Honestly mood. First job I had working at a fair, Karen called me stupid because I was slow counting change. Then my second job which was supposed to be more permanent, in my first week, some old person complained his chips were 'too crispy'. I can't agree with the whole "don't ghost" thing. It's all in circumstance and they're always different. I ghosted from my first job because it was extremally toxic and even abusive. I was called names and even physically pushed by a coworker, into the corner of an industrial drier(my back sit the corner and hurt like hell) and she made it look like I was leaving the job to her to do alone so I'd get in trouble. They never believed me and favored the ones who were bullying me. I told the department manager what happened, she brought me to the big boss to repeat my story and they blamed it on some disorder the girl had and then punished ME by forcing me to clean every toilet and bathroom in the building by myself, even if someone had just finished cleaning it. Told me not to talk about this to anyone else so the others thought I was sent to redo their jobs like they'd done it wrong or something. I cried in my bed for 2 days and was eventually sent to a ward for unsafe choices. my advisor came in and told me to simply not show up. Do not talk to them, don't even look at them in public. Drop the scum completely. and I was happier after I did that and happier still when I got that letter of termination.
It is absolutely one-hundred-percent appropriate to ghost a job. Your job wouldn't think twice of just taking you off the schedule and never telling you keeping you on the payroll forever but never working you So why should any employee think about just leaving... if you're not full time there's absolutely no reason to even warn your employer... screw them... If you died they would have your job filled before your obituary... the majority of employers do not care about the safety or sanity of their employees. They would be fine with breaking your back and then firing you for not being able to complete your duties. Just like I told my boss everything stems from your employees if they are not happy your customers will not be happy But you already know he did not listen and does not give a s*** just comes up with excuse after excuse. So before I ghost him completely I am giving discounts to anyone that simply comes in with a smile or a cheery disposition... in my eyes my job is no longer to facilitate the operation of the business and more to make sure the customer is satisfied happy and not getting f***** by the boss that is f****** everyone else

you ever get those customers that complain or refund, generally just keep taking up time that doesn't have to be as long but they make it that way, not necessarily argumentative or hostile, just demanding to be catered to and out of touch with the line building and building? who knows if they're doing on purpose or just wanting everything their way while making everyone else grouchy and lack self awareness. i can imagine that customer probably causing the most stress, not so much the loud, destructive ones since they've already done enough to be refused service. i didn't work at mcdonalds but i know the psychology of that environment, i worked at a college front desk where traffic could funnel about 300 some people with questions and requests.

