Hi there , i might have been a bit late for the reply . But you know what i was thinking the same , i don't know why but i heard it like 15 times by far . It really rings in my mind repeatedly . By the way , how are you ! May you be safe in the middle of this pandemic .
A very late reply, but seconding the idea of pride, particularly pride to a point of fault (hubris). For me also, it's such a human failure too. Because it's Ramases doubling down and refusing to change his mind. Personally, I grew up religious and that's what I watched this in context of originally (ie the Pharoah is the "bad guy") so I think that also makes me think of it as a tragedy from Ramases' point of view. Because you're watching his brother who he cared about and now believed hates him call into question everything he's stood for and is, and inevitably you know it's all going to come down. His people are suffering presently and he declares that's not enough to change. And the story ends with Moses "winning," his people are ultimately free, and Ramases is left alone, without his brother and without his son (which I think this film does a good job of showing that he actually cares for his son past just being a bloodline).
I'm a Christian but I didn't come here to argue or start a debate with anyone. I'm here to listen to one of the greatest sounding songs of my childhood and appreciate the absolutely GORGEOUS animation. I mean LOOK that all of this! This was the movie that got me into the animation industry and art period, it still holds up as one of the most phenomenally hand-animated films of all time, seriously underrated
+dominic garcia I am not a Christian, but this is still one of my favorite childhood movies. The animation, story and music are all just too good, and I'd love to see what this studio could do with other Bible stories.
+Jailyn Elcock As a former Christian, this has always been my favorite movie. It may not be biblically/historically accurate, but they did an amazing job with it. I know they made another about Jacob and his story, but are those the only 2 they did? As an atheist, I don't believe any of this ever happened, but I love mythologies, so I'm kind of glad that the bible was written.
Slygon because fuck tards these days will think it brings on religious views, and sure it might, but now we have many other religions that will get a sore ass about seeing it on tv.
The line " And even now I wish that God had chose another. Serving as your foe in His behalf was the lasting that I wanted" always get me. You can feel the pain in that line because he truly didn't want to do this to his brother but because of his faith he has to do it.
***** but god made us in his image correct? shouldn't we be free of faults as well? or is God faulty? nothing is free of fault. and we can criticize whatever we wish.
***** and yet, his moral compass is all wrong, feelings of jealousy, no remorse for the dead. and basically no forgiveness. sounds almost like the human race doesn't it? perhaps "god" isn't as incomprehensible as you thought. yes, we may not be equal to him. but we share characteristics with him. the bible even goes on to state that there are things that not even god can do. as he created the universe in 6 days. he rested on the 7th. meaning god has a limit to his power. he has feelings of jealousy, he has feelings of anger, god has feelings of love, but even then he has flaws. and the bible states that not even god, can be perfect.
I know this song and the movie are about religion - but as a child I only saw this as two brothers struggle with difference - I had no clue it was about religion until I rediscovered it when I was much older. Even if you don't agree with overall theme of the movie - you have to admit this is one of the greatest pieces ever created :)
I like your comment but this not about religion. They didn't have religion in mosses time. It's either you listen to god and be his people or you didn't and be curse. No religion. No Christians, no Muslim, no Jehovah witness, no Jewish, etc. Only his people of Israel( by the way Israel is English and they were Hebrews).
You got it right from the beginning, unlike many adults in this comment section. Though it features some religious elements, like faith, it's mainly a story about two brothers
I ADORE. this movie. My mum being probably the most Catholic mum let me watch this as a tiny kid and I just watched it over and over again, not mainly because of my faith, but mainly because of how amazing the animation and music is! It still kinda frightens me though, like it did when I was younger.
My mum did too. Also Catholic, this was such a great addition to my childhood. Because she let me watch this I grew up with a fantastic representation of what it must have been in real life, not to mention exposing me to the amazing music movies like this have to offer!
I'm Catholic too! As with you guys, we watched this film an awful lot as children. It scared me slightly then, and still does. I never forget the story, or the lessons it has to teach.
+axel leroy Why do you need to take offense at a word that was neither aimed at you, nor described anything that isn't perfectly natural and even essential for human survival?
