One time on a Christmas eve flight home a baby was crying for about an hour behind me. I turned around and said "your mom is going to bring this up every Christmas for the rest of your life". The mom laughed which made the baby stop crying and smile. I felt so cool lol.
I COMPLETELY understand this man’s frustration, I really do. As someone with sensitive hearing, I find the sound of babies crying very unpleasant to deal with. However, I recently invested in some expensive noise-cancelling headphones and they have been a life-saver. I suggest this man does the same.
Yea it’s annoying to hear babies cry, but the first time i got on a plane, my ears were hurting VERY bad because of the pressure to the point where i cried. imagine how it is for a baby
Often the parent dealing with the crying baby is feeling overwhelmed and crappy when they aren’t able to soothe the baby. Screaming at the baby and/or the parent isn’t going to help anything. Either it makes the parent more frantic or angry and can cause the baby to cry and scream louder. It’s not as if the baby went on that plane with the intention to cry. I’m not a parent myself but I can have some empathy for babies and their parents.

No one ever WANTS to travel with a baby. Sometimes you just have to. I was on a flight once with a fussy baby and a stressed mama, and as she tried to calm the baby down another lady walked up and kindly offered to hold the baby for a while. She had a mother's touch and patiently held and played with the baby for most of the flight. My faith in humanity: restored. For clarification, I meant the actual traveling part, as in flying, not the vacation itself
Because the baby is just that.. a baby. What do we think of babies? Crying. What do we think of adults? Hopefully some brains to be helpful and not a total a hole
Man this is why I helped a woman with a crying baby who was about to lose her cool. I told her I would hold her for a bit so the mom could help her other child to the bathroom. Baby ended up stopping after 10 minutes and falling asleep. I held her till we landed.
I wonder someone on that plane at least offered the parent/caregiver of the crying baby help like you did. We never know what the circumstances of other people flying and the baby might have had to fly for some serious reason. It is a sad world that someone like this guy exists.
I've done that too during a flight too. The baby can sense stress, and this Mother was very stressed. So I offered to hold the baby for a little while, but he fell asleep in my arms, and so I just held him until we landed. His Mother was so thankful, and I was more than happy to help. Good Karma for us, Kelsey; not to mention it was the right thing to do =)
What does he want them to do? You only complain to employees if they can actually do something to help you. You don't yell at a hotel housekeeper about the checkout time. They can't murder the baby, or throw them off the plane. So what does he think yelling will get him?
I understand him though. Who wants to get stuck in a plane with a baby crying all flight where the parent doesn’t do anything. Its a free headache/migraine/stress. And don’t give me the “tHe PaRenT Is tRYinG tHeir BeSt” cause clearly they aint trying hard enough. Being prepared and all. Not saying he should blame the flight attendants.
Had a kid kicking my seat on a flight from Ibiza to Paris. Had not slept in over 24 hours, gave the kid a little death stare and he instantly stopped. lol
That was me, I was the kid kicking your seat, let me know when your next flight is so me and my mommy can book a seat behind you and I can kick your seat again. I love the bonding between me and you
I understand how annoying a crying baby can be. I have 2 kids of my own. The embarrassment the female with him felt especially when they tell him "you're yelling" and he says "so is the baby"😂
She was not dealing with the baby, clearly. Any good parent could shut their spawn up within 15 minutes at the absolute maximum. The baby doesn’t enjoy the flight, the whole plane doesn’t enjoy the flight, the parent doesn’t enjoy the flight, why take your baby on the plane?
Yep, I had to listen to a screaming toddler for all 7 hours of my flight, which doesn't include 2 hours of crying at the boarding gate and arrival gate. Turns out, the kid was crying because the parents lost the charger for their iPad.
As a mother i get anxious and overwhelmed 😢when my baby cries in the car and I can't do anything because I'm driving. It's usually for about 15 minutes max...I can't imagine how flustered the mom must have been.
