I know it can easily be overlooked but seeing an image basically predict your guaranteed death is terrifying
More than terrifying
True, I always thought the image would have shifted back to Docs name when he wasn't going to come out and he was going to shot Doc again instead right before he walked out with the metal plate as a vest
Houston Lamb Dub Taylor From Little House On The Prairie Plays The Part Of The Saloon Old Timer In This Movie In The 1800s And Pat Buttram From Green Acres Is Playing The Part Of The 3rd Saloon Old Timer
Honestly, a very memorable scene for me. This was when Marty finally overcame his biggest character flaw, not being able to ignore other's insults to his character. And it took being literally faced with the premonition image of his death to do it.
He finally realized that being a man includes being able to think for yourself and to not be so easily misled.
And he stood up for himself
Yeah, that in fact he's literally being insulted and been calling names, buy all he sees in the photo in his grave. Realizing if he keeps standing up like a man, he would die. Like he sees his future.
@@aidanfraga3987 that's the funny thing, he wasn't standing up like a man, he was standing up to avoid bruising his image, because he cared too much about what others thought of him. It was when he learned when to stand down from a pointless argument that he did learn how to act like a man.
@@Mike14264literally me
Tom Wilson deserved so much more for playing Mad Dog Tannen. He was outstanding!
"You got back door to this place?"
"Yeah, it's in the back."
I could be wrong and it may be a bit presumptuous of me but that is generally where I would expect the back door to be.
Could have also just used a window in the back I guess....
that's the joke
"Forfeit... FORFEIT!?
...what's that mean?"
It means you win without a fight.
@@jackraider1039without shootin'? He can't do that!
@@laz7354Hey you can't do that!
@@trevorthornley8835you're a gutless yellow turd! But seriously this scene is hilarious, Tannen acts like he got cheated on a chess game lol.

1:33 - 1:40 I wonder how would that line affect Clint Eastwood in his western movies? LMAO..😂😂😂😂😂😂
They must have been absolutely crying with hysterical laughter off screen at that line 😂😅
Long ago, I saw a clip from when BttF 3 premiered, they had Clint Eastwood in the audience. He was cracking up at this scene.
I love how Tannen is so dumb he needs to be reminded how to count 1:41
Backwards? But he was counting up to 10, that's not backwards.
He most likely didn’t receive proper education as a child
But he fast with dat gun
What doesn’t make sense to me is he was able to count the fingers on his friend’s hand and say the number right away. It’s as if he fully understood how to do it he just had a blackout and forgot that he left off at 6.
@MelodicBox Either that or, maybe he lost count and forgot which number he left off at which is why when his henchman held up seven fingers to say which number was next, he right away counted. The look on his face at 1:41 was like he was thinking, "I lost count and then turned to his henchmen as to say, which number was I at?"
“He can’t do tha-HEY YOU CAN’T DO THAT!” 😂 just an angry little kid
Love how they managed to get all of the B movie western actors for this movie
From 2:29-2:30, I love the look and nod on Seamus's face like he's saying to Marty, "I'm very proud of you Mr. Eastwood for taking my advice at the party not to react and just ignore to being called an insulting name" because of Marty reacting when Buford Tannen called him "yellow" (he even reacted to Biff when Biff called him "chicken" while being called "yellow" is worse than being called "chicken") at the party where Seamus told Marty that he should have just walked away and ignored and he wouldn't have gotten himself in trouble to be in a gun showdown especially since Seamus told Marty (whom he thinks is Clint Eastwood) that he has an older brother named Martin who was killed for reacting to an insulting name and Marty must have felt that Seamus was right and felt it's better to being called an insulting name than to get yourself in trouble.
Pat Buttram was probably best known for his voices in Disney films, but in this film he was given the honor or reciting probably one of the most stereotypical Western things to say. “The biggest yellow belly in the west”!!!
the iconic backdoor in the back 😄
I like how in this scene this seems to be a character test for Marty. Notice anyone that would of warned Marty against it which would of been Doc and Samus. Doc is out cold and samus says nothing Its interesting when Marty basically passes his test thats when Doc snaps out of it.
Samus? ...Sheamus?
@@GTA2SWcity yeah what you said. Lol
Yea and then Metroid joins in and starts blasting everyone!