"This was my home...all this pain and devastation, how it tortures me inside." This gets me right in the feels, man. You realize how Moses must have been hurting so much seeing his his home of 40 years being destroyed.
3:26 I love the symbolism you see fire raining down and fire is usually associated with rage which is clearly what he feels 3:28 You see 2 terrified children then Moses who clearly is scared himself and doesn't want this These subtle symbols is one of many great things in this movie
This movie was made perfectly. Notice how the statue of Horus the sun God who is like the chief of all the Egyptian gods starts crumbling at the end. I guess it signifies the fall of the Egyptian empire
Just those people though. No one else who was ever "oppressed for years" had seven supernatural disasters unleashes on their ennemies. No this makes sense.
God helped a lot of other people, but you probably don't want to hear anything, since you'll just argue the defense no matter what. I simply stated my opinion, I wish this to go no further. Good day, may your life be filled with love.
+Bird Scott listen ik u probably think all this isn't true because there's no actual proof. and ur right, because(I'm not gonna tell nothing wrong) the bible has been changing for the last 10000000 etc years 😂.but god understands how u feel because us as humans never experienced anything like this moses clip. and the reason for that is sin. Sin is something WE HUMANS ALL HAVE AND WERE BORN WITH IT EVEN U. but rn I'm running out of time if u want to talk to me or call me about this I'll give the number myself
I think the point is that most Christians forget that this story is about the Jews escaping Egypt, which is a problem when Christians keep discriminating against Jews.
This is a very powerful movie, and kind of scarred me as a child. Watching the relationship of the two brothers suddenly turn to a disaster, seeing the fear and pain, the visuals, songs, I just hid wherever I could, still... I watched this movie as many times as I could. I wanted to get used to it. This is life, very painful, not sugarcoated.
I remember having a crush on Moses in this movie when I was young, hahaha (he was good looking). 😊! This is by far my favorite Bible story after the story of "Queen Esther of Susa". They both have deep lessons behind them. I think that the Moses story teaches a leader not to abuse power and my other favorite "Queen of Esther" story is about knowing that family comes first and that people who have bad intentions (like the man Haman who wanted to take away the Kings power wanted to purposely remove, and wanted him to get rid off out of his life his closest people dearest to him to make him weak (one of them would turn out to be the person that he loved which was Esther). Then take his place, but of course Good always wins in the end! A great movie to watch, about Esther's life story that I love is "One Night With The King" I highly recommend it! I think that the Bible teaches us to trust in God and most importantly let's us know that God is always protecting us.🙏💙
*10 Plagues of Egypt* 1. Turning water to blood 2. Frogs 3. Lice or gnats 4. Wild animals or flies 5. Pestilence of livestock 6. Boils 7. Thunderstorm of hail and fire 8. Locusts 9. Darkness for three days 10. Death of firstborn
Love this movie. I would definitely show it to my kids because it helped me understand a very important part of the Bible even better than just reading the story. Wonderful visuals and a great soundtrack, too!
I don't know why people insist on saying their religious views, all you need are ears and a brain to enjoy this. Also eyes actually, the animation is fantastic!
I love how sympathetic they make Rameses. I don’t like his actions, but I understand his motivations because of the expectations put on him by his father and the Egyptian monarchy.
The Lion King is great and all buttt.....this movie would DESTROY broadway 😂😂 one of the few soundtracks that could actually be better then the Lion King. I mean the opening scene and song alone is better then that of the Lion King.
@@Wolfeur I believe it can be enjoyed perfectly without those issues. I, for one, only see it as an all around great movie with a banger of a soundtrack. Don't understand why it should be an issue what it is about.
I'm 17 and I love this film! I wish dreamworlds and disney would go back to this type of animation. They are better than most of the movies out there these days like frozen, home, despicable me, and big hero 6
Come to enjoy an epic animated song- get self proclaimed historians and self righteous Atheists and Theists. Guess I shouldn't look at the comments anymore.
The same logic can be applied to your comment too... I came here to enjoy the music and I see your whining. The senseless bickering and arguments are why the comment section exists and plus it's the internet. What I hate more than stupid opinions and arguments is censorship. I'd rather see your whining and the stupid crap you're whining about than have it all censored, like in some parts of the world.
