Kara Mulder, a flight attendant for eight years, runs the website TheFlightAttendantLife.com. She said a plane's in-flight crew is trained to deescalate situations involving drunken passengers, which are becoming more common. If someone seated near you is out of control, Mulder advises telling the person that you're using the lavatory then alert a flight attendant to the situation. not really, my friends a pilot, and i also play microsoft flight simulator x, all you do is give the plane the route and the plane flies for you, it even turns for you. so in a 14 hour flight you would only manually control it in the first 30 minutes, then at the final 30- 40 minutes.

I've flown hundreds of flights. Dozen times to Hawaii, and more to Vegas. All over the country and international. I've never seen an unruly passenger like this. The only time I've seen anything like this was when a woman threw her water in the face of a drunk man. The drunk man got embarassed, and didn't do anything. The woman moved to another seat with help of the FA.

My parents retired to Hawaii and when our relatives on the East Coast fly out to visit on direct flights, drunk passengers were always a problem. They now book travel plans with a layover in San Diego so I can drive down and treat them to a quick lunch before boarding their next flight. They haven't had any drunks on their flights since starting this.

I remember one time when I was going to Portugal, this lady was walking with two other people. It was pretty normal, but when we were going to board the plane, she collapsed all of a sudden. Apparently, she was super drunk. She had to be sent back home and she did not board the same plane as me. And I am so glad because you can never ever know what someone might do.

Flight attendants and other service people put up with a lot of rowdy customers who like to abuse them - we need to start standing up for these service people and say NO to bullying and abuse. Respect to all service people.

I am so glad that I don't regularly use Vegas for a connecting flight anymore...
I've bee,been, many flights, no one does this. However I did see a couple of drunks board who had been rowdy while we waited at the gate. Once on they lost their way or forgot their seat numbers, but they just made it hard for others to get to their seats until they found theirs. The attendees I'm sure watched, but none of them interfered. Once seated they probably passed out or slept, cause not a word from them. The flight was a long one,,and it was nerve racking to hear them at the gate. NO booze should be sold in airports.

I have flown on planes all my life. It's really simple, buy your ticket, get in line, take your seat, have a cocktail or soda, read a book or watch the movie, and shut the #%&_ up and your at your destination. It's simple people act like an adult. If not grow a pair of wings or take a bus.
