"Our calculations are getting better! We believe we have NOT miscalculated this time." ...you're a bit too late considering Epsilon already has the majority of the planet under its rule already.
Only Speeder can be expected to interact with the fanbase's memes through mission strings, whilst still keeping it professional. Absolutely genious! One question though. We're two thirds into Act Two, and Yuri is still using old-ass Beacons and Amplifiers for mind-control, and the Dominator is yet to make an appearance. Why is that?
Because the Dominator does not do what the Amplifier does. In MO it's the equivalent to a Tactical Nuke Silo or Weather Controller, not a city/country destroyer like the MIDAS bomb or Psychic Amplifier.
I've always found it weird that the Dominator was used in the vanilla campaign as a device that mind-controls everyone in a city-sized cirlce. Which is what a Beacon does. What was the point of having two devices that do the absolutely same thing?! Whilst in-game, it was capable of structure destruction and only minimal mind-control. I'm assuming you've changed that then, and made it a base-smiting weapon instead of a redundant building. Kudos.
To be fair about the Psychic Dominator in Yuri's Revenge, time-travelling to the past and Einstein sabotaging it (in the Allied campaign) might have a lot to do with its reduced power. Its ability to mind-control large sections of the planet was never mentioned after the first mission.
Did anyone else expect Yuri to use the Psychic Dominator, after the PSI Amplifier was destroyed? I thought the Allies were going to fall for the same trick again.
Recently, when I open MO (latest version) it won't open and it says that the DTA client stopped working. Ive tried re-installing the game and the mod. Any other solutions? This had been occuring for quite a while
As far as I'm concerned the passenger of mind controlled vehicle is still considered alive and YOURS, so while technically you lose Tanya, the game thinks you still have her. If you ever got your Tanya IFV mind controlled or hijacked in skirmish or multiplayer game, you can't train a new one until you destroy that IFV and kill Tanya in the process. So I think nothing will happen, you'll just have to either avoid or destroy it (very high chance to lose Tanya that way).
Roman just Roman or you kill whatever mind controlled the IFV. In Singularity (E11) if you force (by ctrl) mind control the Virus, you fail the mission even though both the PsiCorps Trooper and the Virus are fully functional. I think it's pretty similar to this, Tanya is perfectly fine but for the time being you can't control both at once, which I think is how the game's engine (or whatever) checks if the critical units are alive. And that returns, of course, as negative. That's why I asked it, but your logic was also sensible; you can't get a second Tanya while you can't control the other, so the game actually knows it's alive. Good point, but I'm still not sure.
Virus is a different thing. She is on her own, not inside of a vehicle, so when you mind control her, it is Virus who gets controlled. You lose the mission because (I think) Virus switches team to that of PC trooper, and since the game checks whether team virus is stillalive, it can't confirm it being alive and therefore presumes it dead. Passengers of transports is another thing: they don't change ownership inside the transport, they keep it when you destroy the transport. So I see no reason why losing Tanya IFV to mind control would fail the mission.
Wouldn't be surprised if that were the case. Perhaps Yuri has something, maybe a brain chip? Understandably elite units such as the epsilon psychics are immune without such things.
Patch 3.3.2 with this and many other new maps will be out this week at mentalomega.com
I can wait until I death.
Oh great
It has always been sad in my eyes that basic defensive buildings can't shoot over sandbags

Because the Dominator does not do what the Amplifier does. In MO it's the equivalent to a Tactical Nuke Silo or Weather Controller, not a city/country destroyer like the MIDAS bomb or Psychic Amplifier.
So in essence the Dominator has been nerfed in contrast to its counterpart from the vanilla games?
I've always found it weird that the Dominator was used in the vanilla campaign as a device that mind-controls everyone in a city-sized cirlce. Which is what a Beacon does. 8:26 left up GI and ?
Focus K CIA
23:52 feels like heaven :)
Tanya and Norio haven't an easy job,to fight against whole armies
8.29 Bane?
Plane goes nuts @ 9:00
What happens if you miss the 60s mark? Do they nuke Tanya?
You fail.
Paradrop Plane still goes nuts...
What's the cause for that bug anyway? I noticed it in RA2 too.
Did anyone else expect Yuri to use the Psychic Dominator, after the PSI Amplifier was destroyed?
I thought the Allies were going to fall for the same trick again.
If this were in first person, it would be so crazy and weird it would be awesome, which it already is.
A 2.0 Remake but this time, Tanya and Norio will clear the skies and grounds.
About time.
Not enough drones
That's a really good point actually..
MentalΩSpeeder I was joking please no
It's not TOO bad since Tanya and Norio can waste them quickly....
Whenever I see drones I get flashbacks of Singularity 3.0 so no thank you
Recently, when I open MO (latest version) it won't open and it says that the DTA client stopped working. Ive tried re-installing the game and the mod. Any other solutions?
This had been occuring for quite a while
Amr Gasser already tried..
Where can I find that version of Destiny in the end of the video? I'm interested.
they got the same color?
is there will be missions for Foehn? (in 3.3.2?)
This mission looks easier than what we faced in 2.0...I was able to win it in 2.0 on hard difficulty after maybe 200 tries...X_X
What if Tanya IFV gets mind controlled? Mission failed?
As far as I'm concerned the passenger of mind controlled vehicle is still considered alive and YOURS, so while technically you lose Tanya, the game thinks you still have her. Apparently you don't lose the mission if only Tanya or Norio die.
But what about the amplifier from 'Fire Walking'? Shouldn't everyone on the American continent be under Soviet control?
MooseBlanket The soviet destroyed it, not captured it
Cesare Di Maio No, they captured the Amplifier, but its range only covers the North America, and Epsilon forces are probably immune to it.
Wouldn't be surprised if that were the case. Perhaps Yuri has something, maybe a brain chip?
Understandably elite units such as the epsilon psychics are immune without such things.
Immune or not, the Chicago Amplifier can't reach Brasil.
But in Act 1 they said an amplifier could affect the entire hemisphere.
oh, i thought it already out

WHY ITS NOT POSSIBLE TO SAVE FUKKING MENTAL OMEGA??? IM NOT THE ONE WHO WANT THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dominik Thattendorfer Because Ares does weird things with saves.
The price of innovation, I suppose.
mh. what is weird? whats the problem?
Dominik Thattendorfer It's simply incompatible, which in of itself is weird.
RockmariomkiZX because Ares is pro player? Is it his decision?
Dominik Thattendorfer No, Ares is the set of tools used for Mental Omega's advanced features. Kinda like Npatch from back in the day.
early!!