13 is the minimum age that you can get a job, but you need parental permission and a permit if you're under 15. Unless you're working in a family business or entertainment, and then there is no minimum age. There are also a lot more rules for underage employees regarding how many hours they can work and what time of the day, so that it doesn't interfere with their school or sleep.
I feel like the animators are making a world for themselves McDonald’s -> WackDonald’s Wendies -> Wondies Subway -> Suubway These are all the ones I can remember at the moment
I'm amazed that Maaz could endure the three months-ish of his work in McDonald's. For me, because I had a weak will and cannot handle complaints and the yelling very much, I quitted after two months. After being yelled for being slow and making mistakes, I just couldn't take it anymore. I even had to get blamed for something I didn't do because my coworkers are slow.
I'm nearing my first year at Wackdonalds, I've seen dozens of people leave, most not making past a month or two. Barely any of the coworkers I had when I first started working there have left.
@@castro1011 I've been working here over a year now and I agree 100%. It's not a hard job it's just the customers that make it a worse experience. If they can't man their way through it then they didn't need the job badly enough🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
@@Chelsey1237 ive been working there over a year as well and honestly as long as the managers are okayyyish and you need the cash its worthit. just kinda sucks being verbally assaulted on a semi daily basis
5:43 Dude, you fucking perfectly described working in customer service anxiety!!! One day managers want quality, next they want quantity and fuss at you for being too slow. Then they fuss at you for being too fast and making mistakes. WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM US?!!
As a assistant manager at Domino’s Pizza, I feel this video so hard. It is definitely hard to deal with annoying customers. My location doesn’t deliver to hotels as they aren’t in our delivery area. A guy called late at night and started to get really mad and yelled at me because I couldn’t take his order. Since I’ve worked in food for 5 years now, anytime I go to a restaurant I try my best to be nice to the staff because i know from experience that working these jobs is stressful and draining.
And it is completely idiotic to be rude to someone that is supposed to be making your food. Imagine if you bullied your mechanic his entire life... you'd be lucky if your brakes didn't get cut.
I remember my first weird customer at my first job. I was 14 (and I’m a petite girl who’s looked 4 years younger than I actually am my entire life), and this group of adult men were being weird in the aisle I was in and doing whatever weird customers do. They leave, I go on with my job and about half an hour later one of these 30+ looking dudes walks back in, makes a b-line for me and asks for my number. I say ‘I’m sorry sir, I have a girlfriend.’ And he keeps bugging me, asking for my number, insta, snap, holding his phone out and practically standing over me. Eventually I just went into the back of the store and waited the man out, also telling my manager (an absolute sweetheart) what’s going on. We only had about 10 minutes till closing and I was done doing my stuff so she let me wait it out downstairs and kept an eye out for him. She waited with me for my dad to pick me up and made sure I got in the car safely before going home herself. People are weird, but my manager made up for it.
I work at Wack's, and it's stressful, but my Canadian managers and coworkers are really great at tolerating my incompetence. Once you've worked for enough and made it through the worst bits at the start, you make it to a point where you're the one teaching the new employees, and it's a really great experience.
I had to get a job there recently as i was in a small town and not much work, im 26 so i don't really take the customers BS, but its odd because sometimes youll get complete wackos and then they come back a couple days later and they are completly normal/tolerable. This one lady came up to the window and before my co worker was even done pouring her coffee she was like *ahem* wheres my coffee, i told her straight up that it wasn't gonna just magicly appear in her hands, she then replied with "how about a smile" i was striaght up with her a second time and told her "i'd smile if it wasn't her" She came back couple days later and i was preparing for the worst, but she was just like "theres that smile" and we both laughed you gotta just be very stern with some of them, esp the people who ask for sauce knowing that if they asked for it at the speaker they would get charged for it, then complaining when they are told they will be charged, like buddy, you aint pulling a fast one on me for a 30 cent sauce packet or a 60 cent mayo pack, yes those are the prices for sauce/mayo packs After i put my notice in, one of the young guys quit right then and there on the spot, saying i was the only person who made the environment tolerable, he was nervous beforehand, saying "oh no this is my first job" i told him like bro youll get a second, and a third, and a fourth. Man was like "trueeeeee" and then went into the office, grabed his stuff and left that day, didnt even put notice in hahaha Management is also abysmal, I got trained to clean the fry machine at 10pm to get a head start on closing, i did this for maybe 2 months time untill one day got reprimanded for it, i told them why is there a bin designated to put fries in for cleaning if your requesting i clean it at 11pm (when we dont need to keep them in a container for customers) and he was just yeah yeah well that shouldnt be there i forgot, so im getting reprimanded for something management forgot to do.... mmmmhmmm, and i was called in on my day off to close for someone who called in sick, so i went home told him if he wanted me to help close then he needed to trust me, the next day head management is talknig to me, saying things like "this isnt the first time you have walked off of shift" and i told her thats bull because it was and shes like "oh sorry i have you confused with someone else" thats the kind of professionalism you get when going to this establishment. not to mention after doing them a solid of putting my two week notice in rather then quitting on the spot they returned the favor with giving me 0 hours for those weeks, i had to go above managements head because another department head was in that day to force him to give me some hours so i could at least feed myself. disgusting place to work, if you ever get treated like i do write everything down and when they give you 0 hours after quitting bring it to a lawyer instead of telling the company.
My sister used to work at DQ(dairy queen) and it's basically the most popular joint in our very small town. So as you can imagine, it's very busy, and a LOT of weirdos manage to stop by. Like crazy Christine who would hold up the entire drive threw to sing random songs at you. I met her at a laundromat once, the story's were true, she was insane. Went to the grocery store and the police were in the parking lot because she was going around singing to people and all around being a disturbance to the peace. She was infamous in our town until she passed away. Another person that frequented the DQ was a old man that got rightfully nicknamed herbert the pervert. Not going into detail on that, but he was a major creep that would ask the teen girls where they lived. And that was just one of his minor offences. He was infamous in my town till he died aswell. Another one was a old man that walked into DQ in his underwear holding his pants on his arm along with a newspaper. He ordered a ice cream cone and asked for a bag (like a paper bag you put big orders in) my sister got the bag and the cone and gave it to him. He put his pants into the bag along with his newspaper and went on his way. We think he might have been a nursing home escapee because he was just walking, no car. I just don't understand why he didn't just... put his pants on? Now my sister works at Walmart. The story's from there are also nuts, and its funner because it's in a city 30mins away from our little town. Funner like they had to call the police on a veteran drag queen that was dressed up like Hannah Montana because he was swinging a bat at random cars in the parking lot 👍.
I worked at McDonald’s too for my first job. Most of the bad experiences came from the bitchy female coworkers who pretended they were too good for the job. They HATED me for always coming in and acting dorky and as if I liked the job. I hated it. But customers loved me and requested me often. When they saw the job stuck me in the drive thru out of spite, they came there for me.
@@axoltheartist you would think. They wrote me up twice to cover for their lack of management. So I took my skills and got jobs at two winery’s and an actual restaurant. Got paid more and learned more valuable skills