Kids crying on the plane is far worse than them crying in the car. In the plane, your ears start hurting and the crying makes it even worse. Not to mention you’re stuck in a small area with dozens of other people, it sucks.
I gotta say though, I feel this guy. One day I was on a 5 hour flight going across the country and throughout the whole entire flight, there was this baby that kept on screaming and crying, and by screaming, I mean it. I have never heard that loud of screaming coming from a baby, so I used my noise cancelling earbuds, which worked quite well, but unlucky for my mother who was sitting a few seats away, she had absolutely nothing to put over her ears. For my mother, this was one of the worst flights she was ever on, and because of that incident she ended up getting noise cancelling headphones and she brings them on every single flight.
The baby ears was closed, anyone who fly knows you have to chew something to keep your ears open and popping, the mom and dad should have took the baby to the bathroom to ease the noise or let people know what was going on with their child. Come one the guy was in right and his lane. But again 35 minutes to let a baby cry.
@@joycettabutler5692 the baby's ears were closed, wtf does that mean. Sorry but I don't think that guy was right at all. Hes lucky didn't get his ass beat.
there was a white lady who rode a tour bus with us, and when the bus ran onto traffic , she started yelling at the bus driver as she only stopped for a layover, & she'd be late for her flight..so its in all races.
My mother always told she had no problem bringing me and my siblings on the plane when we were still babies. We eventually found out its because she fed us cough syrup so we'd be sleeping the entire flight 😅😅😅
As someone who lost an entire night of sleep on a 9 hour red eye flight due to a crying kid, I totally understand his frustration. However, this guy took his frustration too far.
No you don’t understand the frustration. Until you have a child of your own, losing an entire nights sleep is NOTHING compared to losing several months/years of nights sleep.
This is why we need kids/infants free flights... i dont want to fly with kids or babies non stop crying or screaming.... not everyone loves kids or babies... sorry
not everyone loves adults who act like children either. You think going into bars and seeing adults brawl needlessly, or going to children's games and hearing adults screaming at what is just a game is any more enjoyable?
Ngl, some parents don't know how to parent either though. We had an 8 hour flight with a toddler and baby with parents who didn't believe in punishment. So the toddler was running up and down the aisle screaming, they were stepping and climbing into empty seats on the plane and some guy ended up catching him when he fell, they had puked as well in the aisle and some of it got on one of the other passengers. And the parents just sat there and did nothing. I think other passengers were more engaged with the kid than his own parents were. So it was sad because you feel for the kids but it was annoying to listen to 8 hours of nonstop screaming.
I see this at restaurants and stores all the time. Far too many parents want the world to cater to them in every way but god forbid they show an ounce of consideration to anyone else.
Over 35mins of non stop crying and screaming is unbearable. Let's be honest... The dude did most passengers wanna do. Some parents dont even soothe their babies and they themselves wear earbuds to block the crying
We were surrounded by crying babies on a late flight + a 2 year old kicking the back of the seat. Asked mum if her child could stop kicking the seat and she shouted back he’s only a child.
It can be hard, but it’s harder for the parents who have to take care of that baby. Have a couple kids yourself and it becomes so much easier to tolerate and have compassion for. 😊
I truly understand how the guy feels. It’s not the parents nor the baby’s fault though. No use getting angry over things you can’t control. Just bring ear plugs on your next flight.
It is very much the parent’s fault. She was not trying to calm the baby down at all. Watch the video again. Listen to the audio again. 35 minutes until the man pointed out her crappy behavior and she still didn’t console the baby.
Wouldn't the same logiv apply to the other passengers bothered by his loud utterances?? Or is it JUST them entitled to the reasonable peaceful journey they paid for? ...just a question.
Everyone is jumping down this man's throat, but did someone offer to assist with soothing the baby? I'd be pretty frustrated too if that were me. I can't honestly say that I'd react like this guy did, but I'd be pretty upset! 🤷🏾♀️
You cried as a baby...you frustrated people too. As did he when he was a baby...so this crying baby on the plane was his karma for what he did 50 or 60 years ago. Deal with it or don't travel on a commercial plane.
