me too! soo proud of you america!! I'm going through dental school right now and it's definitely an up hill battle for me as school was never something that came easy to me. I work soo soo hard everyday and study my butt off, sometimes I feel like giving up and sometimes it feels like theres no motivation. But I watch your videos and it powers me up again, and so for that, thank you :)
I don't know why but I cried at the end of the video. I guess I'm just really really proud of America for making it this far and finding her purpose. I'm excited to see how you will grow as a surgeon.
You probably hear this a lot... but I’m exactly like you in regards to surgery. I just started 3rd year and ever since 1st/2nd year I’ve suspected I’m gonna fall in love w surgery. I love anatomy. I’ve tried so hard to not (for the exact reasons you listed!!) I did a plastic surgery rotation for a month and I absolutely loved it. I’m terrified I won’t be able to match. My step 1 score isn’t great because I didn’t know how to prepare. I haven’t taken any NBMEs yet, but I’m not great at standardized testing. Never have been. I really really really would love to have that book before the main rotations start. I need a miracle step 2 score to match. I’m Latina and am the first in my family to go to college :) no other doctors (let alone surgeons!!) in my family. You totally know how tight money is as a med student - especially a DACA student. Thanks for your amazing channel. You might not remember, but I DMed you on IG when I was having a panic attack during step 1 prep and you cheered me on. It was absolutely what I needed and I can’t thank you enough!! :) keep up the amazing work and best of luck. I know you’ll match at a great place!!
I also remember trying not to like my surgery rotation, but nothing beats the feeling of being in the OR. Happy to see you choosing this career path, you'll be a great fit among surgeons!
Finished watching and I am so excited for you! Wishing you the very best on getting into this residency, you deserve it ❤️ thank you for being an inspiration for me and many students! 🥰
good thing i was already on youtube, tehehe edit: i screamed “i knew it” when you said surgery was your top choice. i’m so happy for you and so excited
I'm premed and I was researching the acceptance rate of the med schools near me... they had an acceptance rate of 4%. I honestly almost gave up and felt like quitting. Your explanation of why you chose this path resonated with me and reminded me that this won't be easy but it's worth it. I just wanted to let you know that you made a difference in my decision to keep going. Thank you.
Brenda Hernandez Statistics like don’t give you the whole picture and shouldn’t worry you very much. I’m starting dental school in the Fall and the admission rates are identical for dental schools but there’s just a lot less schools to choose from than medical schools lol. The rates are so low for a lot of reasons: like a ton of unqualified applicants who apply with no real chance of getting in (ie. people who have barely any medical experience and who barely studied for the MCAT), people who apply without putting a lot of effort into their application, and the list goes on. If you just do the basic stuff to be competitive, you’re at a big advantage compared to a large amount of applicants.
I think every premed can relate to this! Even me, sometimes I lose motivation because where I live the acceptance rates are exceptionally low but I remember that I truly I can not see myself being happy doing anything else and I get back on track
Apply broadly if you feel unsure. Turn in secondaries promptly. Know yourself v well in your interviews (I know this sounds so stupid, but just be who you are. People can sniff out the bs), know your application well during your interviews. You’ll do great❤️ (key tip, there’s a sdn webpage where people rate their interview experience annnnd...they share questions they were asked. Before every interview I had, I read through all those question (literally on the plane ride before...don’t freak if you don’t read it days ahead) and I was never surprised by a question. Good luck👊🏼👊🏼✨
Not entering the giveaway because I’m not studying medicine. I just love you and your videos lol. Good luck to everyone participating! And also good luck in studies. 💛💛💛
Hey America! I'm not sure that you'll see this, but I'm a high school student from Texas (like you) who's about to become a senior, and I've been watching you ever since your MCAT tips video. I'm obviously not quite there yet, but I really want to thank you for making videos. Your insight on medical school and specialties have pushed me to further my aspiration to become a cardiothoracic surgeon! That might change of course, but I really love surgery. Thank you for showing us the good times, the bad times, and everything in between. I know you'll absolutely rock your surgical residency!
