What a great video, and thank you sharing. I have used kerasoy 4130 for container candles, any wax left I've poured into moulds for melts - BUT, would that be why I don't have the same shine finish as the 4120 container wax would be better? Can I ask, do you add your fragrance oil and then pour pretty quickly after adding at 60 degrees?
The 4130 will be a softer wax than the 4120 which is not ideal for wax melts as the edges can become damaged easier. 4120 is a harder wax and will have a better finish than a softer wax so i would suggest to use 4120 for your wax melts yes. If you go on Rustic Barn Candles website Www.rusticbarncandles.co.uk i sell the wax i use. Avoid amazon and ebay as there are people selling wax that the ad says is 4120 but it is definitely not 4120. Try and buy from a genuine supplies store where you can do. How quickly you pour depends how much wax you have melted. If just 200g of wax melted, it will go harder alot quicker than 500g of wax for example. Hope that makes sense
@@movietrailers2671 Thank you for replying so quickly, gosh that's rare, and thank you too for sharing your knowledge - that's hugely helpful. I'll go over to your website today and check out the 4120 and thank you again - really appreciated.
Such a great video! I’m currently practising with ecosoya wax melt. How is the scent throw (hot throw) with your wax. I’m from the U.K. and looking to buy from your website.
Hi and thank you. So i use 4120 wax because in my opinion its the best soy wax for wax melts. The scent throw is really good BUT remember, the smell of the scent can only ever be as good as the fragrance oils used in your wax. Defo ise a Premium fragrance oil to help your melts smell strong and stand out above the crowd of wax melt makers. Have a look at my fragrance oils, i only stock premium grade fragrance oils top :) Best regards
I love it. So i use kerasoy 4120 for my wax melts which is amazing in my opinion. That's the only wax i sell on my website as it just works so well for them and pillar candle but not container candles as has the wrong additives.
Hi hun I’ve used eco soy wax as it was all I could purchase atm. What is the best way to use this up please. I used used in clamshells and moulds and it sticks and breaks as you. Say. Gonna change to your wax because my scent throw is rubbish.
Hi sorry to jump on I did exactly the same my bars were breaking so I ordered kerosoy pillar blend and mixed with with the eco soy and it worked 💪 so I didn't waste the eco soy x
Hi I’ve been following your videos on here which I have found really helpful. I’m new to wax melt making and have been having issues when pouring. Sometimes the consistency of the wax goes really thick when pouring into the moulds right towards the end. I use kerasoy wax. I am adding fragrance at the right temperature. I just don’t know where im going wrong? 😞
Hiya, thanks for following So your issue will be because you are not melting enough wax at once. If you are just melting 100g of wax this will cool down quickly. Try melting 300g of wax and it will cool down alot slower and give you more time to pour.
Hi, it is possible. You would have to use a natural wax maybe even a coconut wax in this case. You would need to check the IFRA sheets for each fragrance oil and only use the skin safe limits which is about 0.1% to 2%. Is a very small amount of fragrance oil.
@@jessecayoung2121 hi, you can use either type but just have to stay inline with the IFRA percentage guidelines. I am just finishing uploading my IFRA documents to my own fragrance oils now on my website under each oils page :)
Hi, thank you. It's a really good wax for making wax melts. With regards to your other wax you can mix it with this new wax to use it up. Maybe at a mix of 20% old wax to 80% new wax.
Hello! Just tried Kerax pillar soy wax, 4120, and sorry, but I can't say it's a hard wax. All my melts are soft and creamy. And the melts that have all kind of shapes like wings are coming out bad. So, if this is hard... Idk. Poured between 53-60°C with heated molds, and room temperature at 29°C. Cold trow good, I bet Ht as well, but still having a little bit a frosting and every mold is soft.

@@lastrovi hi Lu, the 4120 wax is only manufactured in the UK. Im not sure if the company exports abroad, im sure they do to some places but i doubt to america. The difference between soy wax and a soy pillar wax is that the soy pillar wax has an additive in it to make it harder. You can add a hardener to it if you can't buy ready mixed pillar wax. Hope that helps.
