I found this way more dewy than the original universal tinted moisturizer. Far too glowy for my combination skin. Wanted to love this so much. I'll just use it for my neck instead.

OMG, Meyerland! My old neighborhood. Until age 12, I grew up in the Woodland Heights (just SE of the Heights). Then we moved to Westbury and Meyerland was our closest Mall. Of course it looked much different then. Liked the shorts so much. Love and hugs.
I’ve never ordered a product so fast! Thank you for the tinted sunscreen recommendation- I just moved to a very humid, windy and sunny environment at the beach, and had the dilemma of finding a tinted sunscreen that doesn’t feel like oil on my face - problem solved!
Follow up - I love at the beach and I’m at the ocean and fish a lot. I have a medium skin tone and yes, it has a light cast. I found that putting a light dusting of tinted SPF face powder brings it back down a shade or two, and that’s fine

Skinny jeans doesn't flatter my leg shape, too. So I never wore them. I wasn't "in style " with my straight/flared jeans, but I looked better in them and therefore I felt more comfortable :)
For ball massage, I use la crosse balls (from the sporting goods store, I don't bother looking for those marketed to massage) and tune up fitness balls of different sizes. The la crosse balls don't soften but the tune up fitness balls do.
Foam rolling changed my life😅 I used to have such soar muscles from running. The first a couple of times you cry while rolling😂 BUT it is just in the beginning. I use the Blackroll brand my physio suggested.
I LOVE Dr. Bronners. I’ve been using it to wash my body & remove my mascara for 10 years. I swear by it, it’s all I use. I only moisturize like once a week & I’ve never been particularly dry. The only body moisturizer I use is coconut oil. Works like a charm! My favorite one is the baby unscented.
I tried it and unfortunately it highlights my dry patches and there was a slight cast. I love their combo sunscreen but it leaves my skin looking greasy .😌 I’ll try Colorscience when it’s back in stock. Thanks Dr. Dray😊

But that doesn't mean we can't make changes in our own lives, because it also shows those corporations what we want to be seeing, rather than increasing our carbon footprint by demanding new items be produced (and the footprint of said items). It also promotes a more circular economy. Yes, it's very small compared to oil companies' bad practices and deforestation, but companies will (or at least should) respond to consumer action.

A single individual stepping back from this and choosing to buy used clothing won't change the game. However, there is a growing trend towards choosing to buy thrifted clothes and/or encouraging local carbon-neutral companies. The more widespread this shift in mentality is, the more likely we are to see a factual change. Obviously there are other issues that weigh more in the environmental scale and need to be addressed, many out of the average individual's influence. However, it would be a fallacy of relative privation to dismiss the issues associated with fast fashion on the basis that there are worst/larger issues out there.
Finally a physical water resistant sunscreen!!!! Especially for life in HTown. As soon as I walk outside my face feels wet and reapplying sunscreen can be a full time job.
I did purchase this sunscreen after watching the video and I would say it’s great for normal skin, but on my oily skin it was somewhat disastrous. I’ll use it up-I use my rejected sunscreens when I walk the dog or work out outside, but I couldn’t use this day to day. I still think the Elta MD UV Physical is the best all mineral sunscreen for oily skin that doesn’t have a heavy, matte, silicone-y feeling. It’s not mattifying, it’s neutral. The Drmtlgy sunscreen is glowy and wet, the tint is very warm/orangey.
I like the Drmtlgy sunscreens but they sting my eyes like crazy & they do have a weird scent that does fade. The color of this looks nice on Dr. Dray! I’m gonna try it.
Chemical-based sunscreens will generally sting. Since this is all mineral-based it *should* likely be fine for you. I use the Austrialian Gold mineral tinted matte one and it doesn't sting the eyes at all.
Well - can’t tag you! But if you see this message Andrea, here is my question: do you like this one or the Color Science one better? The CS makes my eyes tear. Actually just spoke to my ophthalmologist mom about this five minutes ago and she was like, “too bad” so I guess sunscreen wins. But I do notice that even the mineral ones make my eyes tear which is super annoying. Thank you. Edit again: try putting the massage ball thing in a sock, much easier to move it around and put it where you need it.
I really wanted to try this brand, but the Octinoxate in their Anti-Aging SPF 45 version is irritating for me. I was so excited when it said "Zinc Oxide" in the title initially! Drmtlgy universal tint is my holy grail. Perfect for me. Small amount of coverage, not orange on my medium skin tone, and holds back my oily skin all day when I use a little bit of face powder. It goes on shiny but it settles in with powder. Thank you dr for recommending this one in a prior video.
I have a question, is it okay to leave sunscreen in a hot car? I’m thinking it’s okay because you leave it in a bag if you take it to the beach.🤷♀️ I failed to mention my concern is, if it gets hot does that break down effectiveness? That seems stupid because it’s made for hot weather. But I’m so programmed to protect my skincare!
You can put sunscreen (and other skincare) in an insulated lunch box with an ice pack in it. Or even one of those vacuum sealed water bottles that keeps water cold.
The only trouble with shortening a flared jean is you lose a good portion of the flare. It all depends on how much you have to shorten it. They end up looking like a pair of boot cuts.
Every single time I've had jeans profesionally shortened, they go too short, even when I've said to them this usually happens and asked for a little extra to remain. And slightly high water flares look ridiculous. 😂
Not a fan of the physical sunscreen. The tint was too dark for me and it is hard to wash off even when using oil. It also feels gross when you reapply. I personally prefer the Universal Tint sunscreen better.
Ordered the new sunscreen! It is so sad to go into a mall these days. Nordstrom has definitely gone down hill in terms of their customer service! Of course they started at a higher level so they are still better than most places. It is a personal goal of mine to try to go back to more in person shopping this year! Our Nordys stopped carrying petite clothing so I don’t shop the sale as much.