this is the first video of yours that I‘ve seen and I must say I really loved it. I only applied to med school BECAUSE of surgery and during my surgery rotation I fell even more in love with it. I believe in you, you‘re going to be a great surgeon 👍🏽
I think also that surgery is one of the best fild in medicine, and I just started med school this year, and I can't wait to see more procedures and to learn more and more from the most beautiful thing in the world: humans. Also thank you for your videos, it's so motivating and whenever I feel like med school is to hard or that I'm not enough you give me the strength to continue and to give 200% of myself 💗
your journey is so captivating! so happy for you to finally get to choose your residency. I use your videos as guidance and a tool for my own journey. I am the first in my family to go to college, let alone want to be a doctor so even if I don't win the books just know that your videos really do inspire me! thank you America!!
I can really feel the passion behind your words in this video when you talked about your surgical rotation. I think the world needs a surgeon like you. Wish you the best and hope you continue to document your journey. Ill always be cheering you on on the other side of the screen!
America, I am so excited to see where you go! You're an amazing example not just for medical students, but for women. It's awesome that you are charging head first into a male dominated area of medicine and I know you're going to inspire so many other people. As far as the meded book, it would be awesome to have. I'm still in undergrad but I know I'm going to need resources like that to help me succeed. Thank you for your time
Congrats on making your selection. My family loves your videos. We don’t know each other but I am so proud of you. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 I hope you keep making videos. We love you and Dr.Webb
I should receive the book because I start third year in a month, I have been watching you since before I started medschool and your videos have served as guide for me and to know what to expect in the future. Not only that it feels great to see someone going through the same struggles, you have taught me positivity and this has made a difference in my medschool career!
u can tell how much you love the surgery residency just by listening to the way you talk about it, im really proud of you!! good luck! ik you'll succeed in being the amazing surgeon u aspire to be!!
America, I love watching your videos. I began watching them when I first was accepted into med school and you've had a way of grounding me during my very hectic first year. Thank you for putting in the time for us because I too am the first of my family to pursue medicine and I'm always grateful for all the information you provide us. I will be starting my second year of an 18 month curriculum and that OME book would be a huge help as I prepare for my rotations this academic year. When it comes to an accelerated curriculum, picking the right resources is very important and thank you for bringing to light one as helpful as OnlineMedEd!
First off congratulations on your decision for your residency. I have changed my mind several times but have ultimately always ran back to dermatology . So I totally understand the relief of finally admitting your love for a specialty I also wanted to thank you because your channel has been so helpful with information regarding being a premed student ; but knowing there are other women who feel exactly like me. Social anxiety, dating and even getting along with colleagues can take a toll on my expierence. The books would be such a huge help financially. As you know it’s difficult working and attending school and books can be such a burden! But again thanks again for being so sweet and helpful
as someone who's almost 15 and wanting to be a doctor/surgeon, this almost made me cry. i've really doubted myself and have been anxious over the fact that i want to go into medicine for the past year. i still have 4 years left until college, but i'm really, really inlove with medicine. seeing you so happy and seeing how much you love surgery, you gave me hope. and now i'm sure i'll get into med school and become a surgeon one day. i'm so proud of you and thank you so so so much for making me realize it's something i live for. ♡
Ralph Tyrell general surgeons already do breast cancer surgery without plastic fellowships. So going into breast would be more familiar to a Gen surg trained doctor than going into hand surgery (assuming plastics fellowship was desired)
America you are my biggest inspiration! Ever since being a little girl, I've wanted to be in medicine and surgery. The human body is the most amazing machine created and I love helping people feel better and saving their lives! I too an the first in the family to go into medicine and to have a degree!! My parents moved here from Eastern Europe with no english and no money so I can pursue my dreams and live a better life. I need this book to help me through school and rotations, so I too can become a surgeon and give back to my parents. They've done everything for me, so I want to make them proud!! Love you and your vids!!!
