- This video goes over the steep turns maneuver that you will be doing in the simulator.
Two items will help you in performing this maneuver:
1- Power setting, start with 71% N1 although many of the instructors recommend 10% of whatever the auto throttle is using. For me, 71% works fine and during the maneuver, a small adjustment may be needed.
2- Pitch attitude half of the box up in the attitude indicator is a good starting point and then half of the box movement up or down will give you a shallow climb or descend less than 500fpm which is great in a steep turn.
Finally, brief the PM to call for you 30,20,10 degrees to roll out that will help you in rolling out of the steep turn.

Maybe you can help with videos on correct rotation techniques in terms of speed at which i can rotate to the right pitch, high energy descent management especially during vectored approaches, i have got a long list. Truly appreciate the effort you put into this channel.
by high energy descent management, i mean when to know i am high on profile as compared with vnav path or low and how to effectively correct.

mtrackerbeyond my quick tip from me is to alway assure You have set Your fmc routing as per atc. Normally they will give You trac miles or base leg info, insert it and follow vnav.

Hey Captain, great explanation, one question Do I have use the Rudder while I turn to the 45 degrees bank to keep it centre?

I have not felt the need for rudder in steep turns in the 737,,, so you just make sure the airplane trimmed correctly before you start the maneuver and that should be it,