I hated working fast food as well. I almost had to call the cops on someone for a $0.99 Baked potato. One of the better points though was they made me a shift manager even after I told them I had plans on quitting within a specific time frame as I was joining the military. Having a good work ethic has always made the difference in my jobs even if I wasn't so great sometimes.
@@Mayhaps07 to be fair though, I'm working 3 jobs and still barely scraping by because they still don't pay us enough, and it's taking a toll on my mental and physical health. If I was getting the unemployment money everyone else is, shit, I could drop to one job and not kill myself overworking. Most people aren't working rn because they understand they weren't making shit before, when jobs shut down and suddenly people couldn't afford rent because nobody makes enough for bills and a good amount of savings, they decided they shouldn't have to go back to working shitty underpaid jobs when they can make more not doing that
As an American. I have a bit of regret not putting in my two weeks as often as I have. At the same time though if you REALLY, REALLY hate where you work and you have a shitty manager... And your not a doctor contemplating this in the middle of an important procedure... Quiting without notice once or twice in your life isn't going to really affect your reputation that much. Especially as time goes on. Put in your two weeks in general, but don't let professionalism be a reason to put up with a toxic environment.
@@Mayhaps07 yeah people need to start paying more. That's just demand. The same people bitching about the so called "labor shortage" are the same people to say "that's just how the economy is you have to play by it's rules, stop being entitled". Well that's just the demand, economics 101. Employers want more labor they got to meet the demand for it and stop being entitled. There's no such thing as a "labor shortage". If I were to walk into a store with nothing but a dollar to my name and was refused a 3 dollar bag of chips due to insufficient funds, would that mean there's a "chip shortage"? No, plenty of chips to go around for the people willing to pay for it, just like there's plenty of labor to go around for the people willing to pay for it. Employers should stop expecting hand outs from the working class like entitled brats and just pay the demand of labor. Yeah, they'll lose profits, which no business man wants, but they'll live.

BRING BACK YOUR LITTLE PIZZA THINGIES YOU GUYS USED TO MAKE THE ONES WITH CHOCOLATE ONTOP P L E A S E :(
And it is completely idiotic to be rude to someone that is supposed to be making your food.
Imagine if you bullied your mechanic his entire life... you'd be lucky if your brakes didn't get cut.
I luv ur style, it’s so smooth.
Wow 😳

I have insane amounts of respect for mass for being able to both be a doctor and be an animator were usually one would take most of the time
I had to get a job there recently as i was in a small town and not much work, im 26 so i don't really take the customers BS, but its odd because sometimes youll get complete wackos and then they come back a couple days later and they are completly normal/tolerable.
This one lady came up to the window and before my co worker was even done pouring her coffee she was like *ahem* wheres my coffee, i told her straight up that it wasn't gonna just magicly appear in her hands, she then replied with "how about a smile" i was striaght up with her a second time and told her "i'd smile if it wasn't her"
She came back couple days later and i was preparing for the worst, but she was just like "theres that smile" and we both laughed
you gotta just be very stern with some of them, esp the people who ask for sauce knowing that if they asked for it at the speaker they would get charged for it, then complaining when they are told they will be charged, like buddy, you aint pulling a fast one on me for a 30 cent sauce packet or a 60 cent mayo pack, yes those are the prices for sauce/mayo packs
After i put my notice in, one of the young guys quit right then and there on the spot, saying i was the only person who made the environment tolerable, he was nervous beforehand, saying "oh no this is my first job" i told him like bro youll get a second, and a third, and a fourth. Man was like "trueeeeee" and then went into the office, grabed his stuff and left that day, didnt even put notice in hahaha
Management is also abysmal, I got trained to clean the fry machine at 10pm to get a head start on closing, i did this for maybe 2 months time untill one day got reprimanded for it, i told them why is there a bin designated to put fries in for cleaning if your requesting i clean it at 11pm (when we dont need to keep them in a container for customers) and he was just yeah yeah well that shouldnt be there i forgot, so im getting reprimanded for something management forgot to do.... mmmmhmmm, and i was called in on my day off to close for someone who called in sick, so i went home told him if he wanted me to help close then he needed to trust me, the next day head management is talknig to me, saying things like "this isnt the first time you have walked off of shift" and i told her thats bull because it was and shes like "oh sorry i have you confused with someone else" thats the kind of professionalism you get when going to this establishment. not to mention after doing them a solid of putting my two week notice in rather then quitting on the spot they returned the favor with giving me 0 hours for those weeks, i had to go above managements head because another department head was in that day to force him to give me some hours so i could at least feed myself. disgusting place to work, if you ever get treated like i do write everything down and when they give you 0 hours after quitting bring it to a lawyer instead of telling the company.

Maybe a compromise between TheAMaazing and TheWack1sOut is in order: WackDouunald’s.
I’m sorry a veteran drag queen who was doing WHAT

I worked at McDonald’s too for my first job. Most of the bad experiences came from the bitchy female coworkers who pretended they were too good for the job. They HATED me for always coming in and acting dorky and as if I liked the job. I hated it. But customers loved me and requested me often. When they saw the job stuck me in the drive thru out of spite, they came there for me.

@@Pigeonpsychology456 exactly, they have jobs yet they’re not freaking working