America, you’ll be a great surgeon I believe in you. I’m finishing high school when you’re finishing med school. And I really think that medicine is for me. All of your videos make me excited to go into medicine
America!!! Thank you for making this video! I just started 3rd year and would find online meded so helpful to kickstarting my 3rd year. I’m so excited you are so sure about your choice and direction for the future. You will be a great surgeon!
Wow! Congratulations! I'm heading into medical school next year with the intention of becoming a medical or surgical oncologist, here in NZ we have 6 years of medical school (bachelor of medicine and bachelor of surgery) and two years of residency with all the rotations and THEN we go into our specialty residencies. Honestly I would love to win the guide as I leave for medical school in 5 months!! Crazy! My nana bought me they grays anatomy book by Henry Gray which I've been reading which is so exciting. Watching your videos helped me realise that medicine is for me. Congratulations again and I cant wait to watch your journey through your surgical residency.
Ive been here consistently since her second year and to watch her grow and now choose a residency...the one I was rooting for....that's insane, IM SO PROUD OF YOU AMERICA!!!!
Starting med school soon (AHHH) and I heard AMAZING things about online med ed and saw you using them from previous vlogs! PS - already knew you wanted surgery, but I kept watching just in case you threw a curveball and said you wanted internal med. Hoping to match into Emerg!! Best of luck!!
Girl you got me tearing up here!!! You have a heart of gold and you seem the type who always lets your heart lead the way. You are just meant to be a doctor as you care so much. May God make you successful in everything you set out to do
Wow! I’m speechless ! Way to go girl !!!! I’d pick surgery as well if I don’t have 4 children, but way to go so, so proud of you !!!! God bless you on this journey!
America, this decision gives me even more hope. I just completed my 1st year of Pre-med...not even half way there yet... but I use to lack the confidence of one day becoming a physician/surgeon. I live and dream of the day I become a cardio thoracic surgeon🙈 The taunting thing is no one in my family has obtained a college degree...it doesn’t make them ignorant... my dad is literally a philosopher(he’s very knowledgeable of everything & anything around the world). I have sooo much passion for this career and that is my drive/motive and that is something I feel we have in common (obviously, your parents have been through college but you chose a different route). Just wanted to thank you! 💕
I'm about to start my third year soon and having the resources to excel would be so encouraging. It would give me the opportunity to excel in my rotations like you have, so that I can have the option to pursue the specialty that I fall in love with. I'm the first one in my family to attend medical school and watching you go through the journey and be so honest about the ups and downs has made me feel like I'm not alone. Thank you so much for sharing your journey with all of us America.
America is literally the greatest person I’ve ever seen❤️❤️❤️ Whenever I feel myself slowing down I’ll watch one of her video and instantly be the best I can be again thank you sooo much🥰🥰
This video has honestly been one of my favorites, America!! So informational, yet so relatable. You're going to make an incredible surgeon. I am entering med school in the next class, and I am nervous, but SO thrilled. A resource like the new onlineMedEd book would be such a valuable tool to aid me as I soak up as much as I can these next few years. Like you, I am entering thinking I want to go into OBGYN, but I was encouraged by your video to hear that once I study organ systems and go on rotations, my mind could completely change.
I'm so happy to see your drive for surgery; it is ambitious, but more importantly, you love it and have a passion for it. What each of us looks for in the medical specialities is unique to our experiences and our personalities, but at the end of the day, our sole aim is to help save people. So, let us help in the way we can help best, the way our hearts are set in. I've just started my 3rd year classes this week, and I am really excited about the ward placements (what they call rotations here) although I have the more exciting ones towards the end of the year. Your enthusiasm and passion are very inspiring. Thank you for sharing them with us. X
I knew it was going to be surgery ☺️ so glad you found your passion- you’re going to do such an amazing job 💕 can’t wait to watch your journey in surgery!
I’m studying for step 1 right now and I always put your videos on when I need a pick me up or for inspiration! Thank you for doing what you do, you will make a great surgeon!