CaliberStone You speak as if He wanted to do it for no reason or something petty (like a mafia boss). No, He did so because there was no other way to save the Hebrews.
yashamoto Listen to yourself. You're talking about a supposed all-powerful entity. If this God is all-powerful, he could easily make a way for the Pharaoh's mind to change without hurting the Egyptians. Not only this, but he's also changed people's minds before by appearing to them himself, see Saul turned Paul.
CaliberStone A reply like that only shows your ignorance. God gave us free will for a reason. He would not just will it away. Then it wouldn't be free will at all. He changed the Pharaoh's mind in the end, but Ramses freed the Hebrews of his own will. You understand nothing and I will not waste any more time on trying to explain it to you who are already making something up to throw it back in my face. Good day.
yashamoto Argumentum ad hominem, I see. Again, we're talking about someone who supposedly has unlimited power. If this is the case, he could convince Pharaoh without interfering with his free will. He apparently did something similar to this on the Road to Damascus with Saul who later became Paul. And if you don't have a true rebuttal, I agree. You shouldn't respond back.
I just watched this movie again after 15 years, and I can't stop myself from replaying these songs... This movie made the greatest impression on me as a child but even more now... Compare this recent stories like "Cars" and "Planes"... Those are just sh*t
It's funny how DreamWorks can touch the religious side but Disney doesn't have the balls to do it, because of their rep and afraid. DreamWorks is so underrated!
Are you familiar with Disney's "The Hunchback of Notre Dame"? specifically the songs "God Help the Outcasts" and "Hellfire". If watch them you will see Disney is quite familiar with portraying religion.
am I the only one who thought this scene(the plagues) was (and still is) so freaking EPIC everyone seems to say they where scared of that scene as a child. I mean, I remember rewinding just to watch that scene over and over again like 10 times ("deliver us'" and "playing with the big boys now"where my other two favorites) the only scene that really freaked me out was the scene where Moses ran around looking at the hieroglyphs of babies getting eaten by crocodiles
Nope it really is epic and the music and lyrics are amazing too. Yeah the crocodile scene used to scare me but the scene where the Angel of death is passing through Egypt was the scariest to me haha
Lisa Meow I know right, this is my favorite childhood movie, by far. Oooooh I remember that scene, it used to make me sad, that white light was mesmerizing though
+NekoNekoOtaku same! Along with Joseph, King of dreams. Yeah it's is sad, especially when you hear the wailing at the end but it also is kind of beautiful
Actual conversation between me (aged 10) and my RE teacher: Me: Miss, why did God kill all the firstborns of Egypt- why didn't he just bump off the pharoah? Miss: Because then another one would take his place. Me: Then why not just kill that one- I'm sure that after four or five pharoahs had been killed somebody would have freed the hebrews. Miss: *looks away and pretends not to see me waving my hand in the air constantly throughout the lesson as new points come to me.* 😆
Cj Jc Super just. Killing innocent people who had absolutely nothing to do with the Pharaoh's tyranny and were as much victim of it as anyone else. God is so fair. If He was gonna do that, why didn't He just kill the Pharaoh's firstborn?
Greg Candalez Because I guess the people were okay with slavery... ? to make a bigger impact? and by your logic the pharaoh's kid is inncoent as all the rest... he didn't do anything yet... regardless of what he might have done had he been allowed to grow up
Whether you are religious or not, this story on its own holds up, showing the suffering of having to be an enemy of your own family for what you perceive to be a higher goal.
[Moses] Gleaming in the moonlight Cool and clean and all I've ever known All I ever wanted Sweet perfumes of incense Graceful rooms of alabaster stone All I ever wanted This is my home With my father, mother, brother Oh so noble, oh so strong Now I am home Here among my trappings and belongings I belong And if anybody doubts it They couldn't be more wrong I am a sovereign prince of Egypt A son of the proud history that's shown Etched on ev'ry wall Surely this is all I ever wanted All I ever wanted All I ever wanted [Queen] This is your home, my son Here the river brought you And it's here the river meant To be your home Now you know the truth, love Now forget and be content When the gods send you a blessing You don't ask why it was sent...
that moment when your world turns to ash and all you are is a lie also if I was Ramses as SOON as I saw it was raining BURNING ICE I would give up SO damn fast
The stage play version of the Plagues is worse than the Lion King’s remake of Be Prepared. It’s actually appalling to neuter a song as powerful as this the way they did.