@M SC I don't understand everyone saying they feel for him, after what he did. Some people can't handle crying babies, I get that. For me, they often give me migraines. But screaming at a baby? Hell, hope he never becomes a father if that's how he deals with babies or kids.
Screaming like a baby as a grown man is acceptable tho? 😂 you’re making excuses for yelling at a baby that knows LITERALLY NOTHING. If you don’t want to listen then don’t fly commercial.
I think that the point is not if the baby was crying. They will stop crying eventually. The point is the amount of time one has to hear a baby crying. After a few minutes it is frustrating. Not everyone has the same mental condition.
I'm more than willing to pay extra for child free flights. Let the parents with kids have their flights. Wish there were non-private jet options to fly child free.
@@spikefivefivefive A prepared parent brings that already. We always have a cloth along. Little one won't shut up? Put her on your lap. Cloth goes over your knees and over your shoulder, close the sides, voila, instant sound-dampening tent. Yeah, let’s judge his maturity based on him feeling frustrated for absolutely valid points. Absolutely no judging parents whatsoever whom would take a toddler on a plane right?
Some times people in the military have to move and you know that means taking their baby with them. I had to fly from US to Japan and my daughter was a baby and she cried a few times. Thankfully I did not have a man baby yelling at me.
I was on a flight with my 15 month old son. He’s the sweetest kid. But on the plane the pressure on his ears was just too much and he screamed for at least 45 minutes. My husband and I tried feeding him and giving him a pacifier but nothing worked. I think once babies get the ear pain it’s too late to do anything but hope the plane lands soon.
@@nunyabizness9955 it’s called empathy. Try it. Most parents try their best to quiet down children. Sometimes they won’t be quiet. Mom should have breast fed her baby and it probably would have stopped screaming. Problem was that the plane had been circling the airport for an hour waiting to land. The plane had to finally land in an entirely different airport. Not sure why, but I think that was the major contributing factor on why that baby's eyes kept popping.
@@globetrotting2628 Agree. Breast fed solved 99% of problems when my daughter was a baby. Today we still laugh that she would sleep through fire and earthquakes if she was feeding 😅😅
When I was on Amtrak, my baby woke up at 1am and decided to start wailing. They were gonna put me off in New York train station. I was so embarrassed I was about to take them up on that plan. After 20 minutes of screaming, my baby decided he was done and took his bottle and went back to sleep. It was so random. But I was willing to get off the train in a strange city because the mortified feeling the mom gets is worse than any feeling anyone else is feeling.
Someone with anxiety and PTSD I understand that guy. Although I'd never go on the plane if I know I can't deal with the noise. However people with babies and small children should not be taking them on a plane in the first place. You should be courteous to others.
Considering how flights get cancelled and not enough pilots/staff scheduled properly depending on the airline, this may not even work out. But yea who want child free flights need to pay extra then since it’s an additional comfort like if you brought first class seats. I don’t know how many fools would rather pay for that child free comfort than bring some headphones which is much cheaper than tickets.
@itazuranakisu I would, and I appreciate you not calling me a fool. I have taken noise canceling headphones and even though it did block out normal crying, sometimes it doesn't block out screeching. Sign me up for a child free flight, I'm willing to pay extra.
That's not a solution. A better solution would be to make people with kids pay more money since they have more people in their party AND because they're the ones subjecting other passengers to discomfort, pure hell, immaturity, mental abuse and more! Childfree people NEVER subject anyone to anything and they shouldn't have to pay MORE money for a comfortable, decent, quiet flight from point A to point B.
@@itazuranakisu The sound of screeching infants cuts through even the top of the line noise cancelling headphones. It's an evolutionary trait for humans to hear that horrific sound. Parents bringing kids to flights should be quarantined to a soundproof section of the plane, then they can all enjoy their crying kids together.