Congratulations on choosing a specialty!! As a rising second year medical student, I would make great use of the Online Med Ed white board book!! At my school, we have a curriculum in which we receive minimal lectures and I rely on a lot of outside resources to learn the content I need. I enjoy the material that Online Med Ed has and I use it during the school year. As a visual learner, I learn best from videos, drawings, and pictures.
You are probably the only channel I catch myself binge watching at 2 am. I need this book because the curriculum continues to inspire me and I yearn so much to be able to learn more.
Hi America! I am beginning my third year of medical school also in Texas and this past week has been our orientation! I am so thankful to have been able to watch your videos and get a glance into what lies ahead for me in this coming year, all the challenges but exciting experiences that I have been dreaming about all my life. I would love the opportunity to get this book because it would be a resource I know that I will use and would aid me in starting this year off to a great start! Thank you for sharing all your insight and for taking the time to be honest and straightforward about these experiences. Many of us who do not have doctors in the family, like myself, are experiencing the journey through medicine for the first time, and it great knowing there are people like you who are doing the same and being successful as they navigate through it all! It is truly inspiring! Thank you and hope Fourth year is amazing!
I have watched you since before I started medical school and you have continued to be one of my favorite medical youtubers for one reason: you are unapologetically yourself. I am so proud of you for following your gut and pursuing your dreams, especially in a male-dominated field. You have grown so much and although I don't know you I am incredibly proud of you. You inspired me to feel confident enough to apply and get accepted to med school as you outline that you cannot have success without failure. I am now happy to say I have just completed my first year of medical school and I can't wait to see what will come in the future for me and for you. Congrats America, I am wishing you all the best in this crazy journey we call medical school.
I finally decide to be a doctor in the future because of watching you and seeing that your determination never fades. I hope I get you as my doctor someday. Keep up the a hard work America !
I knew your first two options would be between psychiatry and surgery! Your life is going to be so busy and totally dedicated to your patients and medicine, but what the heart wants is what the heart gets. You will be a surgeon! I want to become an OB/GYN, but who knows, I may also change my mind! Good luck America. I am so proud. Thanks for the inspiration.
I have just began my third year of med school and I’m in my surgery rotation. Having the onlinemeded book would be a tremendous help in preparing for the shelf! Btw so proud of you America! Your videos really helped me get through Second year and STEP :)
I have loved watching your journey all these years. I feel like you are very suited for surgery. You seem to be a more hands on individual with a whole lot of compassion and motivation. I am so excited for your last year of med school and I hope you continue to vlog in your residency as well. I am so proud of you, America!
Hi America, if possible, I would really love to get the OnlineMedEd book. I am an incoming medical student this Fall. I am absolutely clueless and felt really unprepared. I really want to do well in Steps and my clinical rotation. Getting the book along with your notes in it would be a huge help. Thank you!!
Hey America, I found your channel about a month ago and immediately binge watched all your videos. I have zero interest to go in the medical field myself, but was totally impressed by you. I especially like how honest and real you are, also showing us moments when you might feel insecure and not only moments when you are happy. I think thats a great strength of you, because you are able to turn a "weakness" (like lacking some self-cinfidence at times) into a strength (admit, show and talk about your insecurities in public/internet to thousands of people that you dont even know). I think that takes a ton of strength and it is very encouraging to me and I think to many of your subscribers, because it shows us, that you dont have to be perfect to reach your goals, that its fine to have some doubts sometimes, as long as you dont give up on your dreams and keep following them no matter what For me your channel is very inspiring. I am working in the financial field and have a masters degree in it, however I realised that my dream is actually to become a lawyer. Thats something that just fits my personally and my strengths better and its something I realised I always wanted to do, but didnt think I was good enough to do. In the last year, I realised that the only thing thats holding me back to pursue my dream, are my doubts and so ultimately myself. I am now starting law school (or the equivalent of law school in my country) in october this year at the age of 29. I know its going to be hard, but watching passionate people like you, working incredbly hard, gives me so much hope and confidence! Stay the way you are! You are going to be an amazing surgeon! I wish you all the best, you deserve it. greetings from Germany PS: love Calyx too ;)
I’ve wanted to study medicine since I was about 15 (I’m 21 now and applying to med schools yay) and for the last two years of undergrad, watching you go through this journey, putting in the hard work, and getting incredible results from the effort has inspired me to not give up and push through during the overwhelming times when exams are piling up, the studying never ends, and I feel incapable of achieving my dreams. This book would be a constant inspiration every time I use it (which would be constantly I’m sure😂) and remind me that all of this is worth it. You have shown me its not impossible to get through med school and I can’t wait to see what you accomplish in your future career!! (Ps- surgery has always been top of my list and I’m SOO excited you picked it)
I can't believe how far you've come, I've been watching your videos for a while now and you're genuinely such an amazing person with so much passion for medicine. You're going to be an amazing surgeon. You're a huge inspiration to me. I'm still in my first year but I've wanted to be a surgeon for as long as I can remember and I can't wait.
