be there explaining to experience how to be successful and what you need but I do know you have a very strong spirit that is strong opinions that are strong in the world war you are a strong and effective defender and you have to understand the difference between strength of the enemy in your fight to win you have the ability involved and increase battle effectiveness and strategy of the war
Let's face it combat /stealth is never going to be as good ac unity and below, ubisoft os good at gaslighting it's audience

Unpopular opinion: I like the combat in newer AC games *WAY* more than in the older games with a counter button. Don't get me wrong, I love AC Black Flag to death, one of my favorite games period. But the player is way to op. You can basically jump on a giant war ship and clear the deck easily all by yourself, because of op counter mechanics and enemies orderly attacking one after the other. I really enjoy the gameplay in Origins and the games that came after, because fighting strong enemies or multiple opponents is actually a challenge.
That combat gameplay is why I didn’t buy.. Can’t believe they still don’t understand what people really want

I played about 3 hours of it and turned it off. Worse than Valhalla for me. They made the stealth better but it’s the same animations over and over and just gets boring very quickly. It’s no unity and far off from what they said it was gonna be.
Yup; I still hate the health bars, and combat is STILL inferior to everything including and before Unity.

I'm currently playing it, I always give another chance to AC, because I loved this game. The environment, graphic and everything is great, but for the love of god, get rid of this STUPID combat system. It's so useless, boring, and makes the game unplayable. The worst I have ever seen in a game. I'm supposed to fight in 1v1 then 3-5 enemies attacking at the same time, and I have to smash the idiot parry/dodge buttons constantly. No fucking real and enjoyable animations anymore or killing streaks, just this idiot dodging 24/7.

Valhalla was an utter shit ac game,decent rpg game,the story was horrendous and having to grind for hours just to do decent damage was not fun,if you a bigger fan of the rpg games stay away from mirage if you like the classics this game is awesome