How can you tell? Sometimes nothing you do helps, and you just kinda shut down out of exhaustion and stress and focus on trying to keep the kid safe as both of you ride out the crying fit. When that happens, it's awful for everyone
You're the adult, you know better. The baby really can't help it when they feel uncomfortable they cry. The plane had noise canceling headphones on the plan and you refused. Then that's on you. The mom is stressed enough as it is and that guy made matters worse.
I'm surprised we didn't get to hear about an emergency landing like in that case when a flight attendant got in a fight with a mother of an autistic girl...
Not really defending his actions but the mother should know better than to bring a baby on a plane and not know how to quiet it down after 35 minutes. Don't travel or know how to take care of your childrens' needs.
@@Goldfish_Vender You're right we should complain about the mother as well. Especially if she ignored the child. She could have asked for help from someone if she was too tired to care about her child.
Babies have only one form of communication, which is crying, I think that tends to fly over people's heads. The baby's ears may have been hurting because of the fact that it was on a plane and may not have been used to it. People need to realize that and get over it or maybe even bring ear plugs.
It’s clear that this man has never had children. A baby’s crying is involuntary because they can’t express the pressure and pain they feel in their ears during a flight. Yet, instead of showing understanding, he acted entitled and intolerant. If he thinks he’s so important or special, maybe he should have booked a first-class ticket. Before judging, he should consider the parents’ perspective-they’re likely already stressed and embarrassed, and there’s little they can do to relieve the baby’s discomfort. Babies on planes cry out of fear and pain, not to inconvenience others.
2:01 We've all been there. It may not have been your S.O./relative yelling obscenities on a plane, but we all know that feeling nonetheless. This was _exactly_ my reaction when my dad would ask for the manager at a restaurant to complain about "poor" customer service. (In reality, his anger and tone were totally unjustified imo.) It's bad enough when it's a stranger nearby who is overreacting -- it's _much_ worse when it's someone you know well, even love.
@Florianj🍇 Throw that guy on the plane to jail or give him a haymaker! At least one baby can be quieted down. As for the other baby, a pacifier is an excellent investment.
You got to understand. People know you have a baby, but you got to realize some people, especially elderly can't deal with the crying. It can be extremely annoying. Mad didn't have to yell, but at least walk to the bathroom for a few moments.
He didn't handle the situation well, but honestly no one knows what this man is going through. He may have ear problems that make him ultra noise sensitive, or may be autistic and suffer from an auditory processing disorder. Society is also just plain ignorant to the damage that noise can do. Babies' cries can reach 120 decibels, which can cause hearing loss and tinnitus.
@@MegaBev it could be true though, you never know what someone has, invisible disabilities and disorders is a thing. I’m not saying he was right for acting that way but he could have sensory issues with noise but idk

You’re right. Unfortunately many parents think that everyone else should just put up with their children because they have to, with no pushback or complaint. They have no regard or interest in the needs or sensitivities of anyone else. Yet they demand unlimited empathy, grace, and compassion from the world because it’s the “toughest job in the world” 🙄🙄
I remember how everyone looked at me when I got on the plane with my oldest daughter when she was 6 months old 😂😂😂😂😂 luckily my daughter isn't a cry baby she just sat on my lap the whole time. But I get it because, I remember when I got off so many people were telling me how relieved they were that she didn't cry😢😢. People need to understood that if u have a baby that cries a lot then dont take them on a plane its not fair to everyone else.
Some people HAVE to travel Karen. Babies cry,... in public places. Earplugs, headphones, whatever,... get over it. It's called NATURE. The same imbeciles on here that want a HUMAN BABY EJECTED,... will fight to the death if someone even hints that Shamarla's whining ass maltese has got to go. What the hell is wrong with you people????
It has little to do with whether a baby cries often. Many times the changes in air pressure cause human beings discomfort or pain, and in the case of a baby, they don't know what to do except cry. Instead, maybe adults should understand these facts and learn to deal with uncomfortable situations.
So you're saying what? "Don't see your family for 5 years because otherwise someone who ACCEPTED the risk of a crying baby by going economy class, might be inconvenienced"?
