@@user-vb1hf2sb4t She posted on her instagram story that she was applying to residency programs, and she wanted to be judged based on her interviews with them and her scores and not what they see online, which is understandable. So she had deactivated her IG and made her vlogs private (for now). And her IG is back up for now :-)

I was watching someone else talk about their step 2 score and they said "anything above 260 is like, you're a genius" and I immediately thought of America!! I mean, we always knew she'd be a good doctor but even the other med students know it!

I love how your videos can apply to any career. I am not studying medicine, but after many years of feeling like a failure because I gave up on studying and started a boring career, I have decided to find something I am passionate about and pursue it. So here I am, about to begin a course to learn how to program with Python, in the hope to eventually land a job as a computer programmer. Every time I'll feel like I can't study Python because I am too tired from work (I will keep working at my current job for the time being, and studying in the evening), I will think of you and the feeling of satisfaction that comes with studying hard. Thank you so much, America! You truly are an inspiration!

what a great story and beautiful ending . I paused the video where you started talking about where you were at the middle of the exam and you had 5 seconds for the section block to close and answered three questions by guessing. I actually felt my hands sweating bc I was thinking shit this girl got a really high score on her NBME etc and she felt that bad, mid exam ??? Wow, I felt bad for you and for me bc I'm actually studying for my step 2 ck and well you know what I mean , but then you revealed your score and I was like , God is beautiful!

America, your videos encourage me when I feel down during nursing school. My dream was to always go to medical school and bc life happened, I am gratefully in nursing school but sometimes do wish that I had made better choices when I was younger and focused and finished pre-med. You're so raw, genuine, and vulnerable with your scores that it gives me hope to pursue that maybe in the future. When I watch vids of med students who always score high scores, I don't feel like I can do it. But when I watch your videos and see that you went from failing practice exams to reaching the score you need to get into a general surgery residency, it gives me hope that I can possibly do that too, regardless of my age and untraditional background. I'm also goofy and bubbly as yourself, so I know how it feels like not having the support from the gunners and smart peers all around. I've watched your vids from when you got in and told your family about it.. and I think God has used your channel to give me hope. I'm def learning how to study better in nursing school, and for motivation, I always find myself on this channel bc you're very personable and real. Your life story makes me feel like going from where I am to what I've always wanted to do is one decision away, so ty so much for posting the topics you debated on not posting. Your mom is so right. Hey America, I just took my Step 2 CK exam with similar practice scores and absolutely felt like I failed the actual exam, and have been ruminating over and over all the stupid mistakes I made and the guessing I had to do. This video is helping me get through ths last week until I get my score report. Thank you for putting yourself up here despite the vulnerability of it all, your video is seriously helping me calm down. I appreciate it a lot.
