I hated going shopping as a kid, especially as soon as I got home from school then get taken to Walmart before I had a chance to wind down after a hard day of studying. Now I love how convenient a Walmart is next to my work, I just grab a couole things on the way. Amazon is always good if I don't feel like going anywhere.
@@7Aheadfamily Ummm I don't really know since it was three years ago, but hanging with friends is the best things to do(even though I only have a few friends), and I want to enroll to college after I get my GED, I'm kinda excited that what kind of people I will meet after I enroll to college
Oh my, do they get back 2 school haircuts as well?? Benson is old enough 2 decide how he wants his hair but if he wants it cut i hope he gets 2. As for the lil boys i would buzz there hair real short so you dont have 2 cut it as much & they would still be just as cute & look much more cleaned up like Mark cuz he styles his hair nicely.
If Simon still needs some help getting up when he’s lying down on the floor it might help if he rolls onto his stomach first and uses his arms and hands to get up from that position.
Nicely done everyone 🎉. My son started at his new group(preparing him for school) today. He really didn’t like that we have left him there and had a hard time at first. But he cuddled a lot with his teachers and his mentor in particular so that was good. He also asked for help from the teachers by taking there hand and guiding them to what he wanted. Although it’s hard to trust an other group of people again. This is our faith of being a parent and we trust this will be good for him. How is Simon doing at preschool? When are the rest of the kids starting school?
I always hated going back to school after summer breaks. I feel so relieved that I don't have to go to school ever in my life :) Simon looks little lost sometimes like my 2 yo daughter does. Maybe they try to process what's going around them. Does Simon like to go for shopping? How much screen time do you give to Ezra and Simon?
As someone with autism, i can confirm school shopping is sometimes hard. I often just run around the store and my parents get mad bc they think im embarassing them. Or sometimes, I have no clue what to get and it takes me a long time to actually understand what i need like the basics like pencils and stuff. My mom just orders my stuff online now
Good film was Simon preschool he did in July like a summer school thing is he starting a regular preschool schedule soon. Will Ezra be in public school or home schooled this year what grade is he in 2nd or 3rd
Ezra will be starting 2nd grade right now. And will stay home for a while till we can get him potty trained. Simon will start preschool more regularly beginning in September. He still is doing two days a week though.
Lovely family! Could I ask you at what time did you stop using the security/baby gates for stairs in your house? We're still worried about balance issues leading to an accident, and unsure when it's safe to stop using the gates for our toddler. What was your thought process in determining when it was "safe" to remove them? Any comments will be much appreciated!
Great question! Thinking back, I believe is was just when we were confident that the kids were safe with the stairs because we had seen them demonstrate it many many times. Hope that helps. ❤️ thanks for watching and reaching out! Keep in touch.
When my sister and I were in preschool they did not teach toothbrushing because it was assumed that everyone would learn at home. My sister went to preschool around the mid 1970s and I went to preschool in the early 1980s. As far as I know they didn’t have autism preschools back then.
$350 for school supply for 3 kid? Is this stuff gold braided? Why do always feel the need to snatch Simon and cuddle when I see him? Am I wrong when I say Benson wished to be somewhere else?
One idea you might try on future shopping trips as Ezra continues to toilet train is to eventually have an incontinence pad on the bottom of the shopping cart like what people place on chairs, couches etc. This might enable you to take Ezra on shopping trips without having to put a diaper on him. If that’s not possible or practical or safe for any reason then maybe you can put some kind of blanket under him and something plastic underneath. (You will need to make sure that Ezra does not chew on or tear apart the incontinence pad. That would not be safe.) If he does have an accident the shopping cart and the floor should stay clean and he might get the opportunity to try to work on his potty training when you are out and about (which would probably not happen if he has a traditional tape-on style diaper on). Alternatively you could have Ezra wear something along the lines of a Goodnite or a Ninjamas or a similar product on shopping trips. I doubt that 5T-6T pull-ups or Easy Ups would still fit Ezra (given his age (even if he might still be a bit on the small side)). Hence my Goodnite or Ninjamas suggestion. The largest size goes all the way up to about 140 lbs or so. Therefore one of the sizes should fit. That way you might be able to have him practice any potty training skills that he is developing on shopping trips. This should eventually help with generalization once you start seeing some results at home. If an accident does happen a product like this should provide adequate protection. You’ll just need to bring some extras (and some wipes) in case a change or two is needed.
I remember those days. How do you stay so calm and relaxed with all the school supply shopping? Truly impressive skills Holly.
😊 thank you

School shopping is sometimes frustrating but kinda exciting, buy a lot of new school supplies, and school is hard
Agreed! What helps you most at school to have a good experience?

In Canada, school starts in September. I head back to the school for lunch supervision possibly mid-September. 🏫
A lot of schools start the beginning of September here in The US. But our little charter school starts early.

Simon has been doing great so far! The other kids started Wednesday of last week. 😊 Glad your little guy is warming up to his teachers ❤️
@@7Aheadfamily Good to hear. Hopefully the other kids are happy to have started school again. And is Ezra still doing therapy at home? Must be quiet.
Yes, Ezra is doing 6 hours of in home therapy, and then we are also starting some new things with him as well. ❤️

Now that everybody’s back in school, they will have very little screen time, if any, but before, and our normal rule is two hours in a day.
Simon does like to go and do anything, he likes going on adventures, even including shopping. 😊
I need to take them this weekend and i can't believe the twins are in kindergarten already ❤

Nice!
I can’t believe summer is almost over
Right! It went so fast.
My brother loves shopping for me that is what Amazon is for. As a kid I didn't want to think about school any sooner than I had to
That makes ends. And we love buying what we can online. It makes shopping easier.

Does Simon always keep two toys in hand
Both Simon and Ezra do like to have a toy in their hands to keep them busy. :)
I thought Ezra was homeschooled? Or does he get school supplies, clothes and shoes for being homeschooled.
You’re right! But, yes he still needs shoes for homeschool. 😊 He does go outside quite a bit.
