Well, if i want to play a newer game and feel like an assassin at the same time, i will play unity. But i think Mirage is doing a decent job. And i'm not being very harsh because i know the limitations that the devs had in the development of the game. So yeah, it does it's job.

0:51 is just so effortlessly stylish, using focus to "freeze" the throwing knife and then watching the guard beside you get taken out as the sequence ends -- it's poetic
@@AltairStealth Maybe that was the secret all along to the unique vibe the first games brought. A small team focused on a smaller but hand-crafted world. Not every game has to have a humongous game map that caters to every imaginable playstyle.
It has been a long time since I had this much fun with an AC game It is a shame the game is rather short and still has a few annoying flaws, because it does so many things right, I was not expecting that Please Ubi, give Bordeaux a shot for a bigger game based on this formula, this could be huge
@@ANI_Editz612do not stop on the "imagine" play and enjoy the game we've good, an amazing game in my opinion.. and hope that Ubi lets Bordeaux develop another AC game in the future
@@GigiusMaximus but the double assassination technique began with Ezio, not even Altaïr did that. Later on some assassins used the hidden blade and a weapon for the double kills.
ubisoft gave us an ac game that has amazing stealth and is inspired by the older ones, and people aren't buying it because "the animations are the same as in valhalla" smh.
Yep, the stealth actually works now and the detection system is really realistic, I saw some videos where NPCs also notice your deeds, so your notoriety rises if you are spotted assassinating or stealing.
I saw many reviews and the biggest issue was a less exciting story and characters otherwise bagdad and stealth were highly praised. Ai was also criticised.
@@Taliban.The.Hyperpower you don’t have to use it, the whole point of the game is that it gives you options and variety, tools that work for any situation you may need. The teleport is just there, half the time you’ll forget about it if you don’t like it.
The music is so good too, whenever you run out of combat because you're overwhelmed with that sweet track in the background, genuinely makes me smile and feel joy like no other game ever has. 10/10 game for me
I used to think Assassin Focus was just them being lazy to not make it like the multi takedown in Arkham Knight / Ghost. I really take that back after seeing what focus is truly capable of when using it in such a stylish way, honestly if they advertised it the way you used it like with that throwing knife kill, I think far less people would've been hating on the ability.
I’ve been seeing a lot of hate for the Assassin focus, but I think it’s to show how skilled Basim/Assassins are at what they do. The Assassins are trained to be silent and efficient killers, and this skill showcases their ability to do just that.
I think people being lazy to think that this ability is completely different 😊. Assassin focus is used for travel and multi takedown not chain from one to another in a close arena
Actually, if you play the game in max difficulty, Assassin Focus ability makes absolut sense since enemies' detecting AI in hard mode is really good. Better than I expected, I must say.
The first game has always kept a special place in my heart and I still regularly play it. Mirage is a breath a fresh air after so many games that felt nothing like it, and I am delighted to play it
The only thing I dislike about this game is: The chain assassination animation. Basim throws a light weight throwing knife with is whole upper body. It just looks, weird imo. Guess you just have to get used to it :/. The hidden blade assassination speed. I also think that some animations could be a little better, but It's only a minor thing :). And the parkour could also use a bit of tweaking, but it's so minimal that I can live without it. It just feels a bit clunky sometimes, and sometimes I feel the momentum gets disrupted by something, but I haven't figured out what yet. Currently loving the game very much! I love the new Notority system and the Contracts. You really feel like a thief and, of course, *an assassin* . Love it!
Mirage is a lot of fun. Definitely reminds me a lot of the Ezio games. It’s far from perfect, but I honestly think it’s a great stepping stone for returning to the old style AC in the near future.
Bold of you to assume that they're permanently returning to the old formula. I guarantee you this was a one time thing to try and please the fans that like a more grounded classic AC style game. I bet Code Red will go back and even double on the RPG elements.
@@leonecartelreborn9628 they’ve already stated multiple times that Code red will be rpg, and that they’re continuing rpg style games… but they’re also going to focus on smaller, older style games. AC Hexe will apparently be the first full return to past-format game. Whether that’s true, time will only tell but Mirage gives me hope for this kind of style making a come back.