Subscribed ✔ Followed ✔ I am in 3rd Year medical student. I didn't knew about this book. As for why I should get is because I need it. Hope to win the giveaway.
Hi America! I’ve been following your channel since I started medical school! I am a brand new third year and my first rotation is surgery! It’s a huge learning curve like you said but it’s day 4 of the rotation and I’m loving it already! This give away would help me so much getting my feet on the ground for my first rotation which is so intimidating I’m sure you remember! Thank you for all your posts and the videos you make on top of being a student! I used your study method for step and look for advice from you all the time!!
I have a very similar passion for surgery! When I was about 12 years old I found out what neurology was and have loved it as well! My goal is to be a neurosurgeon one day. I know it will be a long, grueling road but I am ready to make it happen. I am a first generation college student and like you said, have nobody in my family who has pursued or achieved a career in the medical field. I would use the Online Med Ed book to help me with this goal and prepare me for this long and fulfilling career. So proud of you America, you deserve all the great things coming your way for all the work you’ve put in over the years. You are truly inspiring!
Hey America! Can I just say, I am so incredibly proud of you for making this huge step!! I’m 15 right now and for the past two years I have been set on dedicating my life to medicine. Ive loved science since I started school and am really into biochem right now. My mom is an RN so like you, I was exposed to the medical field at an early age. Part of this exposure was due to my little brother’s passing. My most memorable childhood birthday present was a shiny blue microscope which i dragged around with me everywhere i could to collect “samples” (mostly leaves and bugs) and then see what they look like zoomed in. On my 13th birthday my mom handed me a copy of Anatomy and Physiology by Seeley, Stephens and Tate. At one point, it belonged to a doctor friend of hers, who after hearing about my interest in the field, decided to pass it on to me. I can’t begin to describe how happy I felt knowing that together with my family, I also had a real life doctor behind my back. Since then, i’ve taken all the notes I could from that textbook and eventually moved on to lectures and watching procedures here on UA-cam. I found your channel in my recommended and have been subscribed to you since that day. Your content is amazing and I really appreciate how genuine it is. You don’t just post aesthetically pleasing thumbnails and fake smiles, you show your viewers the reality of what it is to be a student. Your videos have inspired me to be in the volunteering program at a local hospital and I am so thankful for that since i’ve come to love it with my whole heart. This October my mom agreed to take me along on a medical mission trip to the Dominican Republic and I really think that book could come in handy there. Thank you so much for all you do America, lots of love from Minnesota
America, I’ve been watching your channel since day 1. I started watching you as a high schooler and now I am a college graduate, wild. You motivate me to pursue medicine and to not give up, thank you for that!