I loved this movie as a small child and it gave me so much emotion. But now I'm re-watching this from a nineteen year olds perspective and I'm sobbing throughout the whole thing because I mean... It's just so full of pure, raw emotion in the music and the story and ugh... Amazing.
Ramses was voiced by the same guy who was Voldimort ( sorry if spelled wrong) in Harry Potter in the Goblet of Fire, Order of the Phoenix, and The Deathly Hallows Part 1 and 2

Hi there , i might have been a bit late for the reply . But you know what i was thinking the same , i don't know why but i heard it like 15 times by far . It really rings in my mind repeatedly . By the way , how are you ! May you be safe in the middle of this pandemic .
Because you can almost relate to his pride. You can understand it even if you don’t agree with it.
+Jailyn Elcock OMG BTS!
right
To be fair the Jewish are more likely to complain Catholics take the New Testament more seriously.
Best animated film-Becomes a forgotten classic. and i dont understand why.
because its only shown in religious schools
true
Slygon because fuck tards these days will think it brings on religious views, and sure it might, but now we have many other religions that will get a sore ass about seeing it on tv.
Very true
Whew, i was about to go hulk on your butt until i saw that you said sarcasm
The line " And even now I wish that God had chose another. Serving as your foe in His behalf was the lasting that I wanted" always get me. You can feel the pain in that line because he truly didn't want to do this to his brother but because of his faith he has to do it.
90% came to argue religion
10% came to listen to badass music
yay! I'm the minority!
+Infinity I come for both lol, I critic gods actions. what an evil monster god was.
+HEBREW GENIUS because criticism applies to everybody. even the gods themselves.
ITS ABSOLUTE GENIUS.
100%
Well, I watch this movie with the same mind as when I watch Hercules. I look at this as myth-based fiction.
This is the only animated movie that makes cry
How about Lion King?
+James Kraus Same fella, it was this one and the Toy Story films that always put me in tears
+Callum Sweet Big hero 6 for me •-•
+James Kraus
Bro, have you even seen the opening for "Up"?!
No, no I have not.
I ADORE.
Lol, probably. : )
I'm Catholic too! As with you guys, we watched this film an awful lot as children. It scared me slightly then, and still does. I never forget the story, or the lessons it has to teach.
I remember memorizing all the songs then being proud that I could sing a song in another language. : )
***** English is my first. When I was little I'd sing the Hebrew part of Deliver Us, and the song Ashira L'adonai. : )
I miss these kinds of movies so much, Spirit. Prince of Egypt, Joseph King of Dreams.. Come back:(
"I'll send my scourge, I'll send my Sword"
"Let my People Go"
"Thus, said the Lord!"
Sucks the uploader cut it at there, the scene where the darkness sweeps in as if the the statue is actually crumbling is fucking amazing.
why do you need to say fuck
+axel leroy Why do you need to take offense at a word that was neither aimed at you, nor described anything that isn't perfectly natural and even essential for human survival?
+Mike Litoris ha ha good one . FUCK is the most amazing word EVER !!!
+christopher perry no. Fuck actually kinda.... sucks.
+eragonevb FUCK can't suck on it's own , it needs a helping word such as FUCK THIS SUCKS, see?
This character development tho.
when u realize voldemort is Ramses
Rosalie Prill and the moon king in kubo
Rosalie Prill and batman is moses
Rissa Prill
Holy shit, I just realized it now I feel stupid
*stares at screen for five minutes*
i realized that when i watched it again 13 years after my first time watching it and i was sh00k
damn that last harmonized note is so good, as well as the whole song "Let My People Go"
Out of all the songs I've ever heard from Dreamworks' and Disney's movies, none stands taller or prouder for me than Let my People Go.