Something bothers me about this game's assassination animations. Whenever you try to assassinate an enemy whether from their back or straight in their face, they seem to stop what they're doing waiting for you to assassinate them without Basim holding say their neck or waist before the assassination or anything. videogame dunkey is actually the one who got me to notice this in his review to AC Mirage and I kinda can't unsee now.
Reading your thoughts in the description made me so happy for some reason, it’s like seeing that passion, that spark reignite in a longtime AC fan, same thing happened to me, I was honestly checked out of the franchise after origins, and valhalla was ok, but Mirage is that game that made me love AC again, I’m halfway through the game and am loving every moment of it, pretty much every mission is stealth focused and paired with the notoriety system it’s awesome! watching your stealth vids just make me love mirage even more!

Even with all the changes the make it “not old school” I love this variation of Assasins creed. Also love to see you using the animus glitch ability, I use it as a nice transition but a lot of people hate it, hopefully they add it to the next game bur with better animations. Assassins creed mirage really does carry the essence of assassins creed well. for the first time since unity, i feel like i’m actually playing an assassins creed game again. not greek mercenary simulator or a viking game, i’m playing a game that gets what the assassin fantasy is
Finally, AC is back. No more leveling up, no more XP grinding at nameless forts for no reason, no more 100+ filler quests IN THE MAIN CAMPAIGN. I'm loving it so far, it feels...designed, instead of just slapped together. I can't believe there's people who liked how Odyssey felt to play, it was just pointless quest after pointless quest with ZERO mention of the Assassins or Templars until the DLC. Unfortunately, Ubisoft didn't pay for review copies and positive reviews this time around, so it's getting bashed by influencers and review sites (which I can't believe people actually listen to...I mean, they are literally paid to lie to you). Hopefully, the dev team and Ubisoft understand it's just white-noise and should be ignored as they head into development on the next AC. I'm back to being a HUGE fan of the series (I mean...I didn't like Origins and Odyssey, liked Valhalla ok...but I still played them through).

This game deffinitely get's the basic's of what an Assassin is, but it really only get's the basic's. I wish this game went more into the philosophy of the Assassin's more but this game was mean't to be a DLC so I can deal with it.
Actually the assassins are still the hidden ones in this game, I think the phylosophy was crafted more later on. Even if the game gives us the basics, it is still very satisfying and is way better than Odyssey and Valhalla, and I'd say it is right beside Origins.
@@_The_Quiet_Wolf_ I dont think you understand what I mean, I know that the Hidden One's are the Assassin's and the philosophy isnt something that was crafted, it's always been there.

@@qkwwiuwhejajawlw Yeah, heard about that. Maybe if they have success with Mirage being back to basics, they will decide to go that way instead. At least i hope so.
It also helps that they cooked HARD with the assassin robes in this game. Both the initiate and the master assassin robes are probably the best looking we've ever got since the Ezio games tbh.
Playing this game has been an absolute joy. It has some great stuff it took inspiration from with the older games. Definitely exceeded my expectations.
I love this game, and even if we don’t get a dlc or NG+ I’m happy with what we got. Stealth is fast and satisfying, the story revolves around being an assassin, no grinding for 40 different armor peices and spending into a skill tree to see if my blade can stab a guy.l and no choice system that goes against playing pre established events.
Assassin's Creed as a whole has become a lot more ambitious in its scale, and this game is such a breath of fresh air from the gargantuan games they've been releasing. Not that there's anything wrong with them, I just haven't felt like this playing an AC game genuinely since the first time I played through the first one with Altair. Mirage has definitely found its place in my heart. Amazing video by the way, I think what you do on UA-cam is truly an artform.
I watched a ton of review videos from content creators that were actually invited to playtest this game and watching them stumble around haplessly through the demo made me not want to get this game but your video convinced me otherwise. Hell, it was your Unity videos that convinced me to give the game another chance. Your skills never fail to impress.
Finally back to the roots, I am about to start playing it myself, but all the videos I watched are really showing Ubisoft is keeping the promise of taking us back to those times where we were actually playing as assassins. Will upload some gameplay myself, you always inspire me, mate!
