I love love love this! "would you like to demonstrate this?" "No" Perfect!! Why do they always ask these nonsensical questions, why don't they just say "I don't think you can do this, because you don't look like you pay attention (eye contact) so I'm gonna force you to demonstrate this in front of the class in order to embarrass you in front of your peers to shame you to change your behavior to be what I want." I would love a world where people spoke that way, it would save me several minutes before I realized they well full of bs and are incapable of earning my respect.
You are refreshing and wonderful! Thank you for being honest and being who you are!

So awesome. I relate lol. So many run ins with mental health services and being on wrong medication and self advocating and you know who realized I am autistic? ME. So glad you didn't give up and fought for yourself. So sad that we have to.

I’ve been a fan of yours since your tiktok psych ward days. Seeing a fellow autistic person succeed in their studies and embrace their unusual interests rather than hide them is so refreshing to see. Your videos about university have inspired me to go back to school after dropping out of year 12 due to poor mental health and autistic burnout, I’m planning on starting an online a level course in September and potentially going to uni after that if I do well :)

So many of your experiences you stated were/are many of my struggles! One of the big ones I had forgotten about was the fact I would completely lose it when anyone tried to put socks on my feet, never liked them!! when I was 4-5, they didn’t care just yelled at me I had to wear socks bc that’s what people do, but I could feel the thick seam across the bottom of my toes and it I absolutely couldn’t stand it. I learned to ignore my body’s internal tension and just “go with it” on surface level. Still hate socks, if I do wear them and go to sleep(rare) I’ll wake up and find them in the sheets where I’ve taken them off in my sleep. My body knows, I just have learned to ignore

you remind me so much of myself. we seem to be quite similar. im not diagnosed yet, but ive been waiting for 3 years on a waiting list for my adhd and autism assessment. in the past i was treated as anxitey and depression and i was pre asessed for bipolar disorder. I also have EDS that i figured out myself too. ive positively identified myself, my sister, my mum, my grandmother and an aunt as autistic. it makes SO MUCH SENSE. i had a doctor recently tell me i was very intelligent for downloading my own raw data for my dna and finding my own genetic mutations that caussed all my issues including my dyscalculia and a tic disorder lol. your awesome. love from toni from scotland x

I suggest you look for 3rd party assessment teams such as "problems shared" in the UK. NHS takes several years, problem shared on the other hand is 12 weeks max wait.
Please keep us updated, wish you the best♥️🙏

@zf-xi6ds I so appreciate your comment. Unfortunately the right to choose doesn't apply in Scotland. Also more info- I got diagnosed with EDS and had a mental health asessment which said I'm autsitic and more. So now waiting for OT to see me and refer me back again

Early years part really sounds like autism, not just a child things. I also thought i do not have memories but more i research autism, read books from autistic authors the more memories gradually are coming back. School years part is like tell me you are autistic without telling me, relatable and so obvious 🙂. 31:36 look up monotropism 👍. 33:01 i dont know the names but 2 parts of brain are "switched on or off" the opposite way in autistic brain a therefore what eye contact gives to neurotypicals the same is given by no eye contact to autistic people 33:45 eye rolling as stimming i guess. 41:00 telling stories like Do you remember how this happened to you and how you felt ? that´s how i feel now helps with empathy when told to autistic person. 🧐46:30 Alexithimia probably. 49:00 So much relatable. 51:09 Yes it is autism thing. And this video even do not need autistic title just the one hour of stimming with hair, eyes all over the room, monotonous voice, this ""looks"" autistic so much. I did not learn anything new because i research and learn about autism for 14 months literally everyday so i know ALMOST everything from 1908 - term autism coined by Eugen Bleuler to PDA but still i love to hear more a more autistic stories so Thank you . 😀

First of all, you don’t have “a big schnoz” . I was bullied for probably 7 consecutive years from primary to lower high school and although I will never be able to forget the kinds of things that were said and done to me, but I can avoid thinking about them (maybe that’s not healthy idk but it works for me maybe it would work for others too).
Also I really appreciate videos like this. They help me understand what autism is like and how it can express itself.
Finally your uni vids have been very helpful and I’m sure they will continue to be as I get through year 2&3, thanks

Its really hard to navigate when people are constantly being dishonest about their feelings about us too. Its pretty much impossible to get straight forward, kind advice about how others view us so that we can have nore comfortable interactions. It seems like they think telling us white lies is helpful to our self esteem or maybe they're just trying to keep the peace.

Im AuDHD. Diagnosed adhd, undiagnosed autistic. Before my parents came up to me and said that i was suspected AuDHD, i already had my suspicions about the adhd. The autistic one caught me off guard, especially as i have brought it up about 3 years previously, and my parents (both teachers) told me that i wasn't autistic.
A few months ago, a video popped up on my shorts about autistic black and white thinking. The example used was "I can't be autistic, because i don't have every single trait."
I didn't even feel that called out when I found out about the "white people can't handle spice" stereotype while eating a bowl of plain pasta with salted butter.

40:30 "I don't know if you're done speaking". Interestingly, in any form of communication where conveying information actually matters - like on radios in the old days, or in computer protocols - there are rules that tell you that you end a message like this ('over' on the radio, I think?) specifically because it's important to communicate that kind of thing not just make people guess! I did think it would be fun to write a "Human Communication Protocol" in the way people define these things for computers but let's face it, it would get thrown out straight away.

Would like to add you are beautiful just as you are, your nose is perfect to me - If I had the funds I'd actually pay you not to change it in any way, shape or form.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, to me you appear super-fine.
Are you perfect, not even close but I accept you unconditionally for who you are as a person.

could i please ask a question, would this be considered a routine or ritual for eating... i used to be over the top about blowing and wiping over my utensils and plate / glasses and such, and if anyone put food on my plate without me doing this and making sure theyre clean i would absolutely lose my head, and my fork, knife and fork i would place them in a specific place and make everything very even and spaced out equally infront of me on the dinner table, yes or no?