Ordered both yesterday, was meaning to try for the longest while, but found it too expensive for 1.7 oz. of product. Great. I have very sensitive skin with mild rosacea and was recommended to use Castille soap! I’ve been using it a couple weeks on my face and seems okay. Cleansers just seem to have so many multi-syllabic ingredients I thought going simple would be better. There’s so much contradictory information about skin care it boggles my mind.
I'm glad I ordered DMTRGY all mineral. The universal tint one I think reformirated or repackaged or something, it's not available anymore in the same packaging anymore. I ordered both. And I ordered skin science one too - I like them so far.

I don't try to kid myself (or others) that only using "natural skincare products" makes me more of a "natural beauty". Natural is not necessarily better. I'll take it anyway it comes, as long as it works, it's safe and preferably reasonably priced. Cruelty free and recyclable packaging is also a bonus. 👱♀️❤
Retail employees only work on commission in places like Saks fifth ave, Bloomingdales, etc, so there’s an incentive, other “normal” places pay minimum wage most of the time so the employees don’t care/are too tired to perform accordingly.
Dr. Dray, find a good tailor near you. There are many in the Houston area, and some of the best are cheap! Don't deny yourself a great pair of jeans just because they're too long.
I agree! A good alteration service will still give you the jean-style hem, using the same colour, heavy duty jeans thread. (Not the embarassing "Mum who can't sew" hem). I sometimes buy clothing in the kid's department, so that the arm & leg length is right. I haven't tried girl's jeans though, because I'm an hourglass body type. I buy Dannii Minogue Petites jeans. The Fila girl's activewear is good for me. 👱♀️❤
I used Dr. Bronner's fragrance-free/baby liquid castile soap to wash my fabric masks. It worked very well and didn't leave any scent on my masks. However as you say, it is very drying on the skin. I would never use it to wash my face or in the shower, I'd dry up like a dead leaf. :-(
Has anyone had a problem with this sunscreen being incredibly shiny and greasy? I don’t have oily skin but it looks extremely wet on my face even after a half an hour
Like listening to Dr Dray’s videos so was excited to see the caption about matte finish. I really can’t agree with that. I just don’t want to try this if it’s going to look that shiny.

@Abc Def it's her "super light daily wrinkle defense SPF 30". Anti aging and Spf in one. It's awesome. I'm pretty pale and the colour is just a light beige. It doesn't really give you coverage, but for me it's just enough to slightly even out my skin tone.
I was at the REI store in nyc the other day. The salespeople were noticeably numerous and just as attentive as years before. (I want to say one of them veered towards "over-attentive" but then i did end up buying her suggested color for... a UPF 50 hoodie!) Here in the ny metro area there's kind of a vibe of everyone almost *trying* to return things to pre-pandemic normal. As for the death of traditional retail - though we've been noting that for years now, until technology like VR becomes much more faithful to the real sensory experience of shopping, and all stores integrate their inventory control and fulfillment with customer communication (there are types of products out there that complicate online selling) i think there'll be enough customers who still need to do some of that in person.
Retail is such a hard job and retail employees are not treated fairly. I think malls are definitely on their way out. The economy is so unpredictable right now. I work for a popular e-commerce company (not Amazon) and online orders are dead...
doc you should try garniers new sunscreen line. my favourite is the niacina b pore perfecting cream. its beautiful, no white cast, fragrance free, and a satin matte finish!
I have knee issues & leg issues (disability). I love boot-cut jeans. The only pants that work for me. Levi's always has still had them, or Wrangler. I know, I like to get my jeans from "regular" places as well. Those "skinny" jeans were popular when I was 16 (I'm 48/49 now) and it was the 80/90s then. They were just not called "skinny". It was the jean of the times. I still have no clue why *anyone* would want to go back to that decade pants-wise. No clue! None. LOL And look at how long they've been around now. Hate it!
Check their website for the jeans!! They carry short and if they don’t fit you can return at the store. You can also save on shipping if you ask them at the counter to order for you.

