As an older person, I have come across a few very wise young people on the internet recently. Its refreshing and great to know there is some intelligence left through all the brain rot content. I agree with your points in this video. I have studied the occult for a couple of years now, and one of the main takeaways I have is no one has the truth. Not one person, because there is no truth. So when you see these click baity thumbnails with truth slapped on it I scroll on by. I am also the same with philosophy. I would frame myself as a philosopher. I ask deep questions and postulate on these questions, musing on the duality of them, but never, would I claim to have the answer to treat lifes problems. If Carl Jung couldn't find answers in the depths of his psyche then how can a two bit youtube presenter claim to be able to cure your life? Many of lifes problems, especially mental issues, originates from social media these days.
While I enjoy the channels that try to sell their idea of a meaningful life, I think the only meaning is that which you create for yourself. However, the videos comfort me when I’m unsure how to create one haha. Thank you for taking the time to write such a long and meaningful comment; it means a lot to me.
Youre more than welcome :).. we come to social media for the connections. Sadly, with the rise of AI & bots those connections are getting fewer and fewer. It has been designed to keep up slopping around in the thick soup of the web/net (its of no coincidence the terms seem so.. fitting (which this has given me an idea for a video :)). Thank you for replying and putting out a well thought out and succinct video
hey, i’ll be honest - i don’t really know who you are (welp, obviously, it’s not like we know each other), but i’m just as lost & don’t know what to do more often than not. instead of looking for answers on youtube, i mostly just try to process the stuff myself; possibly come up with a solution, or explain something to myself in clear terms. and every single time i manage to glue myself back together, i also feel an immense need to share that newfound „wisdom” with the world, whether it be in content or via just talking. i’m a lil traumatized from the past when it comes to content creation, though, so i mostly just record voice memos for myself & write a bunch of notes. you aren’t alone in this; and knowing there’s more people who really couldn’t know less about what’s going on is pretty good for coping for all of us loo
I'm happy to hear that someone relates. It can be hard sometimes to make videos like these because talking about my thoughts and struggles is something I enjoy doing, but It seems like most videos are supposed to have some neat little conclusion, and I feel the pressure to provide that. Meanwhile, the things I worry/contemplate about aren't concluded in my actual life.
I have no idea what i'm doing to. I'm in high school and in a few months i will have to choose in which direction i'm going to(i'm not from the us, its complicated to explain but its an important choice). And i also have no idea in what i should get a degree on, that's what i was researching about and found you(from your vid about CS)... i have ambitions but i'm lazy and i waste my time(sometime with and without even knowing). I just feel a sour taste of sadness all day fuck1ng long. I have dandruff from stress. Its hard. The only things that really calm me are 1. Music. and 2. videos like this. I have lots of "philosophical" videos on my feed. I remember some guy that played minecraft and talked about stuff. He's your age. A little older maybe. Man. i feel like a b1tch. whining instead of doing something useful. Either way. Thank you for making these vids. You managed to calm a random guy on the internet. Every day i say that. Tomorrow i'm actually going to do something. I rarely deliver. But i will make sure tomorrow. 1/12/2025. I will actually do something. P.S. idk if you care(u probably don't) but i'm gonna give an update for tomorrow if i do something.
I do care, so keep me updated, man. I'm one who also finds it hard to find much motivation, but with the effort it comes. I've been told that motivation won't appear before you, but instead needs to be made. Humans are creatures of habit, and once you're ten minutes into starting something, you'll naturally want to get it done. The hard part is the beginning, but you seem pretty dedicated to starting this change. Don't be too hard on yourself, and best of luck, man.
@@ForwardFacingManny Update: Yeah i was overreacting a lil bit. It was yk a 3AM/doomer moment and yeah. I learned a bit of html(the basics). And yeah im working on a game on godot. and holy sh1t i know nothing about programing lmao. yeah the progress is gonna be slow. anyway the only complain i have is that 1. i dont workout as much as i used to. and 2. i have a lot of books i want to read. but yeah. im a slow reader(or just adhd or just restart3d idk). But yeah i still have no idea in what i should major in.
im pretty sure everyone else is winging this lol, my brain is not braining right now so i'll just keep it at that. nice vid i like the stick figure, but cam is good too...maybe you can alternate between them or something yea
