  • Our experience before, during and after using envirovent.
Wont be answering anymore questions about this video it remains a great product. But the company asked to use my video and make their own for marketing purposes which i allowed thinking they would offer a good will gesture and offered me nothing in return. So yes it a good product but wont answer anything else unless envirovent would like to make me an offer for using my video @envirovent

Brilliant vlog. Great to hear the change in your voice when after the unit is fitted and the results are amazing. I'm definitely sold on the product. Take care pal.

Apparently bungalows are more prone to moisture, mould, condensation and damp. We have had a unit installed in ours and it has eliminated the condensation issues we have tried to manage (worse in the colder weather) for years.
I’m binning all of the moisture traps and the dehumidifier is taking a well earned break.
    Fantastic system.

We had 3 envirovents instealled in our rented property. The one you have here but it was a slightly different version of it, one in the bathroom that went through the loft directly outside and another one, the cyclone 7 in the kitchen. They were excellent! We’ve bought a house now and have just had the cyclone 7 installed in our bathroom and planning on getting another one for the kitchen. The only issue with the one you have is in the winter the cold air it blasts down from the loft can make the area where it is quite cold, but they are great

Glad it worked for you but it is an expensive way of swopping out air. With a small family you will breathe out loads of moisture and if in still air it will condense. If your property isn't well vented then these systems will do it albeit at a cost. Thanks for the vid.

    Hi John,
Thanks for the video. We suffer from same problem in our house. Condensation on every window and mould growing on first floor. I had to get window vac and clean all windows. I go 4-5 bottles of mould spray every winter .
Dehumidifier runs for almost all day but fails to bring humidity down. It's always at 65-70%.
My question is if the unit is pushing the air in from the loft hows air getting pushed out? Did you have to put vents in the rooms?

Hi, you don’t need to do anything else it is one unit and that is it. The person who installs it will put it in the best location to cover your house. I remember your pain of the Windows and the dehumidifiers etc. I can tell you since having this installed we have none of them anymore at all and don’t even worry about it now.

Did you try leaving your bathroom and kitchen windows open a crack before installing the envirovent? Often that can be all it takes to solve a condensation problem. The envirovent has essentially the same effect as leaving a window open. Leaving a window open will increase heating costs. But so does the environvent, as it introduces outside air which it heats using it's electric heating element.

If you do that you can blow all that moisture into the house unless you have positive pressure inside. These issues are caused by old houses that have been insulated, double glazing installed, fire places removed and a modern heating system. PIV seems like its the way to go.

Thanks for posting this. I had a chap from Envirovent come round today to survey my property. We have a similar issue - not quite as bad pooling on the windows but some additional patches leading to mould on the ceiling.
I'm waiting for my quote but everything the chap said made logical sense and I'm very curious to know if your issues remain resolved in the weeks/months ahead...

Hi Jamie, honestly at present I cannot fault it. I will be doing another video after 4 weeks and then 6weeks as they say this is when other changes will happen. But also will be deeper into winter by then so a true test at that point. We had a frost this morning and normally every window would be drenched but it was dry and by then I may have washed away the old marks (fun xmas break job lol) I literally have nothing bad to say at present about the entire experience.

I have one, there is a considerable drop but you just balance this with the heating. I turned mine down to the lowest fan speed and this has helped greatly as well.
      I went from 70 - 79% humidity to 49%

That damp on the lower is that rising damp? If so you should get Electro osmotic damp proofing as well as the PIV with some trickle vents in key areas

Hi there, I just had a survey done and sounds really good! How’s it is going so far with the condensation, damp and mold? Also since installation did it make any difference to the conservatory? Thanks

    • @johnclarke3440
      @johnclarke3440  3 роки тому +1

Hi, we are still perfect not had any condensation, damp or mold what-so-ever. The conservatory i cannot comment on as we never leave the door open to the main house as our conservatory is old and cold with no heating and would just make everywhere freezing if we did. But if you have a decent conservatory with heating and therefore leave the door open then i would assume it would be fine. The man who came to me did say it would clear it but as i say we just leave it closed off.

@@johnclarke3440 that’s good to hear, like you we also have our conservatory closed but does have a heater but then again roof glass window steams up with water droplets running down. Do you think getting those 2 vents like you did will help?

@@sadiqulalum2549 My ceiling is still dripping in the conservatory but just around the edges now it used to be all over. so the vents have helped a bit. The man did say what doesnt help is opening it letting all the hot air in and then closing it off but we have no choice as that is our utility room. Eventually i aim to remove this room completely as i have never been a fan of conservatories.
