- Welcome to Assassin's Creed Mirage. Today I have few highlights from my first play session. I'm pretty early in the game for this one so there are some limitation to the gameplay. So far, the game is enjoyable & it's basically what I thought it was going to be, some good some bad. Overall the game has met my expectations & I'll continue playing through to see how it ends up. it is so satisfying to watch your stealth gameplays , just like a master at work . Lookin forward to seeing more of mirage's stuff
Game is so damn fluid. Running rooftops constantly & having parkour routes again in an AC game feels so right
the game CAN BE* fluid. It can also be insanely buggy and look awful. Its really 50/50 at times

Best one I've seen so far. Well played! That bench assassination looks the best in all of the series except that hand glitching through the brute guards.
Gameplay looks smooth. Climbing mechanics seem a lot better too.

They’re the same mechanics just sped up. The terrain is a lot closer together and there’s more smooth walls which makes it feel like the mechanics are different.
@@CpTn_QwRk units parkour is literally only cool to look at. every single ac after unity had parkour that doesnt feel like running into invisible walls.
I like it! I was not sure if I would like games based on all reviews I saw, but I was looking for a slow, stealth skills gameplay, and you just sold me the game. SOLD!!!

Best AC they’ve made in the RPG style. Were nowhere near the fluidity of Unity’s gameplay, Mirage still feels somewhat clunky, but the story is interesting and the gameplay is fun. A positive start in the right direction, well done Bordeaux
i still prefer origins

@@shimik11 I have only played it a bit since I don't really enjoy the newer games that much. Valhalla and odyssey were a huge turn off to the series for me and I was afraid that origins would end up being more of the same. At least it hasn't lost my interest yet since it doesn't feel that much like a tedious grindfest.
Origins is still my favorite. I'm loving Mirage so far

@@theguy3129 yes, it's a lot better. In fact. There multiple things about the game thats better then Origins. Like increase enemy ai detection, add back some of the old tools like throwing knives and smoke bombs and blow darts and even add some new ones. Also this is the first ac game where you actually train to become a assassin instead of just simply watching a cutscene. And the fact that we hadn't had a initiation cutscene in any of the RPG games just says how much better the story has returned to the classic ac. And the Parkour still may be a little clunky but it's the best Parkour we had in years. And this game probably has the best wanted system too. Like when someone spots you fail or pickpocket or murder someone they'll continue to shout for the guards throughout Baghdad, and if you walk around the city while you're wanted, civilians will recognize you and call for the guards. Like that feature is some rdr2 level shit. And to add to the Impressiveness of the ai, the fact that the guards become more and more alert, the more body's they find is a really nice detail and it actually gives you a reason to hide the body's after killing someone. And this game by far has the best Parkour environment out of every Assassins Creed game.
@@ienjoyedmystay5521 Impressive Ai? The Ai is fucking dumb is what it is. And the Parkour is clunky and stuff. Origins had way better improvised parkour and the much better game in general.
This is shit they were doing in AC2, stop acting likes its innovation. Its just copy paste bs from older games because AC fans are never happy. They couldn't even give basim unique animations its just a reskinned eivor. Before you tell me this was meant to be a dlc at first I know that already but my point is if you're gonna make it into a full fledged game put in more effort. Their stupid store gets more effort than the actual game.

I am loving Mirage so far. I've been starving for an AC game starring an actual hidden one/assassin after being absent for two game with demigods and vikings. It's nice to have an actual working stealth system after the mess that was Valhalla.

They actually managed to improve the environmental blending mechanics somewhat better than Unity's. That assassination from bench wasn't in previous installments, was it?
It was actually in the games from AC2 to Syndicate I believe. Definitely until black flag syndicate I'm not sure. AC2 had a very similar animation as well. The more you know!

Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag specifically had assassinating Woodes Rogers from a bench as his 100% sync requirement.
It was there from AC2, brotherhood and revelations

Even the NPC AI came from it’s roots I feel like I'm playing a 2008 game in 2023 with modern graphics that's it.

I mean the chain assassination skill is technically a double assassinate
ac mirage takes place before the time of Altair and Altair created the double hidden blade they’re just following lore.
As we can see that a dense map is ideal for showing off parkour
This stealth system reminds me of AC SYNDICATE

In the hands of a pro AC player, this game becomes one of the best stealth focused games out there!

I’m definitely not expecting movement like Unity, but I hope they at least made the stealth look cool and fun
Update after watching:
The movement seems a tiny bit smoother than Valhalla, but I wish the assassinations were either more stylish or more deadly. He rarely stabs in the neck, the head, or the heart.
Gameplay looks fine, but I probably wont get the game myself. Thanks for showing it off for us!

he always stabs in the neck the head or the heart the ones where he stabs the back go into the heart because he stabs the left side, also assassinations are super clean only thing thats a bit disappointing is there are no double assassinations, but the teleportation skill is really useful and looks amazing, also if u play the game u notice the parkour is super smooth, and freerunning is definitely a lot better than valhalla

You surely didn t play the old games. The freerun is robotic and the assassinations take like 5 seconds. 5 SECONDS FOR AN ASSASSINATION. In unity they lasted like 1 second like an assassin should do it. I can't say how many times in 5 hours i got detected just because the animations take five years. It's a step in the right direction but still horrible. The only satisfying thing in this game is to crush them with debris. Other than that, everything assassin-related is garbage. It's because of the valhalla engine mostly. Hopefully they will not forget about the actually good ac games and make only cheap rpg games like the last ones.@@imalittlefish7823

I don't care what anyone says about this game, this is one of my favorite games from the AC franchise. just on your first mission as a hidden one, you start to feel that you actually need to use stealth, especially because of those armored guards that you can't one-shot with a stealthy attack.

Agreed. I was skeptical at first, but after a couple hours into the game, I think Ubisoft really nailed it. I’m loving it so far, and it may be one of my favorite AC games

This game takes place hundreds of years before Altair was born, unfortunately the creative director for the game confirmed no post launch content but that could change.
@@galidian4657if I read correctly, this was intended to be post launch content for Vahalla but then they reworked the systems to be more true to the original series. Sounds more like they’re pushing for the mobile spinoff and the Japan installment.

I do gotta say, with how they made it graphically look, I don't really mind thay teleport assassination thing.
I've been playing since AC1, and ya gotta think, the Animus glitched in one way or another on every game.
Even the whole "Altaiir can't swim" thing was also technically just the Animus glitching, in lore.
if anything the teleport assassination thing looks cool af especially whne you mix it with air assassination,
reminds me of Dishonored 1's Daud's Blink teleport+Bend Time mechanics except on autopilot

How come in later games with Altair robes they stopped adding his gloves and his knife sheath to his back?
The gloves, I have no idea. But the knife sheathe on his back doesn't make much sense when you don't have a dagger to put there, and in Mirage's case, it's because you already have a knife sheathe on your belt.

I wish this was a prince of persia game that connects it to the ac franchise. Easily could have been with a title change and some story tweaks because the gameplay is so reminiscent of p.o.p in my opinion