Ahh!!! SO EXCITED FOR YOU. I can see how much passion you have for surgery already, you will go far and change so many lives. So happy to see where this new journey takes you! Nothing but love, from Cali. ❤️
good luck and God bless you on your next journey in medicine 😊 i'm an upcoming second year in med school and if ever i win this giveaway, this is going to be helpful in my journey in medschool ❤ ~ ig: @mediatrixduran
America, I found you a year ago when I was about to start my first year of medical school. You have inspired me so much in this last year. I was seeking advice as an incoming first year, and your UA-cam channel gave me everything I needed to 1. not be scared of starting medical school, 2. stay true to myself during this long journey, and 3. know that I can do it! I immediately became one of your dedicated followers and love watching your new videos! I have even begun vlogging my experiences as a med student in hopes of inspiring other future healthcare professionals some day. I have you to thank for keeping me motivated and not doubting myself when I felt inadequate during 1st year. As for the giveaway, you know how broke us med students are. We have to stick together. Although I do not start rotations until next year, I would love to receive the Online MedEd whiteboard pages because it gave you so much success. (I surely followed your advice on buying a SketchyMedical subscription which has helped me tremendously). I’d also love to continue the trend and give away one at the end of my 3rd year to someone who needs it! I can’t wait to watch you crush your 4th year and beyond. Until then, thank you for everything. Best Wishes, Maybree (MSII)
I like how your reason for being a surgeon has literally nothing to do with people lmao 😂 your reasons were that you wanted to be a boss, because it was scary and you loved science - not exactly a humanitarian 😂😂 no shade though ✌️
i just wanted to say i just watched your video about your residency decision and i feel such a sense of pride and happiness for you. i’ve been watching your channel since its start and seeing you reach this point is just incredible. our feelings about medicine are so similar and being able to progress in my own way alongside you has been great. i really admire you and i’m so proud of your accomplishments so far, you’re amazing and you will so great things.
CONGRATULATIONS TO JENNIFER FOR WINNING THE GIVEAWAY!!! WE WISH HER THE BEST OF LUCK

America, hearing you speak like this....you've matured so much! I can only imagine how you'll be when you're done with residency!
Ive been watching you since your first year of med school and you’ve grown so much in your confidence!!
accomplishments make you more confident.
ME TOO!!!! She inspires me so much 🤗
that is so true :)
I don't know why but I cried at the end of the video. I guess I'm just really really proud of America for making it this far and finding her purpose. I'm excited to see how you will grow as a surgeon.
I’m a surgical tech. I’m so happy you chose surgery. I love being in surgery.
You are literally Captain America to me... a hero! I look forward to following your footsteps! Good luck and just know that you really inspire us! 🤪
That’s awesome.
Dr. Revere, MD (General Surgeon)
Just like anything else, I think you’re gonna be great! Keep up the extraordinary work, girl.
You probably hear this a lot... but I’m exactly like you in regards to surgery. I just started 3rd year and ever since 1st/2nd year I’ve suspected I’m gonna fall in love w surgery. I love anatomy. It was absolutely what I needed and I can’t thank you enough!! :) keep up the amazing work and best of luck. I know you’ll match at a great place!!
goodluck!! with your passion I'm sure you can get into surgery residency
@@ConcertSisters hey just a heads up, if you love anatomy and procedures, IR and radiology in general is a great, growing field to look into :)

Congratulations! ☺️
Same here....
Same here I start in september!
I start college in August
I also remember trying not to like my surgery rotation, but nothing beats the feeling of being in the OR. Happy to see you choosing this career path, you'll be a great fit among surgeons!
I’m so exited I never clicked so fast lol you look beautiful, America!
Finished watching and I am so excited for you! Wishing you the very best on getting into this residency, you deserve it ❤️ thank you for being an inspiration for me and many students! 🥰
i was honestly tearing up when you were explaining why you love surgery- i'm so happy for you that you decided on the residency that you loved!
good thing i was already on youtube, tehehe
edit: i screamed “i knew it” when you said surgery was your top choice. i’m so happy for you and so excited
I HAVE BEEN SAYING SURGERY SINCE FOREVER YES SO HAPPY FOR YOU

You're so smart, America! Congrats in finishing your 3rd year in med school. God bless you more in your future, doc! 😊💖
Your dedication is so motivating! I love to watch your videos on my study breaks lol! Good luck! I know you’ll get into the surgery residency!
