Marty was chased in the frist two films but this was a little harder beasuce of cowboys and the ropes
Lucky doc came very quickly and saved Marty
"It'll shoot the fleas off a dog's back at 500 yards, Tannen, and it's pointed straight at your head!"
One of the best movie threats ever!
Top-tier of the movie, if not the movie.
it wasnt a threat it was a promise
Yeah, that was definitely a good line. I just told myself to memorize it and use it later as a joke lol 😆
I will shoot a flea off a dogs back at 500 yards, not it'll.....the gun doesn't do anything, its the person that shoots the gun that can hit a flea that far. The gun doesn't just let anyone shoot that good, guns are just as inaccurate as they are accurate. You have to be skilled and only Doc brown was that skilled, which is why he said I WILL. not It will.
when people can't even tell what some one said....
Unlike in the two previous films, he had no board to save himself after running out of the bar.
Not only that, but I always thought a big difference here was that Marty, a 17 year old was going up against more grown men who were killers, not other teenage bullies in 1955 or 2015. Buford and his gang of outlaws all looked at least 22-32 years old or so. Nobody looked 21 or under, granted I know they were not clean shave and all grimey, but still. It was easier for a kid like Marty to outwit other kids, and neither Biff from 1955 or Griff from 2015 seemed like straight up killers like Buford and gang.
Dude is iconic as Biff, but I believe 'Maddog' Tannin was his crowning achievement in this film series. F'ing LOVE his performance!
2:24 I always loved how he extends the scope. So badass!
Gotta, like Doc.
I know right?
Snick...click-CLACK! BOOM!
Trivia: When they pulled Michael J. Fox up by the rope, the safety harness or whatever failed so he is legitimately hanging by his neck during this scene. He’s probably not acting when says “Or hanged” in a raspy voice
he also said that’s what he thinks caused his Parkinson’s to start
@@theghost9507source for that?
@@ShustOne in one of his books he said it, and he may have said it somewhere else
@@theghost9507I think you've got that wrong. He went to see a neurosurgeon due to twitching in his finger which he initially thought was due to the failed stunt. However it turned out to be Parkinsons. Incidentally, getting choked does not suddenly trigger Parkinsons.
Trivia doesn't usually include terms such as "or whatever "
I love the expression on mad dog Tannen's face when he sees Marty moonwalking
The Michael Jackson moonwalk and twirl is amazing
Billy Jean is not my lov......
3:49 that kind of friendship :)
"Marty I gave you explicit instructions Not to come here. But to go directly back to 1985."
"I know Doc! But i HAD TO COME!"
"but it's good to see you Marty." (Marty and doc Brown hugged each other)
Best friendship ever and now Doc is there for Marty
Yes! They're good friends!