Nice! Always fun and awesome watching your stealth vids, i loved this game so much it's so awesome feeling like a proper Assassin again now lets hope they keep to this old and new famular they got going with this game and add it to the next installments
You'll obviously get this a lot, but that use of Assassin's Focus is something I can really get behind and see how it can be a great addition to the game's tools
I never thought the day would come when fans would be satisfied with a genre that is what it should be in the first place. You know Ubisoft has gone down hill when even asking for a game with assassins in the ac franchise is almost as rare as winning the lottery
Credit where credit is due. The stealth is great in this game. The lore is back with the bureau's and the eavesdropping and investigations, and blackbox style missions. Its great. Just wish they spent a bit more time on traversal. But its a step in the right direction. Also, they need more side missions/contracts because I completed all my contracts and the contracts were unavailable until the end of the game.
Dude that was a fuckin bad ass run. The more I play and get use to the game the more I love it and become hopeful for future AC games. Great vid. Time to go play more Mirage
Give me Mirage - crowd reactions, notoriety, stealth(crowd blending feels great on my abs), enemy persistence(aka dead enemies stay dead, instead of respawning if you walk slightly to far), an assassins plot, & assassination kill animations Unity - parkour system/animations (I like mirage snappyness, but still miss unity controls), & camera distance (maybe a lil closer camera option personally) Odyssey - ship battles, world size, gear progression & customization ( maybe even the war battles) Valhalla - hub area upgrades/ vendors, cloaks, combat mechanics, & maybe more fleshed out siege battles Classic AC games style cutscenes / exposition delivery
It definitely has given Me the feeling of being an Actual Assassin and I love that it's Assassin based this time around, not to say that I had problems with the last two games being RPG focused. But let's be honest since Origins this is what we all wanted another "Assassin's Creed" Game!! 😂💛✨
I like it, I just this the animations are so clunky. like there’s a full second of thinking anything you go to perform an assassination, unity’s animations and assassin feel will never be topped man
This game is dope. I do wish that it was little more fleshed out weapon wise, like I miss being able to actually equip the hidden blade and use it as a weapon, and I see no reason why we can’t have a bow while the NPCs have bows, I mean it’s not like Assassins were against using bows, crossbows, and eventually guns, as we’ve seen. But this game is definitely a step back in the right direction. At least it’s stealth focused and actually centered around Assassins again. It’s like the first Assassin’s Creed and AC Origins had a baby. 🙌
What the hell is this? Guards screaming their lungs out by burning with fire and no one notices them, watching their comrades dead on the floor covered in a pool of blood and just pass through like it was nothing, no atention to detail whatsoever.
Awesome intro + badass flow, even the guards pretend not to hear you burning their friends alive lmao "maybe if i pretend to be asleep he wont stab me next". But seriously I agree with everything you said! Even the teleport skill grew on me.
I stopped playing Assassin's Creed after Unity and one of the reasons I stopped playing was because it didn't feel like you were an Assassin and so I didn't like the newer games, so I stopped playing and now I'm back to loving Assassin's Creed because of this game
FINALLY!! Someone showing off the games true appearance and not shitting on it, it’s not perfect for combat purposes just yet, BUT the stealth is soooo much fucking fun!! EDIT: thank you for posting this, game well my friend
I’ve spent a ton of time just walking the streets and doing slow methodical parkour and finding chains of guards to take you with style. It’s so much fun even with the constraints.
the only thing I want back is the combat mechanic like black flag where you can counter the enemy attack. fight easily and swiftly against multiple enemies.
Why is every enemy just straightening up like a statue just before they are killed?.. Perfectly upright, hands by their sides, just waiting for that knife in their gut. Looks like an incomplete/ glitchy animation

The most fun I’ve had playing Assassin’s Creed in years.
Amazing game in all aspects, this is what I want to see.
Im so happy with this game
I used to think Assassin Focus was just them being lazy to not make it like the multi takedown in Arkham Knight / Ghost. I really take that back after seeing what focus is truly capable of when using it in such a stylish way, honestly if they advertised it the way you used it like with that throwing knife kill, I think far less people would've been hating on the ability.
I honestly wouldve preferred if it was Fear Takedown or at least Mark & Execute
I’ve been seeing a lot of hate for the Assassin focus, but I think it’s to show how skilled Basim/Assassins are at what they do. The Assassins are trained to be silent and efficient killers, and this skill showcases their ability to do just that.
they definitely need people like this making gameplay trailers
I think people being lazy to think that this ability is completely different 😊. Assassin focus is used for travel and multi takedown not chain from one to another in a close arena
Actually, if you play the game in max difficulty, Assassin Focus ability makes absolut sense since enemies' detecting AI in hard mode is really good. Better than I expected, I must say.

