Aron, I looked all over to find a smartphone holder that wasn't cheaply made. In August 2022, I called B&H Photography store in New York and wow, within 10 minutes of talking to "Mitch" he came up with the Ulanzi ST-14 Iron Man III 360 Tripod Smartphone Mount. My phone is a Samsung S22 Ultra and is quite larger and heavier than what I was used to so I had to have something that is rugged and wouldn't collapse! I love, love LOVE this item. It fits on my tripod beautifully and I can even "hand hold" it with my phone securely locked into place. The reason I've just discovered this video today (December 2022) is that I'm ordering a second one after watching this video. The one ordered earlier will remain attached in on my tripod and the new one will go in my camera bag for hand-held shots.

amazing video but i have one important question i have the s24 ultra and i would love to know if this clamp can actually go over my ottorbox defender or would i have to take the case off because this is exactly what im looking for
I have low key needed this video for a while tbh, there is a looooot of garbage products out there. Thanks for doing the leg work for us Aron :D K, on a related note, my phone mount I had in my car (attached to the windscreen window) melted last summer...the evidence you can still see in my poor car. I shall be upgrading my car soon (woo) but I'm looking for a good alternative for an in car phone holder. Is there a mechanism that I can leave in my car that this thing can attach to? If so I will buy this thing right this second!
No its on the back of the large black moving grip part, you can just make it out on your video theres a shiny type of silver metal, it's rectangle... They've taken time to add it for somthing but I cant think of any use for it, do you know?

Now whilst you may not know how to make one, there are plenty of tutorials on youtube. Now if you know how to build one that just means you can make it with all the features you would like. In my case i made mine foldable, so it just folds into a tiny little block and fits PERFECTLY in my pocket.
this is the worst phone and most expensive phone mount I ever bought. absolute waste of money in every way. while it looks impressive it's complete crap. get the ST-27 instead!
Ha you must be joking, the st-27 doesn't compete with the St-14 on one key area. It doesn't even tilt as it doesn't have a ball head. Creators need the extra flexibility. I've found it incredible and It will last a loooong time. I love all of the ulanzi phone holders but believe this to currently be the top G
