You are absolutely correct! Nothing lasts like Estée Lauder. Holds on from early morning to late evening. I have not found another foundation like it!

I mix Estée Lauder Double Wear with Estée Lauder’s Advanced Night Repair to keep it from getting cakey! It takes down the heaviness of it and makes it more serum-like and hydrating....try it!
Estee Lauder does own Mac but the foundations are worlds apart. Mac foundations are hella yellow and cakey. Eldw gives a beautiful satin matte finish and is long lasting.

I am so happy that I came across this video and your channel. I hated double wear because I was wearing the wrong colour. I was colour matched at Sephora and also at The Bay for Double Wear and the mua said 5w1 Bronze was my true shade. I found that it was too orange for me so i rarely used it. You are my shade in your other foundations and I gave 4W2 a try because of this video. I’m in love. This was in fact my perfect match. Great video!

I completely agree with you in regards to ELDW. I tried Pat McGrath and found it doesn’t even come close to ELDW’s staying power and longevity. I was very disappointed as I thought surely Skin Fetish Sublime foundation by Pat McGrath would be life changing. But I love Estee significantly more as it doesn’t move in heat and humidity!

This was SO helpful! I was so upset when the EL DW nude fresh was discontinued. I went back to the classic DW but it’s a bit dry and a lot for every day. I never thought of trying it with strobe cream or something to lighten up or hydrate the finish. Excited to try it and also VERY helpful to know the differences between MAC & EL foundations. I was about to try mac but don’t think I need to now! 🤗

When you said Ester Lauder was transfer resistance that grabbed my attention.

Hi. Little late it’s June 2020. After many years of EL double wear then stay in place. Mac is closed but as soon as they open up I am trying this foundation. I used studio fix powder a decade ago but now I’m 41 and need something different. Thank you for this video.

I tried the studio fix fluid, only lasted for 6-7 hours before it came off of my nose and upper lip. I have very red skin so it's super noticeable. I've used estee for a few years, it lasts super long. It is cakey compared to MAC, but the coverage and longevity of estee is so much better. Hard to get off at the end of the night but I would rather have the coverage. Thanks for this video!! Totally agree with you.

great video!!! I have wanted to try the estee lauder forever but it has always been an undertone issue for me as with so many other foundations. I have yellow undertones and the mac oxidized horribly; all med to dark woc are not nc45 lol & estee lauder had me orange so I will try them again with shade range expansion. TFS!!!!

I want to try both of these. I have only used drug store. I did get color matched for Fenty Beauty and thankfully I did. I have been buying the wrong undertone. Now I can't wait for the Sephora sale. I have a sample but I am buying my new favorite foundation, Fenty Beauty. I would like to be matched with Mac so I know how to compare with other foundations. People always use Mac as a point of reference.

I have both foundations as well and also prefer Estee Lauder. My studio fix has so much transfer. I can't hug anyone or where a shirt that comes to high up when wearing it. But the Estee Lauder just stays in place and looks beautiful all day.

Estee Lauder is the way to go. Once I tried it I could not go for any other type. Quite expensive but really worth it.

I am an Este woman and have been using this makeup for 40 years.
I have both of these foundations. I prefer the Estee Lauder over Mac. I find that the Mac oxidizes on me so I have to mix with a lighter foundation to make it work. What's the best way to apply the Estee Lauder..brush or beauty blender?
Carla McMillan I prefer Estée Lauder also. For the most natural look, I use a sponge. You can sheer it out. Most people use way more foundation than needed which makes it looks heavy and cakey.
I find that finger tips work best for me. Afterwards I pat using using a sponge. With fingers I use very little product

I love Double wear foundation - shame you have to purchase the pump separately.
If you want Mac to last you need a prime.... It can even go for 17 hours. I can use it in the morning and will stay on till late at night. Everyone asks me how I do it. Now I m living in Malawi I doubt the authenticity of Mac here, I would love to try Estgee... Thank you for the review.

Nina3t mix your foundation with some of your moisturiser or a good primer
I put a little on my fingers, ruby my fingers together to warm it up, and then apply to my face like lotion. Then I go over it with lightly with a damp sponge. It’s more sheer, looks more dewy, and still lasts all day. That’s how I wear DW on an everyday basis. On special occasions, when I want fuller coverage, I apply it the way everyone else does (over a good moisturizer with a damp sponge) and it’s still beautiful. It’s my favorite foundation.

What pump do you use for the double wear. I use to buy a pump from clinique for 2 dollars but they stopoed selling.

Hi quick question...NC45 is too warm for me while NC44 is not warm enough. Which one would you suggest I get? I don't have access to NC 44.5. I own Deep Golden in Skin Finish, which is also too dark.

You are totally right my friend, i used Estee lauder in my wedding and is not just the lasting who is absolutely incredible but the fact that it behaves even better trough the ours!! And another thing maybe you forgot to mention is that is one of the best foundation ever for photography. Not obstantly, i can not use it as much as i love, because since i began to use it some little white irregular texture appear in my skin, i still have them, i visit the doctor and they can not do anything about 😞so i think if that happen to me, could be it happen to other people as well, everything i start to use it regular 1 little white face pimple appears, and it never goes away😔so maybe my experience helps others to take care… just in case🙏🏻
