    (There is an error in the music in my book. In measure 26 in the RH, it should be an F#-A, not an F natural.)
    Things to Remember - 0:00
    Play with Me - 3:20
    Metronome = 60

    Great! We purchased the same book and we are glad to find your lessons that my kid can practice from home by herself.

    As you emphasize this a lot: what technique can I use to bring it out the melody note on a chord, or here in this case the two notes of the first beat, first measure. Sometimes it works for, sometimes it doesn’t, but I can’t put my finger on it what I did right (or wrong.) I’d like to practice this, but I couldn’t find anything that’s useful to me as a beginner. 🙁

      I know this is a challenge for all beginners and many intermediate players. Many teachers won't even bring it up until the student is almost in the advanced level. I have many viewers at many different levels of playing and understanding so I try to have something for everyone. If bringing out the melody is not working now, then don't bother with it. You can always add it later when you have more control over your fingers.
      To practice it, first use the scales. Play one hand louder than the other and alternate which hand is louder. Once that is relatively easy, then move on to multiple notes at a time. Do 2 notes at a time. Anything will do for practice as long as you are playing two notes at a time in one hand. In order for a note to be louder, it must be played with more 'force' than softer notes. I hesitate using force as it implies tension and we don't want any more tension than we have to have. I use weight to play so I put more weight on the louder note. That is not very difficult in itself, but it is hard to do that and still get both notes down at the same time. This can take months/years to get for some people so be patient. If you can do 2 notes at a time, then try 3. This means alternating between the 3 notes and making each one louder. The theory is that you should be able to play any number of notes at a time and control how loud any single note is. That doesn't always work depending on what the fingering is for the chord in question. This is hard to describe so I'll make a note to do a video on this subject eventually.

    Do you play an F# in measure 26 with the right hand at 4:41? In my book it shows F and A for the right hand but I think it's a typo? It sounds wrong, F# sounds right.

      Yes, that is an error in the music. It should be an F#. Good catch!
