I own one of these. Punches above its weight. For moders, keep in mind it's built in metric. Most mod parts don't use metrics, so there's no easy drop-ins for upgrading hardware.
You’re playing as always, PHENOMENAL! Your review and breakdown of the gear, always brutally HONEST! I do rely on your knowledge and expertise when I’m considering buying a guitar. TRUST! Thank you JOHN, and ZACH! ⭐️⭐️🙏⭐️⭐️
I just got one a week ago, and i have a perfect one, zero issues and i love it, im gonna compare it to a player 2 tele my son just bought, im curious to compare
I would replace anyways the original saddles with the Wilkinson compensated. Teles had those intonation problems from the beginning until the 6 saddles hardtail. Great demo anyways. Other than the saddles I think it's worth to buy it for the price, even upgrade the tuners.
Besides the baritone, there is a matching Squier Classic Vibe '60s Esquire in sunburst, and that is a guitar I own. My local music store had 2 of these on sale and the one I bought had a perfect setup that was so much better than the other one. I did look under the pickguard and there was no route for a neck pickup, so it was built to be an Esquire from inception. Too bad about the saddles on yours but I changed mine to compensated brass saddles right away. Other than installing CTS pots and a Switchcraft jack there is nothing left to upgrade. The pickup, tuners and nut are just fine.
I love it when someone can buy and receive a relatively good yet inexpensive guitar that plays well, resonates nicely, sounds good, and inspires them to play. The only thing about these at least in my experience- the chrome hardware seems to tarnish super-easily. I am one of those people when I put a guitar away for the day/session/gig, I leave NO fingerprints or sweat, etc… I never had this tarnish issue with any other level Fender guitar. Maybe they’ve gotten better with the chrome playing. Hopefully they have.
The classic vibes aren’t what they used to be. Fender changed nearly everything about them. Previous custom had alder body, rosewood neck, tonerider pickups and quality hardware. Made in China. Even the finish was different, old one actually had an authentic 60s 3 tone sunburst rather then this 2 tone burst.
@@bldallas clearly you’ve never played quality made guitars must be more accurate. You can spend the same amount of money on almost any other brand and get more for that money and that’s a fact. Squires are close to if not at the bottom of the barrel. Junk.
@@bldallas sorry I’ve never seen or held anything remotely decent named Squire. I’ve been playing since 1980. They’re crap. You can get better for the same price elsewhere. Luckily i was able to sell a Squire I got suckered into from all the great UA-cam ratings. It was crap but some Squire loving dude gladly took it off my hands.

I have the older made in China version, no issues, I love it! I did change steel saddles to brass saddles.

I put a Charlie Christian Pickup in my neck. I love it. Very heavy for a tele. Still need to get a proper bridge and nut as well.

Great looking 🎸‼️👍
I agree with you. They have the debut series and the affinity series and believe it or not the east coast se4
Love that guitar, its om my list

Yep. .I got 2014 and 15 from grand rewards plant.. excellent in every way.
I prefer two tone.
Swap out the saddles for intonatable Gotohs and keep rolling.
Great review.👍
Will you check the Player II series soon?
Absolutely. Fender announced before most were in stock. We have an order in and will be reviewing. Thanks for watching!
Could you check Fender Mustang 90 Aged Natural ,too? Thanks
Sounded like an Agathis body guitar! 😅😅😅
Sorry to be that guy.- ALuminum NIckel CObalt. Not ALuminum KNEEkel Cobalt.
Junk
Some as issues...but overall...good guitars
@@bldallas i've had maybe a dozen guitars since the last 40 years...not one was perfect...thats the way it is..and what made them unique

@@martinlahaie6012 try a Harley Benton for half the cost. Or Eart, also for less.