I would recommend plastic surgery! I did this during my rotations, and it is such a great specialization! Great people, and amazing surgery! 👍
How to Medicate that sounds nice!!! Don't listen to the fool who commented before me

I agree, but it's a long road. You've got to make sure it's something you truly want, else you'll burn out quick. Surgery residency is hell.
My friend showed me your channel, and I'm so happy you finish your third year!
your journey is so captivating! so happy for you to finally get to choose your residency. I use your videos as guidance and a tool for my own journey. I am the first in my family to go to college, let alone want to be a doctor so even if I don't win the books just know that your videos really do inspire me! thank you America!!
The sparkle in her eyes while she’s talking about surgery! 🤩 wow you’re my inspiration America 💫
I knew it good luck ✊✊✊ our future surgeon I hope you will get what you want
u can tell how much you love the surgery residency just by listening to the way you talk about it, im really proud of you!! good luck! ik you'll succeed in being the amazing surgeon u aspire to be!!
I knew it!!! I could tell you were going to be a surgeon! ❤️ so proud
So I totally understand the relief of finally admitting your love for a specialty
I also wanted to thank you because your channel has been so helpful with information regarding being a premed student ; but knowing there are other women who feel exactly like me.
I predict you want to be a plastic surgeon I haven't watched it yet but I've watched your other rotation vids and it makes me think that way.
Yea general surgery is better given her step score and then she can pursue plastics (especially breast stuff) post gen surg training
@@ProfessorSerperior random question but why "especially breast stuff" lol???
So happy for you! I knew you’d be a surgeon :) so proud!
America, you’ll be a great surgeon I believe in you. I’m finishing high school when you’re finishing med school. And I really think that medicine is for me. All of your videos make me excited to go into medicine
Yay America!!! I'm so proud of you. You've grown so much and I can't wait to watch you become a great surgeon
On the road to becoming a physician, so excited to be in your shoes one day!
“I’m only gonna apologize for my opinion once...” I loveeee it! Keep inspiring sis!
Harvey Torres im starting in august too!! super scared but america honestly makes it look like a dream:)
Girl you got me tearing up here!!! You have a heart of gold and you seem the type who always lets your heart lead the way. You are just meant to be a doctor as you care so much. May God make you successful in everything you set out to do
Omggggggggggg America you should know you have a lot of positive motivation towards everyone . ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Wow! I’m speechless ! Way to go girl !!!! I’d pick surgery as well if I don’t have 4 children, but way to go so, so proud of you !!!! God bless you on this journey!
Im so beyond excited and happy for you!! You’re going to be an incredible surgeon
This is amazing! Love your energy, wish you the best 💚
America is literally the greatest person I’ve ever seen❤️❤️❤️ Whenever I feel myself slowing down I’ll watch one of her video and instantly be the best I can be again thank you sooo much🥰🥰
So happy and excited for you, America! I, along with the rest of your subscribers, have unconditional faith that you will get through this residency!
Congrats on finishing 3rd year! Starting at a Paramedic program in september, one of my textbooks is $500, it’s a tough time 😂
This video has honestly been one of my favorites, America!!
Yayyyyy i'm so happy for you!!! Surgery is going to be soo good yes i'm so happy i'm crying i love you so much!!!!
I knew it was going to be surgery ☺️ so glad you found your passion- you’re going to do such an amazing job 💕
can’t wait to watch your journey in surgery!
I afraid of needles.
I’m studying for step 1 right now and I always put your videos on when I need a pick me up or for inspiration! Thank you for doing what you do, you will make a great surgeon!
Hey!! Just started my rotations and would LOVE to have this book to guide my learning.
So happy for you!
Always inspired by you, America!!
You are probably the only channel I catch myself binge watching at 2 am. I need this book because the curriculum continues to inspire me and I yearn so much to be able to learn more.
yeah, wbk you were gonna go into surgery lol.
i'd love the online meded book so i can have a chance at surgery too
I'm predicting a cardiovascular surgeon
I’m starting third year on Monday (on Surgery) and would love to have Online Med Ed in my toolbox :)
I finally decide to be a doctor in the future because of watching you and seeing that your determination never fades. I hope I get you as my doctor someday. Keep up the a hard work America !
