My understanding is the escape parameter allows the particles to continue on their own path somewhat if their velocity is above the escape value. Also I didn't see you changing the original emission speed from the emitter settings, which would affect how acutely and immediately they move toward the magic object.
Hello can you do a tute on doing flocking or a swarm of anything, using the method you showed in this vid. I've been trying but i can't get the orientation to face the direction of the movement. Also can't get the particles to not be so close. I tried less particles but still they are to close. Thanks hope you can help.
to get the particles to be further apart reduce the resolution of the fluid, as for the flocking, check out this tutorial i did about a plugin, you may not need Realflow :D ua-cam.com/video/CdQzNyK5W7w/v-deo.html
DIGITAL MEAT, Thank you so much for the help, the the process worked perfectly! If you ever get a chance with your busy schedule check us out @moreram3d on instagram we will be redoing our UA-cam page very soon also. Maybe one day we can collaborate on some 3D work together. But thanks again for taking the time to respond & help. Jay freelance 3D artist @ MoreRam 3D
I mainly use physical render for my tutorials because everyone who has cinema 4d has it, as far as i'm aware octane should work with a student version of Cinema 4D but your best bet is to contact Otoy and ask. home.otoy.com/

No problem buddy, cheers for the link :D
Do you use another render engine other than physical sometimes? I got the student version of cinema4d, i'm wondering if i can use octane with it
