Have the 300L and done some off-road, I can align with your comments. Really good bike for TET. Have done 78mph on motorway at 7600rpm. Does perform well.

Where are the steep uphill / downhill sections? ; ) You can wind up the rear spring 1 turn to stiffen it and if it is the same as the 250 you can add a spring in the front fork that has no spring

GREAT Video! Really like it but it has not yet arrive here in Germany. I went to see the Vent 125 rr Baja on Friday and by far this is the best all around 125cc dual sport bike in this market. Being that a good suspension is so important for off road trail riding, I would like your opinion based on this Vent 125rr Baja specs; wether this motorcycle would be enough for a 76kg rider to hit the trail.
It's a nice easy cruising trail bike or street bike for its intended purpose everybody that's worried about the suspension and the horsepower should go out and buy a 701 Husqvarna and then when you're right it on the trail you can stall all the time and ride with the clutch in whenever you're going slow but it'll be great for going down to drag strip 😆
ABS sucks in the dirt but on the highway it is great so if you hit the trails turn it off nice bikes great review thank you I want one but at 6’4” and 270 I think the suspension is soft for me as I’m an aggressive rider and I would bottom it out for sure but I could learn to be softer too. Cheers

I was thinking with the higher torque and high top gear it would hold a good cruising speed at lowish revs, am I I wrong? What's it like on the tarmac? Cheers
I test rode it last Saturday and I took it up to about 110 km/h which was a little over half way of the rpm range in 6th gear. Ordered the rally after that for exactly the purpose you are talking about :) (In Belgium the rally isn't available yet so I test rode the CRF300 L)

Most changed sprockets - 1 front +2 rear on 250,that was similar to new 300 gearing you mention, but stock 300 is way nicer then that because with sprockets before everything was short, 5th on 300 is longer then stock gearing 250, let alone with sprocket mods. Its gonna be popular bike again.

I buy me the Honda crf300l before 4 Month, it's a beautiful bike, but what I not like the bike is a little bit to heavy with 150 kilogram in my opinion. Number two is, the bike could have more power for 300cm3...I miss this. I change the exhaust pipe too, because the original pipe is a disaster of sound and design and it's heavy too. Next bike will be a two stroke.

When i had mine , which was 2013 model had basically the same cable. People tend to make a lot of fuss for nothing, in this case that cable. I never had any issues reading the speedo ONROAD sitting on the bike. Standing on the pegs OFF road you could still see it but seriusly, do you really need to see how fast your going when tackling a trail off road?
I’ve seen a video about changing the throttle cable for a CRF450R cable and rerouting it but I think it was on a CRF450L. Maybe this would have the same result on the 300L?
@@jasoncee666 Yes, and that fan is always on, at least in the tropics, which is one of the huge downsides of this bike: they still fit just half a cooler... Might not be an issue in Europe, but it is in a hot country.
Should be getting my bike in less than a fortnight but, I don't think it will be as good as my 1985 XR350RF was in terms of being able to tick all the boxes that the XR did.
On our models ABS is switchable so can have on or off. If you cannot turn it off it's not a deal breaker, but you may be more limited on the limit off road, ping down hill etc as it just won't engage the same.

Afternoon fella's, question for you. How do you get on with the bike accelerating over bumps and hole while off Road? Mine seems to cut the power almost like traction control or maybe something to do with this slipper clutch??? You found the same? Any though on stopping this? Cheers
We've had no such issues, and been hopping and wheelieing etc. What you describe sounds like TC, but these bikes certainly don't have it in less yours is special! There's nothing to link anything to cutting the power. Turn off abs? Take vid to show the issue?

If it only does it on large bumps and holes it’s probably the kick stand bouncing there’s cutoff switch tape up the stand and see if it still does it 😎

Can't give details on suspension yet, hopefully not news this week, but can say they are international therefore location not a problem, and will be full setup - shock and forks. No option for kick-start, but these Honda's always start on the button!

After spending years in both Aus and the UK, I've gotta say Aus isn't as good as the UK.... bar sand riding. But yeah the trails these guys were on weren't the greatest but saying that they are counted as roads not off road tracks

I live in Victoria and within 1 hours drive I can ride sand , mud , rocks , pine forests , high country , even snow or on the beach. Great review! Do you think that if you install some handlebar risers it will help lifting the handlebar? Or do you sugest buying a new one?
We will be installing risers and new bars, look out for an upgrades video coming soon. It's no secret the standard bars are prone to bending!

Our plan is to add an adaptor for Fat bars which will act as a rise. The other issue is that the bars aren't really strong enough.

Make sure you are comfortable with the nearly 35" seat height of the CRF300L. Dirt bikes are taller than you might think.

Seems that's a common issue with this bike ... handlebars too low, but easily remedied.
