Hi Sam, thanks for your great channel. Would be great to see a comparison between the PIV products that you've used, why you recommend the ones you do, running costs, heated devices, how they're wired up and what they sound like in operation if you have chance. I'm sure that with all the insulation of buildings, these devices are going to be needed more and more in the future. Thanks.
These things are a life saver. I always use my fans in kitchen and bathroom but still not enough so had to install one of these. I have the nuair one and got it for a bargain through work. Don't bother with the heated ones coz there expensive to run and the normal ones just mix with heated air from the house anyway. Seems mad to spend all this money on double glazing and insulation then have to install a draft vent but what can you do
Just fitted one of these and am just a bit concerned it’s going to ruin the conditions within the loft which subsequently might have an effect on the timbers. I’ve seen that the loft space should be well ventilated, my 1930’s semi isn’t that well ventilated. How concerned should I be ?
I've got an envirovent piv unit. It was installed a week ago. The insulation smell from the attic has filled the whole house. Please tell me this smell goes away soon....
@@dampsam Yes, I think so too... He did look in the attic and said there was plenty of air up there. I will ring them tomorrow. Thank you for your advice.
remarkable work again sam !

Yes your right Rozzer, big market for these at the moment and in the future ☝️

Well the pIV won’t work unless the loft is well ventilated so all your doing is re circulating air with no fresh clean air coming in
Hello Dave, Which PIV wall unit would you recommend for a 3 bed flat roof house please? And how much to supply and fit? 😁
We would have to do a survey first

Sounds like the loft may not be vented enough, you may need some roof vents, this should have been looked at by the surveyor doing the initial survey