Cool point
Everybody, everywerrrree. What a funny accent. Hhahahahahahaha
One of the best moments of the film
Thomas Wilson must’ve had a blast with this character 😂
As his great grandfather Burford mad dog tannen.
When the bad guy wants to fight, while you’re not up for it….
1:20 Pat Buttram was the voice of Chief from The Fox and the Hound
Mr Haney from green acres
And also the sheriff of Nottingham in robin hood
He was also one of Gene Autry's sidekicks.
Don't forget Napoleon in the Aristocats
He has the coolest voice too
2:18 Didn't notice that spit from his mouth.
He frequently spits throughout the movie when he talks.
Its why he’s called Mad Dog in the first place
Yes you did. Hence the comment.
@darth_son2283 He mostly spits and drools which is why he was given the nickname as "Mad Dog" where maybe it was Seamus who started that off calling him "Mad Dog" since he was Seamus's enemy first and then it spread from one person to the next and soon it became Historical that his nickname was "Mad Dog" since in the scene when Marty was reading about the History of Buford Tannen in a library (that was in the year 1955 and of course, Buford Tannen was dead by that time either by old age, murder, or death row especially since he was arrested at the end of the movie) it was mentioned that Buford Tannen was constantly drooling and was then given the name "Mad Dog" because of that. Unfortunately for him, he hated that nickname and then became Marty's enemy after Marty called him that where most likely he decided to stop being Seamus's enemy and then be Marty's enemy.
Best film
I only now noticed, one of the buildings in 1885 Hill Valley is using the current state flag of California which isn't possible for 1885.
The flag wasn't adopted until 1911. While the predecessor of the bear flag was already used in 1846, the flag shown here can not exist in 1885 as the picture of the bear used to create the picture was only made 4 years after the events in the movie.
doc probably convinced them during those months to use that flag
@@arthaiser Does Doc keep a spare Californian flag with him every time he leaves the house?
tbh, I wouldn't be surprised
0:07 It's not 8'o'clock yet!
It is by my watch. So let's settle this once and for all, Runt. Or ain't you got the gumption?
Looks like Marty's rant against Buford woke Doc up from his low tolerance alcohol blackout.
@bwill613 It probably wasn't that. The bartender did say that it will take a few minutes to clear out everything from Doc's head which is probably why Doc had a headache when he woke up since the headache was because his head was being cleared up.
That third man at the table has a very familiar voice I hear from a classic Disney animation. Is that Pat Buttram?
Yep. They are Dub Taylor, Harry Carey Jr and Pat Buttram. All 3 are veterans of Western movies
@@sslocke They made the right move appearing in this film.
That's right
2:02 I already got a gun
This is happening right now with Jon Jones refusing to fight like a man and take a massive beating from Tom Aspinall.
Title got it wrong lol
It’s “gumption”.
One of the old men at the table was in Disneys Robin hood Im pretty sure.
You are correct. That is him. The one and only, Pat Buttram.
He said "gumption", not "guts"
That Guy Sit At The Table Was Pat Buttram He The Voices Of Disney Films Like Napoleon From The Aristocats 1970 The Sheriff Of Nottingham From Robin Hood 1973 Luke From The Rescuers 1977 Chief From The Fox And The Hound 1981 And Possum Park MC From A Goofy Movie 1995
Mr. Haney on Green Acres too.
they are already drinking at 8 am?
It was the 1880s. It would have been crazy if there weren't patrons coming in at 8am.
we do it in ireland all the time lol
1:28 You're a coward!
Me: Don't push it, old man! You're asking for a hater. 😠
everyone telling marty here he is a coward, but who would show to a duel while holding a photo of his own grave?
BIDEN: Listen, I'm not feeling up to this today. So I'm gonna have to forfeit.
Marty should be able to take him. He learned to shoot at 7-11.
Look like mad dog is very bad mood. 😏
Clint Eastwood is the biggest yellow belly in the west🤣🤣🤣
Arthur Morgan would completely annihilate Mad Dog in a gun or fist fight.
Pre-tuberculosis Arthur that is
Post TB Arthur would still destroy. He survived, and arguably, beat Micah at dangerously low strength. AND after holding off a swarm of Pinkertons. Biff got knocked out by a high school kid.
