I've got a rebuilt Nitro Star 15SS (yes, the one w/ the black cooling head) and I see that engine in the Super Nitro you drove both sound and appear to perform quite the same. I also noticed that mine is a quiet, low RPM, not huge on power, but super easy to start & tune on the needle. Thanks again, and I hope to see more nitro RS4 videos! It seems they're making a 2nd or 3rd comeback!

Hey man, thanks for checking out this video, just to let you know, this original engine came with only a single needle carburetor. That means there is no ability to tune for the low end and that is why it seems extremely rich in this case. I was also running a relatively high oil content fuel because this after all is a very old engine.
thanks my dude! Yes, this model is not fast, the stock muffler is the main limiting factor. I'd say a pipe would be a good investment, but on the other hand keeping it stock is also important.
Having a hard time finding a decent body for my redcat lighting. Seems to be a little longer like the super nitro rs4. Do you have wheel length on that car or size of body ?
Hey my friend, I am glad and also surprised that you noticed that. It seems I have used a servo which does have a lot of torque and metal gears but the downside is it doesn’t hold the center very well. It always has like a 2 to 3° deflection which means the gears Are just not well machines and the stepping is too large. and that is why it’s almost always going crooked. Basically needs a normal servo installed.

Hey Hybrid! Do you have any recent vlogs on breaking in today's nitro engines and how to maintain them long term? I know this topic has always been controversial with different methods but I see some of those older nitro engines still running and I would love to keep my Traxxas 3.3 running for years to come. I recently tried a break in method and the motor locked up and broke the piston and crank case on the third tank.

Why is the steering so touchy is the servo not strong enough to hold it

I used to run a Hong Nor exhaust in my nitro, the complete opposite from yours, they are so loud and powerful.
