Such a fantastic interview. David and Madonna has always had great chemistry. Her sense is humor is contagious! She was so comfortable and in great mood here. What a great era! Can’t wait to see you reacting to the Confessions Tour. 🫶🏻 🪩 💃🏽 🕺🏼
"David and Madonna has always had great chemistry. Her sense is humor is contagious! She was so comfortable and in great mood here." Absolutely - Their banter is so much fun! ❤️❤️
I was hoping you would get to this one. I love Madonna with David Letterman. Talk about reckless, she was literally asked to stay off of horses, and here she is jumping on a horse, not one of her own, in heels. 😆 I believe this is her last interview with David Letterman. Then we move onto Jimmy Fallon interviews. These ones are really fun. 🤩 Can’t wait to see what you post next. I won’t expect anything… surprise me again. Have a lovely day. 🪩 💞
You’ll notice they always reference their infamous 1994 interview. I’d recommend watching that one but she said fcuk 23 times. I don’t think UA-cam would let that be uploaded 😂
Personally, i loved her Lady of the Manor period (lots of fans don't as it directly came about because of her marriage to Guy Ritchie) Ashcombe House has a pretty cool history in that it was the home of Cecil Beaton in the 1930/40s. He was an artist/photographer/designer probably most famous for the costumes he designed for My Fair Lady. He took many portraits of the royal family and was a close friend to the Queen Mother. He entertained lavishly at Ashcombe, hosting everyone from Tallulah Bankhead to Salvador Dali. He kept diaries all his life...they are a fun, gossipy read! Guy got Ashcombe in the divorce and i believe he still owns it.
Madonna mentioned that she believes Beaton's ghost was in the house. I don't like Ritchie. He is possibly the least authentic human she's ever been associated with, and that's saying something after Vanilla Ice. Little posh brat pretending to be some hard-nut from my manor, poncing off a woman and publicly humiliating her at every chance. GGgrrrrrrrr

Madonna’s 9 guest appearances in the David Letterman show from 1988-2009 have been fascinating and memorable. She first appeared in this show with comedienne and her then friend Sandra Bernhard in 1988 when the show was still with NBC. Letterman moved to CBS in 1993 and he hosted the show there until he retired in 2015. Her 2nd appearance in March 31, 1994 elicited a ratings bonanza for the show when Madonna and Letterman in a spirited exchange of barbs and wit when she freely used the f-word that riled up critics and conservative viewers. I thought it was hilarious. She made 2 other brief appearances in 1995 and 1998. Her remaining 5 appearances were all sit-down interviews beginning in November 2000 to promote her Music album, where she performed Don’t Tell Me To Stop with her acoustic guitar (it’s the only time she sang a number in this show). This appearance you’re reacting to here was her 7th in October 2005 when she was promoting her COADF album. Her 9th and last appearance was in September 2009 when she was promoting her 3rd greatest hits compilation album-Celebration. Her grand entrance and ending to this final appearance was so memorable. Amazingly, despite a rocky start to their interaction on tv, they eventually learned to appreciate and respect each other’s wit and humor, and they really became friends, and were both having an enjoyable time and great chemistry whenever she guested on his show to the delight of their fans/audience. Very glad you covered this video. ❤your reaction. Thank you for this Madonna journey.😊💙
Hi Emily & Brenda, This was a fun episode to watch along with both of you. I'm hoping that you will eventually be able to post your Confessions tour reaction.👍 If you can't post, you still might want to start the next era for Hard Candy. It's very different in contrast to the last few eras. I'm curious to see what you ladies think of the music & Sticky & Sweet Tour. Anyway, I hope you had a good Halloween. 👻 🎃
Although it would mean going back in time I would love to see the reaction to the interview Madonna was doing when Courtney Love crashed it- it's iconic viewing 😅
Great reaction and love all her interviews, I think after this one there is only one more time she was on the show, before he retired. Really hope you react to that one as well and all I’ll say is, you’ll love her entrance.😂
I noticed you skipped her children’s book author phase (not mad about it 😅). And I know you are just covering her music career, not her other endeavours. She did tons of interviews about The English Roses and her other books, plus she voiced a character in that animated movie Arthur and the Invisibles (which barely anyone watched). Honestly, I loved her GMA interview for it, even though it was back in 2004. Then came the Confessions Tour in 2006-her music was on fire, still super popular. I remember listening to that album on my walks to uni during those cold, dark winters in Western Europe, so it’s always got this moody, winter vibe for me. After that, she went big into her Malawi philanthropy, which was huge in the news. People had mixed reactions and there were lots of interviews and a documentary too. Musically, though, it was Hard Candy in 2008. But let’s not forget her great 2007 Live Earth concert in London! She performed with Gogol Bordello, that gypsy-punk band. That set up her next tour, the Sticky & Sweet Tour in 2008/2009.
I’m glad you’re taking in all the “Horse” stuff because it’s a major focus in the tour.
Omg I've never sent this! Hilarious!!! I love their chemistry.
Love the chemistry between these two ❤❤

Well, that’s what editing is for, you just beep out the F word, but yes, they definitely should watch.
We'll definitely have to check that one out when we revisit that era again - Sounds like the mute button will be used frequently! 😂
Big hugs ❤️❤️

Yeah, that and the Pub & cash total $90million, why she didn’t have an ironclad prenup is beyond me.😮

Madonna has such a very recognizable voice even now at 66
Madonna and David are always iconic together. Loved your reaction ❤

Small side-note: Madonna is wearing custom mink false eyelashes adorned with .75 carats of hand cut diamonds and worth $10,000 for the pair!!

It’s having issues for it to be watchable for us
