War Room Desk Tour - A Behind The Scenes Look At My Work Space - Inside The Urban Gentry

- Every gentleman should have a part of the home to call their own. Many have "man caves", games rooms or even an automotive workshop perhaps. Whatever form and function this space takes, what is important it should be a fun place where you can go to focus on the things you love. For the last two years my space has affectionately become known as "the war room". It is where I work, study, film vlogs and get creative. To ensure inspiration is sparked, I have filled it with many items I collect and hold dear to my heart. In this episode I talk about my many collections, from movies to watches and unveil a newest addition to my King & Country die cast collection.

"Binoculars to spy on people out the window" LOL😂
I immediately liked him. He was a bit of a softy, but a true gentleman!
"I always go for Ikea stuff, because my money is tied up in watches."
LOL, so true!!!
Thank you Edward,
Best regards,
TGV
+TGV, film collection review gets my vote , thanks for your "man cave" tour .
i love your channel and your personality. keep up the good work!
Thank you so much, I will indeed :d
Best regards,
TGV
What do you think of the Brathwait watches?
Do one about your books!
I would love to!!!
Excellent idea,
Thank you,
Best regards,
TGV
I like to read books on things like this in a hierarchical way. First, a historical book up to the 20th Century, when the wristwatch was (invented,) then one about basic clock or watch construction, then back to the modern history of things (the 20th Century and the future of horology) then whatever fancy's you- specifics, modding, collecting, appraising, specific brands, etc. Cheers
squeaking sound of that cabinet is so oddly satisfying
Totally agree!!!
Thank you EDCG,
Best regards,
TGV
Recently found this channel and subscribed. Love the "hello from Hugo" gag.
You seem to be a kid at heart. That's awesome!
My family - wife, two daughters (11 and 14) and myself - is moving to a new apartment this September. It is equipped with a second, separate WC. That will be my personal war room. Thanks again for a brilliant channel, TGV. Keep up the good work.
One of my fave videos. The conversation, the wtaches, the passion in shooting the breeze - loved it.
Thanks for all your interesting videos! Greetings from Germany

My favorite is your 10 Motivation Life-Hacks Video, I often use this when I feel lazy, and this inspires me to get up and get stuff done. By far my favorite youtube channel!
That just made my day. I am extremely thankful and flattered to hear that.
Thank you sir! Onwards and upwards!

You are the most bizarre man ever. Looking through your room, I'd have no idea what you'd be interested in!! You're so bloody wonky!! Keep up the good work governor.

Top 5 Movies by TGV would be fun.
Love the idea, very difficult to decide my top 5, I will be thinking about it all night now!
Thank you Jedidiah,
Best regards,
TGV
I like Jedidiah's idea. Why not do your top 5 with the caveat to also include 3 more that came close and are worth mentioning. With this... you will have some room to include close contenders that you can't really decide.
If it is difficult to nail it down to 5, make your top 10 essential movies every gentleman should see by TGV.
Great video! Your desk and all of your bits and bobs remind me so much of my grandfathers office. Looking forward to getting my new space up and running and definitely taking some inspiration from yours!
great tour Tristano, a very interesting space. love the squeak on that display Cabinet!
Thank you Brian, I hope you are well :D
Best regards,
TGV
Hi TGV,
Great video. Interesting to see the layout of your office. I agree it should be place where you have items that reflect your personality and tastes and inspire you as much as surrounding yourself with resources pertaining to work. Whether one works from home or in the workplace of an organisation. Particularly when one considers how much time is spent in the office these days - they have literally become second homes.
Funny, I have that exact same samurai armour in my office.
Thank you for the wonderful tour. Best wishes mate.🙋
This was actually cool! More of this please! =D
Great performance! Thanks for sharing!
loved it... your king & country collection is growing nicely. of course we would enjoy review of your movie collection
Great video, glad I could catch it this early!
Thank you Blake :D
Best regards,
TGV
Love the style of your videos, very enjoyable! Great work!
Yes please do a collection review of your movies. Of course the main topic of these watches but it's always nice to talk about other gentry subjects. Would very much like to know your experience when you lived in Barcelona, Firenze and London and all of the other places you visited, since I love travelling.
Great episode Tristano, keep up the good work!
I'm glad you did this video, for two reasons: First, I've always wondered what the stories are behind so much of your goodies I keep catching glimpses of, and second, when you're not reviewing gorgeous, high end watches, my impending divorce and bankruptcy is put off for a little longer. Wife doesn't get the watch addiction!
I really enjoy your videos! Interesting and super useful information. Keep it going! Greetings from HOUSTON TEXAS!!
Haha funny I was just thinking about this the other day. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you James, great minds obviously ;-)

If I can ask, why the stone island badge on the cork board?
Kind regards
Tom
Of course, One of the jumpers I had was too big for me so I gave it to a friend as he loved it, he did not want the badge so I kept it as a spare.
Thank you,

TGV

PD: I always have fun trying to find out witch art pieces are shown on your computer screens.
my man! i have to say this is a fantastically weird room,
best regards sebastian!
Closing in on 100k subscribers, you will have that UA-cam play button in no time.
Whats your opinion on victorianox watches? In particular the Infrantryman mesh strap, wondering if you know of any watches with a similar aesthetic of that watch as victorianox has stopped making them.
Thanks for the quick tour TVG. I have recently become enamored with the Grandfather Clocks at my local clock shop, but most are 8,000 or more. I have seen quite a few vintage wall clocks on ebay though that are affordable. even some with beautiful moon phase on clock face. unfortunately i know nothing about these clocks. so question would be is it possible to see a video showcasing some of these type of wall clocks and what to look for.Just another thing to add to your list i know lol.
Hey! Ive heard that its bad to have watches so near the computer, is that true? Cus I always thought the magnetic field generated would mess with the accuracy, so I always ensured my watches are at least some distance away.
Love your collection of scaled models, especially the tanks. I went through a phase of building the 1:350 battleship kits but didn't have room for a big glass cabinet to display them. So... they sat on my shelf aggressively harvesting dust. Removing dust off the decks of battleships is so much more painful than that of an aircraft carrier.
It will be great to have your review of your DVD collection too.
Great video insight TGV. Yes please to do a movie collection and what your favs are please 👍 keep up the good work.
That intro is a work of art!
Which watch was that at 11:35 with the mustard strap? (4th? From the right) Very much like the combination of both, if the strap is separate though, where is that from too?
Love your videos by the way!
Nice Tanks brings a nice feel to the space area.
Thank you Samuel, so glad you like them.
Best regards,
TGV
Hi TGV,
Quick question,
what's your personal opinion on The omega speedmaster Apollo 11- 40th anniversary edition watch?
TGV what was the name of your family estate ?

Hey Tristiano, have you considered Parallels Desktop for using windows software on your mac? It's quite convenient
Sure! Movies, Books, all sounds good!
