I miss the sound of these formula 1 days. Nowadays they soud like modified vacuum cleaners. But still i am happy to be witness of the screaming engines back then .
What I really liked in those days is this nervous behavour of the cars even on the straight. This gives much more a feeling of high speed and high risk what is the true fascination of motor sports. For saftey reasons though it was horrible. The scene where they take away the stranded car and they go on with full speed, nowadays not possible and this is good so, as just a little thing have to go wrong and you end up in a desaster!
Senna, Prost, Piquet, Mansell, K.Rosberg, Lauda, Berger... amazing personalities that are missing from today's F1. It's all too sterile and boring now. Kimi and Alonso were the last old school racing drivers.
Senna grabbing that first turn lead, the high rev whine of the engines, flying through a forest, the sparks flying from the titanium skid plates as the cars bottom on the bumps this was F1. Damn I miss that!
That’s Gerhard Berger in the Ferrari taking the lead into the first turn, up from fourth on the grid. Senna’s McLaren re-passed approaching the first chicane.

Jeez, the speed Mansell hit that chicane at the end, halved the gap to Berger, frightening
He absolutely abused that chicane, treated it like it owed him money. What a maniac. 😂

The best track, the best sound, Golden Era.
Simple and characteristic car design, overtake without DRS, the era when modern F1 should learn from this.
"overtake without DRS" Which usually meant barley any overtaking at all.

Absolutly .
Before the corporate machine had sucked all of the life and soul out of the party/world. Those were the days.

Mansell simply tapped with white tape the Marlboro branding on his helmet rather than using a new one.

Very good. Great to see and hear just the machines on the circuit, similar to if we were there. No commentator, no narration. Thanks for sharing.
The cars weighed much less those days because the drivers had an extra 100kg of balls to carry around the track. No driving aids, just pure skills.
Bit strange to see painted concrete blocks as barriers at the chicanes, different times.....