The first game has always kept a special place in my heart and I still regularly play it. Mirage is a breath a fresh air after so many games that felt nothing like it, and I am delighted to play it
Im so happy we have it
The only thing I dislike about this game is:
The chain assassination animation.
Love it!

Apparently me saying "one of the things Fortnite is known for is the toxic people" which is obviously supposed to refer to the opposite of @Buff_Yoda saying "this is the least toxic game I've ever played, don't even remember the last time I ran into a toxic player" is the same exact thing as me saying fortnite is mostly known as a toxic game. Playing this game has been an absolute joy. It has some great stuff it took inspiration from with the older games. Definitely exceeded my expectations.
Couldn't agree more!
this game is so buggy
No it isn’t lol
I love this game, and even if we don’t get a dlc or NG+ I’m happy with what we got. Stealth is fast and satisfying, the story revolves around being an assassin, no grinding for 40 different armor peices and spending into a skill tree to see if my blade can stab a guy.l and no choice system that goes against playing pre established events.
i hope we do get ng+ tho
@@AltairStealth same. But not sure if it will get more support due to sales. Though it is second most selling in the UK I think.
It feels good to have a smaller AC
That was really cool seeing those two focus kills finish before the throwing knife landed
:)
I was waiting for your Mirage Stealth Videos and you did not disappoint.
Thank you my friend
bro!! you make the game look good sheshhhh
I watched a ton of review videos from content creators that were actually invited to playtest this game and watching them stumble around haplessly through the demo made me not want to get this game but your video convinced me otherwise. Hell, it was your Unity videos that convinced me to give the game another chance.
Your skills never fail to impress.
You are very kind, i hope you enjoy the game
He teleports?!
he teleports
Finally back to the roots, I am about to start playing it myself, but all the videos I watched are really showing Ubisoft is keeping the promise of taking us back to those times where we were actually playing as assassins. Will upload some gameplay myself, you always inspire me, mate!
I hope you enjoy the game mate
Nice! Always fun and awesome watching your stealth vids, i loved this game so much it's so awesome feeling like a proper Assassin again now lets hope they keep to this old and new famular they got going with this game and add it to the next installments
Glad you enjoy it!
As always I say, amazing video and then again you made it look like a movie. Cheers, dude!
Wow, thanks!
You'll obviously get this a lot, but that use of Assassin's Focus is something I can really get behind and see how it can be a great addition to the game's tools
Its nice to see people coming around to ir
I hope Ubisoft keeps the teleportation mechanic for future games. It's too bad ass to leave out.
I never thought the day would come when fans would be satisfied with a genre that is what it should be in the first place. You know Ubisoft has gone down hill when even asking for a game with assassins in the ac franchise is almost as rare as winning the lottery
True lmao
This is the best ac mirage gameplay ive seen
Thank you!
More side missions would be nice
Dude that was a fuckin bad ass run. The more I play and get use to the game the more I love it and become hopeful for future AC games. Great vid. Time to go play more Mirage
Thanks bro, I can’t stop playing either
Give me
Mirage - crowd reactions, notoriety, stealth(crowd blending feels great on my abs), enemy persistence(aka dead enemies stay dead, instead of respawning if you walk slightly to far), an assassins plot, & assassination kill animations
Unity - parkour system/animations (I like mirage snappyness, but still miss unity controls), & camera distance (maybe a lil closer camera option personally)
Odyssey - ship battles, world size, gear progression & customization ( maybe even the war battles)
Valhalla - hub area upgrades/ vendors, cloaks, combat mechanics, & maybe more fleshed out siege battles
Classic AC games style cutscenes / exposition delivery
Ideal game
Every time I see your videos: “Okay I’m not playing the game right!”
😂😂
AT last a game that works. No more fighting with the controls trying to make them work, only to be killed at the final hurdle. Well done UBISOFT.
Does anybody know how you can throw the smoke bomb direct under you 1:18 , i always have to aim first
U hold the aim button and then click The corresponding button at the bottom left of the screen for the smoke
ok thank you
“I feel like an assassin again!”