Iuiiu
snowflakeflower9 I beg your pardon?
But...but...let it go! Elsa!
Aidan Keogh In my opinion, Heaven's Light/Hellfire is a serious contender.
Actually, pretty much everything from Hunchback (except A Guy Like You).
Laersico Very true. Hellfire is a close second for me.
"This was my home...all this pain and devastation, how it tortures me inside."
This gets me right in the feels, man. You realize how Moses must have been hurting so much seeing his his home of 40 years being destroyed.
3:26 I love the symbolism you see fire raining down and fire is usually associated with rage which is clearly what he feels
3:28 You see 2 terrified children then Moses who clearly is scared himself and doesn't want this
These subtle symbols is one of many great things in this movie
This movie was made perfectly. Notice how the statue of Horus the sun God who is like the chief of all the Egyptian gods starts crumbling at the end. I guess it signifies the fall of the Egyptian empire
i thought rah was their most powerful god
@@saklee1777 yes he was a great architect but after the plague of egypt it began to crumble
I loved how this movie actually showed the psychological effects of all this on Moses, like damn
I'm really urging to sing at the top of my lungs, but everyone around me is asleep. This is so uncool.
realy everyone went to sleep at six
6:00 is too early to go to bed, there's so much light, as soon as it's warm, that's the best time to go play outside
Alana hernandez Eh? When I wrote it it was like 12.00am.
Everybody else has a different time zone... xD
I know, it's so hard to stop myself from shouting out "THUS SAYETH THE LORD!!" at the top of my voice, but everyone is asleep :(
When DreamWorks killed Disney
Lmao yes!
but disney got their revenge in 2000 with aladdin
@@saklee1777 aladdin came out in 1992...
Disney was still winning with their PIXAR films, and the renaissance movies. In the 2000s however, I agree with DreamWorks assassinating Disney.
@@saklee1777 Aladdin can’t even come close to this masterpiece
Sister ask "can we pick up my friends to go to chucke cheese"?
i look down and sing to her "I WILL NOT LET YOUR PEOPLE GO!!!" lmao
She hates me 😂😂😂
pvtrichardsonbr I approve.
i must pass judgement like that LMAO
That's hilarious
2 years later
Yesssssss lol
The soundtrack in the movie! Oh my God! It's so good!
Samantha Smith have you heard the sound track for Joseph king of dreams? It's also really dope
Daaaamn old testament god be a BADASS!
*murdering tyrant
***** *Savoir of people who were oppressed for years
Just those people though.
And yours
this movie had a bombtastic soundtrack
“I WILL NOT LET YOUR PEOPLE GO!” As the final line always gave me chills
you can see the love and inspiration that went into every frame of this movie. truly a classic to anyone regardless of religion.
i may be an atheist but still i grew up watching this, to me it is just a great movie
What makes u atheist ?
cj mac2g by reading the bible
+Bird Scott listen ik u probably think all this isn't true because there's no actual proof. and ur right, because(I'm not gonna tell nothing wrong) the bible has been changing for the last 10000000 etc years 😂.but god understands how u feel because us as humans never experienced anything like this moses clip. and the reason for that is sin. Sin is something WE HUMANS ALL HAVE AND WERE BORN WITH IT EVEN U. but rn I'm running out of time if u want to talk to me or call me about this I'll give the number myself
cj mac2g i dont believe in sin or god but ty anyways :)
+Bird Scott THEN HOW DID WE COME INTO EXISTENCE OR HOW Did THE EARTH GET HERE PRAISE GOD HE IS REAL
Christian or not, this movie is for EVERYONE to watch! It has an amazing story and great soundtracks! :)
Chao Flaka Christian? This is a jewish legend u know
Aron Johansson thank you
Yeah, but it's important to both religions. So hey! Both of you are right!
Chao Flaka is a true story God's waiting for you
I think the point is that most Christians forget that this story is about the Jews escaping Egypt, which is a problem when Christians keep discriminating against Jews.