América!!! You are the best 💕❤️ keep doing what you do!!
So happy you ended up going with surgery!!! It's what you've wanted from the start, and now you are one step closer to your goal and your future!
Yes! Love you. 💗p.s. I will be the first doc in my family Too! (next year 😍) so I understand you... 🤗
Hello America, I need this book because I cannot afford it 😢
👨⚕️
😊
✌🔥
Help him win pls
Thumbs up!!! You gotta win!
I have just began my third year of med school and I’m in my surgery rotation. Having the onlinemeded book would be a tremendous help in preparing for the shelf! Btw so proud of you America! Your videos really helped me get through Second year and STEP :)
You should do a video with your dad! It’s amazing that doctors run in your family!
Thank you!!
Hey America,
I found your channel about a month ago and immediately binge watched all your videos.
I think that takes a ton of strength and it is very encouraging to me and I think to many of your subscribers, because it shows us, that you dont have to be perfect to reach your goals, that its fine to have some doubts sometimes, as long as you dont give up on your dreams and keep following them no matter what
For me your channel is very inspiring.
I wish you all the best, you deserve it. greetings from Germany
PS: love Calyx too ;)
When you’re so early the highest quality is 360 🤣
I’ve wanted to study medicine since I was about 15 (I’m 21 now and applying to med schools yay) and for the last two years of undergrad, watching you go through this journey, putting in the hard work, and getting incredible results from the effort has inspired me to not give up and push through during the overwhelming times when exams are piling up, the studying never ends, and I feel incapable of achieving my dreams. This book would be a constant inspiration every time I use it (which would be constantly I’m sure😂) and remind me that all of this is worth it. You have shown me its not impossible to get through med school and I can’t wait to see what you accomplish in your future career!! (Ps- surgery has always been top of my list and I’m SOO excited you picked it)
I feel like violinMD is going to choose internal medicine... anyone else watch Shiobhan?
Rachel Peckford I think she’s already an internal medicine resident
@@rrebinsky she just got into her 3rd year so I don't think she's chosen her residency yet

I am in 3rd Year medical student.
I need this book because I have been looking for a great study book like this but I can’t afford one. (P.s. love your videos 💚)
Im gonna do my exam in 2 months for ma residency 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮.
Im nervous 😒😒😒
Thank you so much for all you do America, lots of love from Minnesota
watching this instead of getting ready for my 3rd year nursing placements lmao
America, I’ve been watching your channel since day 1. I started watching you as a high schooler and now I am a college graduate, wild. You motivate me to pursue medicine and to not give up, thank you for that!
First to view, like and comment 😍
Ahh!!! SO EXCITED FOR YOU. I can see how much passion you have for surgery already, you will go far and change so many lives. So happy to see where this new journey takes you! Nothing but love, from Cali. ❤️
good luck and God bless you on your next journey in medicine 😊
i'm an upcoming second year in med school and if ever i win this giveaway, this is going to be helpful in my journey in medschool ❤

America,
I found you a year ago when I was about to start my first year of medical school.
Best Wishes,
Maybree (MSII)
I like how your reason for being a surgeon has literally nothing to do with people lmao 😂 your reasons were that you wanted to be a boss, because it was scary and you loved science - not exactly a humanitarian 😂😂 no shade though ✌️
Jaden Bedwell [time stamp] 1:15 - 1:30 “it scared me the most” + “it’s the one where I get to be in charge” :)
i just wanted to say i just watched your video about your residency decision and i feel such a sense of pride and happiness for you. i’ve been watching your channel since its start and seeing you reach this point is just incredible. our feelings about medicine are so similar and being able to progress in my own way alongside you has been great. i really admire you and i’m so proud of your accomplishments so far, you’re amazing and you will so great things.