*Teleports like nightcrawler*
lmao
Tip of the day: you can shoot heavy enemies in the leg to make them fall and then one shot them
King thank you
That throwing knife into assassin focus really took me by surprise. well done
Thank you my friend
0:37 classic ubisoft
💀
all the stealth needs to be perfect is a cover system and a double assassination mechanic
it does need double assassination
@@AltairStealth fr chain assassinating from a foot away makes me feel like an idiot
It definitely has given Me the feeling of being an Actual Assassin and I love that it's Assassin based this time around, not to say that I had problems with the last two games being RPG focused. But let's be honest since Origins this is what we all wanted another "Assassin's Creed" Game!! 😂💛✨
it feels good to have one again
Fr!! @@AltairStealth
I like it, I just this the animations are so clunky. like there’s a full second of thinking anything you go to perform an assassination, unity’s animations and assassin feel will never be topped man
Yeah but this game is great
God that was smooth
❤️❤️
I have a feeling that outfit that Basim wore in valhalla is upgraded suit of master assassin suit
i think its different
This game is dope. I do wish that it was little more fleshed out weapon wise, like I miss being able to actually equip the hidden blade and use it as a weapon, and I see no reason why we can’t have a bow while the NPCs have bows, I mean it’s not like Assassins were against using bows, crossbows, and eventually guns, as we’ve seen. But this game is definitely a step back in the right direction. At least it’s stealth focused and actually centered around Assassins again. It’s like the first Assassin’s Creed and AC Origins had a baby. 🙌
I like the simplicity
Finally now Mirage is getting so much love
To see Altair Stealth in his element playing an ACTUAL Assassin's Creed experience is great, man, keep up the good content!
Will do! Thank you
What the hell is this? Guards screaming their lungs out by burning with fire and no one notices them, watching their comrades dead on the floor covered in a pool of blood and just pass through like it was nothing, no atention to detail whatsoever.
Awesome intro + badass flow, even the guards pretend not to hear you burning their friends alive lmao "maybe if i pretend to be asleep he wont stab me next".
But seriously I agree with everything you said! Even the teleport skill grew on me.
Glad you enjoyed
I stopped playing Assassin's Creed after Unity and one of the reasons I stopped playing was because it didn't feel like you were an Assassin and so I didn't like the newer games, so I stopped playing and now I'm back to loving Assassin's Creed because of this game
So glad youre back
The part where the guard get erased by the throwing knife while ur were doing the focus assassin I never thought that
;)
FINALLY!! Someone showing off the games true appearance and not shitting on it, it’s not perfect for combat purposes just yet, BUT the stealth is soooo much fucking fun!! EDIT: thank you for posting this, game well my friend
Glad you enjoyed the video!
I’ve spent a ton of time just walking the streets and doing slow methodical parkour and finding chains of guards to take you with style. It’s so much fun even with the constraints.
its such a fun game
mirage is so underrated
it is outside the fanbase
0:50 is the reason why I love Assassin's Focus
Makes for cool chains
Is anyone else having a problem with Ubisoft Connect store infinitely loading? I cant seem to fix it even with a complete reinstall.
This is top tier wow! Very and I mean very nice chains. I found the fire noise maker the most interesting im definitely going to try this out 🤝
Please do!
the only thing I want back is the combat mechanic like black flag where you can counter the enemy attack. fight easily and swiftly against multiple enemies.
Would be cool
I was waiting for this video to drop!
hope you enjoyed!
0:50 when that throwing knife hits🤤
So satisfying
This is very similar to the Dishonored
It is lowkey
Why is every enemy just straightening up like a statue just before they are killed?.. Perfectly upright, hands by their sides, just waiting for that knife in their gut. Looks like an incomplete/ glitchy animation
It was worst in the older series but you wasn’t complaining tho right😂
@@joey2765 Nah.... In the older games it wasn't so obvious. Additionally, if such a "glitch" has been in previous games and it hasn't been fixed, it only shows the laziness of the developers.
@@andrejsasd8904 what are you talking about?😂 buddy I’ve been playing every AC since ac1 (except chronicles). All ai especially from the old ACs was standing like statues not even that some don’t even move at all from a spot😂. The newer ACs actually makes the ai way more realistic. You don’t even know what you’re saying. You just ready to cry and nitpick at Ubisoft😂
Dude, you really nailed it. Amazing gameplay
Thanks bro
Basin should’ve been the main character in Valhalla. Just because it’s in the age of Vikings we don’t necessarily need a Viking as the main character
100% agree