I want 2d animation back :(
We should all make a petition to bring 2d back and that should make more stories of the bible
Watch anime 😆
Everytime I see this movie I sing all the songs, and my mom tells me to shut up because I'm being too loud.
Shut up.
I rather not
:) I was being crass. I'm sure you have a lovely singing voice.
Spectre v13 I know you were I always say that to people to tell me shut up, thank you!
Brionna Gayle Also I have a huge confession, I can't stop listening to these videos, they're so good! :P
I adore how this movie makes the Egyptians look like true people and not monsters. You see their suffering as well as the suffering of the slaves.
The music of Prince Of Egypt was so epic it gave me chills
I think that the Bible teaches us to trust in God and most importantly let's us know that God is always protecting us.🙏💙
Historically the tale of Moses was the most popular one of the bible.
marinus18 Moses is pretty cool...✌🏼
the part "i send the swarm i send the horde" always send chills down my spine, so good
the music is epic!
*10 Plagues of Egypt*
1. Turning water to blood
2. Frogs
3. Lice or gnats
4. Wild animals or flies
5. Pestilence of livestock
6. Boils
7. Thunderstorm of hail and fire
8. Locusts
9. Darkness for three days
10. Death of firstborn
Love this movie. I would definitely show it to my kids because it helped me understand a very important part of the Bible even better than just reading the story. Wonderful visuals and a great soundtrack, too!
I feel cheated that The Ten Commandments was the Exodus movie I watched as a kid, instead of this. Holy heck this is awesome.
Bromance gone wrong...

Someone broke the bro code

I don't know if I should laugh or get really sad at this comment.
+Xpect DETANN I laughed
morro190 Why, just why?
I don't know why people insist on saying their religious views, all you need are ears and a brain to enjoy this.
Also eyes actually, the animation is fantastic!
PREACH!
Sósí Fevre if anything religion just makes shit worse
Agreed, I'm not very religious (was brought up with no religious background, really), but this is one of my favorite movies of all time.
I'm not religious, but this is still one of my very favorite childhood movies. It's masterfully produced.
I love how sympathetic they make Rameses. I don’t like his actions, but I understand his motivations because of the expectations put on him by his father and the Egyptian monarchy.
(Rameses:) "I will not..", (BOTH): "Let", (Rameses): "Your", (Moses): "My", (BOTH): "People", (BOTH): "Goooooooooooooooo!" Epic moment.
The Lion King is great and all buttt.....this movie would DESTROY broadway 😂😂 one of the few soundtracks that could actually be better then the Lion King. I mean the opening scene and song alone is better then that of the Lion King.
I don't think a play with such ostentatiously religious basis would fly really well currently.
They did a West End version and it was garbage. I want Broadway to do it and do it right.
Alexander Mahon This is also true.
Just love the music and believe what you believe no matter what anyone says :)
Just ignore them and enjoy the epicness of the music and you'll be fine!!
Why I avoid looking at the comments on these videos. "I'm an athiest and I still love this song!!!" like dude who cares
I just love those songs and that movie, SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!
This just shows you what happens when you ignore God's wishes
He decides not only to kill your children, but also your people and their children! Sounds more like a mafia boss than a loving father.
CaliberStone You speak as if He wanted to do it for no reason or something petty (like a mafia boss). No, He did so because there was no other way to save the Hebrews.
yashamoto
Listen to yourself.
Good day.
yashamoto
Argumentum ad hominem, I see.
Those are different categories.
I wouldn't compare them at all.
Not in the sense of "better" and "worse", but just "different".
@@koshej613 facts. simple stories don’t need to be looked down upon for not being masterpieces.
love this film and its soundtrack.
Films? I only mentioned one.
Confused mostly.
am I the only one who thought this scene(the plagues) was (and still is) so freaking EPIC
everyone seems to say they where scared of that scene as a child.
