Question: what is a furry
Answer: a furry is a person that has an anthropomorphic character also called fursona. It doesn’t matter if the person has a fursuit or not, if they have a fursona they are a furry.
If someone is drawing an anthropomorphic character but it’s not their own oc, they are not a furry. For example when someone is drawing a character from beastars they are not a furry.

Actually you're wrong, one does NOT have to have a fursona in order to be a furry. I've hung around furries online and irl for several years trying to fully understand them. It's a state of mind. Its all about emotional connection to anthro characters or art in any form, incl but not limited to art from the furry community (drawings, fursuits or parts, etc). If you are obsessed with any anthro Disney animals past or present, for example, then you are by definition a furry. A lot of people are furries and they don't even realize it. There's different types of furry. It's not all black and white.

"Furry" refers to a genre of character art. Anthropomorphic animals aren't always "furries." Snoopy, garfield, bugs bunny, and micky mouse aren't considered furries, but arguably characters from Zootopia, sonic, and beastars are considered by many to be furries.