1:56 That's the clock tower building. It's still under construction.
0:47 You better run squirrel!
I quote this whenever I'm driving and a squirrel stops in the road in front of me.
Y'all get im!!!!!!!
Tannon just bathed in a jar of spit. Grosses me out every time , so funny😂
Given the amount... It surely took a long time to get to it. Also, it's Tannen.
one interesting thing about this scene is that from doc's perspective, he sent a letter one day, next day marty was there for him.
It took me awhile to figure this out, but the reason Tannens horse threw a shoe is because Doc was bad at being a blacksmith. He setup shop as a blacksmith, per his letter to Marty, as a cover to try and repair the time machine, but he couldn't fix it. "However I've gotten quite adept at shoeing horses and fixing wagons" He didn't know what he was doing , was basically living out a childhood fantasy and no one in town knew otherwise, until their horses started throwing shoes. If he had chosen a different occupation, like a teacher, something he was qualified to do, he might never have had any trouble with Mad Dog and Marty could have gone straight back to 1985, not having to save Doc in 1885.
$80 was a lot of money back in 1885.
Yep a quick google search says $80 then is about $2550 today, that's hella money. Even the $5 was a lot clocking in at $160 now.
@@dstreetz91 To reshoe a horse?
Simple times I guess lawless country
@@ianinkster2261 Tannen shot the horse
Even $5.00 was a LOT in 1885.
“You did” 😂😊
He's singing and dancing to "Billie Jean"
I’d say when a friend’s life is in danger you need to save them
@user-qg3nj1sv8j actually people do help each other out if they can. But yes someone in the vicinity will definitely record ______ event.
Now, if you think about it… Doc shouldn’t have to ask who gave Marty the clothes. It happened in his past, and as we know from the bullet proof vest in the first movie, things that happen to 1955 Doc affect the Doc from 1985, and he can remember them. So really, Doc shouldn’t even be surprised that Marty is here, though I guess it would explain why he’s able to come save him in the nick of time here. But really, the biggest issue with this plothole is that the Doc in 1885 would’ve known not only that Marty was coming (because he himself helped Marty get back to 1885 30 years in his own past), but that he was going to get stuck in the first place. 1955 Doc would’ve planned ahead, the same way he planned ahead for the Libyans in 1985. But we see no indication of this being the case.
He probably forgot about that small of a detail XD
In the first movie Doc had a letter. It's only been 30 years.
The problem is that Marty goes back in the past, into a time where Doc doesn't know that he'll get shot or that he gave Marty the clothes. You can't rewrite the past unless you're in the past. But you can write the future.
That's what you get when you mess with time/space continum.
@@Octoliciathat was my guess too. I'm assuming since this time around Doc is in the past and not in his home time era that 1955 doc doesn't affect 1985 doc. The only question is what happens to 1955 docs memories for the future? My only guess is is that it creates a slightly altered timeline for 1955 doc?
Biff gets more vicious and murderous as they go back thru time.
no in1885 isnt Biff but a relative of Biff but it does show theTannens are full of Crap because in the end they end up in manure
He wasn’t called “Mad Dog” yet.
He called him that in the bar, "Tannon....YOUR MAD DOG TANNON!"
This channel should be called Science Fiction Theater.
I've realized it makes sense that Doc wouldn't recognize the clothes or know why Marty was coming back and it's because Marty came from a future timeline where doc was shot and killed by Tannen for $80 however for this version of Doc he doesn't know he was going to die.
Lets just say it's timey wimey stuff and Doc can't know a future that didn't happen yet however even in the first film he knew of the 1955 events because he already lived through that... well up until marty returns the second time in the original timeline before the second film Marty never returned for the second time.
And now, I want to watch the whole movie. lol...
I have the complete box set with all three movies plus extra scenes, outtakes and bloopers. And cast interviews. I do believe it's about time for another Back To The Future marathon.
@@David-yo5re I officially don't like...ahem... 🤣
@@David-yo5redefinitely save for October and November special months next year will even be a special year good time for that
Fun fact: Marty's Cowboy clothes has depictions of the Rutherford's atomic model proposed in 1911 by Ernest Rutherford. So, basically, he's showing futuristic advances lol
Anyone else see the error here (and yes, I know it's only a film)? At 0:30 Marty twirls at the end of the moonwalk at the spitoon is to his left and at 0:31 as he jumps, it's well to his right, plus thefloor board is bent where it wan't before.
At 1:03, you can see the shadows of the camera men on the bottom left.
If I was doc I would’ve clarified that he was planning to for sure shoot me in the back…then came to the very solid conclusion that there’s no need for me to let you live at this point, then proceeded to just shoot ole mad dog where he sat on his horse lol!!!
I wonder if Marty ever got around to pulling that bullet out of the clocktower in 1985.
I love the rifle my favourite weapon
Not the only film where someone finds Doc Brown in 1885...
2:20!
Wel Marty could never have out run them, they jumped on their horses within a second like a pro
Yes... and of course he ran in a straight line ahead of them instead of to the side...
Note to self: Bring a Colt AR15 with thousands of rounds of 556/223 back to the Wild West and present it to Sam Colt.
Now if Marty had a AR-15 he would definitely dominate the Wild West because the AR-15 is basically the Swiss Army Knives of guns, it can do anything, and he can shoot Mad dog and his possey from far away as well
Notice how it is never stated what Buford Tannen has against Seamus McFly.
I think it’s because he knew Seamus Mcflys brother the original Martin who probably kicked his ass the way his descendant kicked his descendants ass would explain why Seamus called Buford a Buffoon
"I shot that horse!"
2:33
As a good thing that doc brown saved Marty from death
some places in the world still do death penalty by hanging look at Saddam
When was Buford Tannen supposed to have had kids? According to the Future Wiki site, bufore was 28 years old. He looks more like he is at least 40 here which would make more sense, because his son (Biff's granfather) could have been at least 20 and living on his own.
I read that Michael J. Fox nearly choked to death when they wrapped the rope around his neck. I am assuming that is why he is holding his fingers between his neck and the rope.
Actually, that's a natural reaction. Plus, he had to support his weight and just hoping someone might save him. Luckily, Doc was there.
“I done shot that horse!”
Well than that's your problem, TANNON!

Question: How come Doc Brown did not use parts from the Delorean that he hid in the cave while in the 1800'S to fix the one that Marty brought back? Technically there should have been Two Delorean's when Marty went back to the 1800's! The one Doc hid in the cave and the one Marty used to go back in time! Just asking!😂
It would create a time paradox. Just like they couldn't interfere with old Biff giving his younger self the almanac. As he must return back to 2015.
@@Mitjitsu THANK YOU! I've wondered that for years. Now my only remaining question is how he was able to make a time machine out of that train? I get that he could have cannibalized the parts from the DeLorean they didn't use and perhaps use parts from the hoverboard, but weren't the time circuits fried?
@@robertocojones4471 The locomotive is so much larger than the De Lorean that they didn't need to worry about making parts small enough to fit a car. When Marty travels to the old west, the microchip that fried in 1985, had to be replaced with a circuit board affixed to the hood, which shows components could be built, but not small enough for a car. My guess has been Doc could build the stuff needed using tools and materials available in the 1880s though the 1900s. And, he had plenty of time too I think. Jules and Verne look to be around 8-10 or so, so in theory they spent a decade at least in the 19th century.

How do you figure?!
My horse threw a shoe!
Mad dog Tannen is a COWARD to be wanting to shoot someone in the back!!!
Fox was really hanged while filming this scene. It is possible that damage was done to his brain and/or his brain stem that caused his Parkinson's disease.
He was diagnosed in 1991 one year after Part 3 so probably was 😭😭
Can’t wait til kk and Disney remakes a woke Putrid version