I mean, I remember rewinding just to watch that scene over and over again like 10 times ("deliver us'" and "playing with the big boys now"where my other two favorites)
the only scene that really freaked me out was the scene where Moses ran around looking at the hieroglyphs of babies getting eaten by crocodiles
Lisa Meow Yeah I saw that movie shortly after, it was cool as well.
yeah it was
+NekoNekoOtaku I used to have them on video tape ages ago haha
This is my favorite animated movie. I watch it at least once every few months. It’s phenomenal
One of those movies so massively incredible that it transcended religion and themes to the point that anyone can enjoy this movie
Actual conversation between me (aged 10) and my RE teacher:
Me: Miss, why did God kill all the firstborns of Egypt- why didn't he just bump off the pharoah?
Miss: Because then another one would take his place.
Me: Then why not just kill that one- I'm sure that after four or five pharoahs had been killed somebody would have freed the hebrews.
Miss: *looks away and pretends not to see me waving my hand in the air constantly throughout the lesson as new points come to me.*
😆
Good thinking!
Succession of one monarch takes a while. A lot longer than one day. Besides, by killing all of the firstborn sons,God punished Egypt as a whole,
Cheeseanonioncrisps /r/thathappened
Cj Jc Super just. Killing innocent people who had absolutely nothing to do with the Pharaoh's tyranny and were as much victim of it as anyone else. God is so fair. If He was gonna do that, why didn't He just kill the Pharaoh's firstborn?
Greg Candalez Because I guess the people were okay with slavery... ? to make a bigger impact? and by your logic the pharaoh's kid is inncoent as all the rest... he didn't do anything yet... regardless of what he might have done had he been allowed to grow up
"Let my people go" still gives me chills..
Same.
Whether you are religious or not, this story on its own holds up, showing the suffering of having to be an enemy of your own family for what you perceive to be a higher goal.
Great movie*eats popcorn*
LET MY PEO....PLE .. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
[Moses]
Gleaming in the moonlight
Cool and clean and all I've ever known
All I ever wanted
Sweet perfumes of incense
Graceful rooms of alabaster stone
All I ever wanted
This is my home
With my father, mother, brother
Oh so noble, oh so strong
Now I am home
Here among my trappings and belongings
I belong
And if anybody doubts it
They couldn't be more wrong
I am a sovereign prince of Egypt
A son of the proud history that's shown
Etched on ev'ry wall
Surely this is all I ever wanted
All I ever wanted
All I ever wanted
[Queen]
This is your home, my son
Here the river brought you
And it's here the river meant
To be your home
Now you know the truth, love
Now forget and be content
When the gods send you a blessing
You don't ask why it was sent...
I love this movie!! I've seen it over a dozen times!
getting those goosebumps near the end~ its sooo good! 👌 definitely one of my favorite songs in an animated film
that moment when your world turns to ash and all you are is a lie
also if I was Ramses as SOON as I saw it was raining BURNING ICE I would give up SO damn fast
This is epic! I can imagine a musical on Broadway 😍👌
The stage play version of the Plagues is worse than the Lion King’s remake of Be Prepared.
It’s actually appalling to neuter a song as powerful as this the way they did.
Idk why but this song always moved me
I loved this movie as a small child and it gave me so much emotion. But now I'm re-watching this from a nineteen year olds perspective and I'm sobbing throughout the whole thing because I mean... It's just so full of pure, raw emotion in the music and the story and ugh... Amazing.
I miss old style animation a lot due to my extra strong nostalgia goggles.
i love how te dos got so excited to see him at 0:57
Parts of these problems from this movie I can relate to a little. These were very powerful moments when I was younger.
Yes. I am on a Prince of Egypt Clip binge.
So damn powerful...
Get goosebumps everytime
Why can't we just come and watch and listen to this awesome music?
Oh the feels!!!
Even if you aren’t religious, you have to admit that this movie is a cinematic masterpiece
Ramses was voiced by the same guy who was Voldimort ( sorry if spelled wrong) in Harry Potter in the Goblet of Fire, Order of the Phoenix, and The Deathly Hallows Part 1 and 2
I love Rameses..... xD
"This was my home. All this pain and devastation. How it tortures me inside. All the innocent suffers from your stubbornness and pride!" How powerful!
This 25 year old movie looks better than some movies made in the last 5 years
nostalgia max…
Moses and Ramses still get along better than my brother and I!
Prince of Egypt... One of the only movies where a musical number actually progresses the plot.