In another video she mentioned that it does reduce the effectiveness of the product, so you should protect it from the sun and hot storage conditions.

Ordered both yesterday, was meaning to try for the longest while, but found it too expensive for 1.7 oz. of product. Great. I have very sensitive skin with mild rosacea and was recommended to use Castille soap! I’ve been using it a couple weeks on my face and seems okay. Cleansers just seem to have so many multi-syllabic ingredients I thought going simple would be better. There’s so much contradictory information about skin care it boggles my mind.

I'm glad I ordered DMTRGY all mineral. The universal tint one I think reformirated or repackaged or something, it's not available anymore in the same packaging anymore. I ordered both. And I ordered skin science one too - I like them so far.

Could you do a video about it? I think it will be very helpful for people who can't figure out what's causing the discoloration on their skin!
I know many people say alcohol is bad for the skin but apparently that's the quickest way to get rid of it.

I don't try to kid myself (or others) that only using "natural skincare products" makes me more of a "natural beauty". Natural is not necessarily better. I'll take it anyway it comes, as long as it works, it's safe and preferably reasonably priced. Cruelty free and recyclable packaging is also a bonus.

Retail employees only work on commission in places like Saks fifth ave, Bloomingdales, etc, so there’s an incentive, other “normal” places pay minimum wage most of the time so the employees don’t care/are too tired to perform accordingly.

Dr. Dray, find a good tailor near you. There are many in the Houston area, and some of the best are cheap! Don't deny yourself a great pair of jeans just because they're too long.
I agree! A good alteration service will still give you the jean-style hem, using the same colour, heavy duty jeans thread. (Not the embarassing "Mum who can't sew" hem).
I sometimes buy clothing in the kid's department, so that the arm & leg length is right. I haven't tried girl's jeans though, because I'm an hourglass body type. I buy Dannii Minogue Petites jeans. The Fila girl's activewear is good for me.

I used Dr. Bronner's fragrance-free/baby liquid castile soap to wash my fabric masks. It worked very well and didn't leave any scent on my masks. However as you say, it is very drying on the skin. I would never use it to wash my face or in the shower, I'd dry up like a dead leaf. :-(
Has anyone had a problem with this sunscreen being incredibly shiny and greasy? I don’t have oily skin but it looks extremely wet on my face even after a half an hour

Like listening to Dr Dray’s videos so was excited to see the caption about matte finish. I really can’t agree with that. I just don’t want to try this if it’s going to look that shiny.

The website claims that this one, the physical tint, IS water resistant. The original universal tint one is not… according to the website.
The sunscreen claims to be water resistant up to 80 minutes. It says it in the website and on the note it comes with inside the package 📦
I was interested, because it is water resistant. Too bad that wasn’t mentioned in the review.

Darn. I just ordered the regular one yesterday lol. I think the Paula's choice is my favourite though. It evens out my skin tone just enough
@Abc Def it's her "super light daily wrinkle defense SPF 30". Anti aging and Spf in one. It's awesome. I'm pretty pale and the colour is just a light beige. It doesn't really give you coverage, but for me it's just enough to slightly even out my skin tone.

I was at the REI store in nyc the other day. The salespeople were noticeably numerous and just as attentive as years before. (I want to say one of them veered towards "over-attentive" but then i did end up buying her suggested color for... a UPF 50 hoodie!) Here in the ny metro area there's kind of a vibe of everyone almost *trying* to return things to pre-pandemic normal. As for the death of traditional retail - though we've been noting that for years now, until technology like VR becomes much more faithful to the real sensory experience of shopping, and all stores integrate their inventory control and fulfillment with customer communication (there are types of products out there that complicate online selling) i think there'll be enough customers who still need to do some of that in person.
Dr. Dray, why don't you get your jeans tailored! I hate shopping for clothes online too!

Express carries short sizes online. So should look for the pair you liked online.

doc you should try garniers new sunscreen line. my favourite is the niacina b pore perfecting cream. its beautiful, no white cast, fragrance free, and a satin matte finish!
I have knee issues & leg issues (disability). I love boot-cut jeans. The only pants that work for me. Levi's always has still had them, or Wrangler. I know, I like to get my jeans from "regular" places as well. Those "skinny" jeans were popular when I was 16 (I'm 48/49 now) and it was the 80/90s then. They were just not called "skinny". It was the jean of the times. I still have no clue why *anyone* would want to go back to that decade pants-wise. No clue! None. LOL And look at how long they've been around now. Hate it!
Check their website for the jeans!! They carry short and if they don’t fit you can return at the store. You can also save on shipping if you ask them at the counter to order for you.
