  • In this video will go over the approach to stall and stall recovery procedure for the B737.
You can find the profile for this maneuver in the FCTM(Section 7 Maneuvers) and the procedure for the recovery is in the QRH.
You will be performing three types:
    1- Level Off (Clean stall).
    2- Turning Base (Approach Stall).
3- ILS Final Approach (Landing Stall).
I strongly recommend that you read the FCTM and QRH every time you go for recurrent, this way you will make the best out of the learning experience.
A couple of items to point out here to avoid getting into a secondary stall:
1- Go easy on the first application of the thrust, advance it quarter or maybe third way in, but in all cases not more than half way. The airplane will pitch up when you add power, so make sure you get it under control before advancing the thrust more.
2- The QRH say clearly to reduce your angle of attack smoothly until the stick shaker stop. Please do exactly that, reduce your angle of attack smoothly and slowly once the stick shaker stop you do not need to pitch down further. But remember to maintain a margin between your airplane symbol and the Pitch Limit Indicator. It will move up and dow and you need to adjust your pitch accordingly.
    The steps for the recovery:
    Hold the control column firmly.
    Disconnect the A/P and A/T.
Smoothly apply nose down elevator to reduce the angle of attack until buffet or stick shaker stops.
Roll in the shortest direction wings level if needed.
    Advance thrust levers as needed.
    Retract the speedbrake.
Finally remember that this is a training tutorial only. Please refer to your manuals for more accurate procedures and steps.
Please let me know if you have any comments questions, and if you have any special topics you would like me to cover.

In the approach/landing stall, you mentioned that a GO AROUND should be executed if the ACFT is below 1,000 feet AGL. If the conditions are VMC, can we lower the mandatory go around to 500 feet AGL?

Personally I wouldn’t take the chance,
TECHNICALLY speaking, that depends on your company procedure, if the stabilized approach in VMC is at or above 500ft, then TECHNICALLY speaking you can.
Practically in my opinion their is no reason to continue an approach after recovering from a stall that close to the ground, by the way am talking about simulator training

      Thank you Alexi Echevers,
The software I use is Microsoft Flight Simulator X (FSX) which is now replaced with Prepar3D: Lockheed Martin (P3D)
And you need an add-on from PMDG for the B737.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Abdulmuati Asiri thank you very much for your reply. I think you have a big screen for that and have to learn how to operate with mouse. I'm from Panama working for jet airways, where are you from?

You are mose welcome sir. My CPU is connected to a TV and I use a wirless keyboard, mouse and joystick. You don’t have to have a big screen. I remember years back when I took my 737 initial that I loaded the simulator to my lap top and practiced the flow thier. Maybe not good for flying but was cery good to practice the fllows.
      I am from Saudi Arabia.
