They didn't need it because the body of the car produced so much downforce. So they could just remove it to reduce the drag and be quicker on the straights
I miss Grand Prix racing and Grand Prix Drivers Formula 1 today is as boring as I don’t know I can’t find the right words just plain boring
And cars are hideous!
Boring doesn't even come close, no character in the drivers or the cars. F1 is just awful nowadays