This doesn't make sense. Every parent has the right to travel with their baby whether the child cries or not. Noise cancelling headphones exist. I don't have children but I am empathetic to the crying baby situation. I'm a very seasoned traveller. It's no excuse at all for this shameful behaviour.
This is why adult only flights really need to be a thing! While I'd do what I could to keep myself more calm and restrained, I get where he's coming from. I understand that caring for an infant is far from easy, and kudos to all the parents out there who do the best they can, but if you can't be bothered to even try and keep your babies soothed, kids behaved etc in a public space, that is just so inconsiderate to everyone else around you! I don't hate kids by any means. However, I do expect common courtesy and decency from other people when in any type of public space, and I always do my best to show the same back. Do I agree with what the guy was saying overall? Honestly yes. I don't try and argue for babies and children to be outright banned from all flights, or anything ridiculous like that, but too many people just don't give any consideration for how their actions (or lack thereof sometimes) effects others around them. Do I feel like he was right in choosing to react the way that he did? Not really, but I imagine that he must have been at his wits end by the time the video starts, and lets be honest, even the best of us can react poorly when we get to that point. So as I was saying earlier: Adult only/childfree flights would be a dream! I'd gladly pay extra for such an option if I could!
You must not have any children. Us parents don’t have control over how our child behaves. I understand proper discipline is needed. But when the child is so young. It’s nearly impossible to get them to shut up once they start unless you duck tape their mouths shut. There’s not much a parent can do in that situation either. And if they did they’d probably go to jail for child abuse. Just sayin
@@rosee9252 they know you guys don't have control over how ur babies behave lmfao.. that's why they said there should be adult only flights so u can avoid ppl like that man
While I don’t agree with that man’s behavior, I understand his frustration. In 1979 I was on a flight from Travis Air Force Base, California, to Honolulu, Hawaii. The flight lasted five hours and 45 minutes. The plane was fully loaded with single military personnel in uniform as well as dependents. One baby on board not only cried - it screamed from the time we were airborne until we touched down in Hawaii. I understood that the baby was probably in extreme discomfort and I silently coped with the situation. We were packed into that plane elbow to elbow and it was a miserable, stressful, claustrophobic experience. I had to keep reminding myself that I was soon going to be enjoying my brand new assignment in Hawaii. I never forgot that experience.
You can't blame someone for Getting upset over a crying baby on a plane. There's no escape. On a bus or train you can get off or go to another carriage. On a plane you're trapped with the noise.
Why would you want to say this? Most parents don't _want_ to take their babies on flights or _want_ them to cry. They don't need to be "taught a lesson". So who is this rant for? Who is it helping? It's just making everything worse.
I have been there I don’t know 🤷🏾♂️ I am kinda on this dudes side on this one. I seen a child hit a lady in back of her head and the parents did nothing about it. Child free flights need to be offered asap.

not everyone loves adults who act like children either.

After 20 minutes of screaming, my baby decided he was done and took his bottle and went back to sleep. It was so random. But I was willing to get off the train in a strange city because the mortified feeling the mom gets is worse than any feeling anyone else is feeling.
On a train you can take the baby away from the crowd, move around, find some space to settle. On a plane you're stuck to your seat.
Hugs! It's not in your control and if people do not have that little empathy, it's not your problem.
These folks don't know. Instead of showing empathy and being helpers, they rant about anything that makes them uncomfortable.
Someone with anxiety and PTSD I understand that guy. Although I'd never go on the plane if I know I can't deal with the noise. However people with babies and small children should not be taking them on a plane in the first place. You should be courteous to others.
Only solution to this is to have child free flights. Which ever airline provides this first will be insanely profitable.
Parents bringing kids to flights should be quarantined to a soundproof section of the plane, then they can all enjoy their crying kids together.
no guarantee you won't have a 50 year old baby on the child free flights.
Sometimes, the parent isn't even TRYING to quiet the baby. And that can be really infuriating. Maybe, that's what happened here.
How can you tell? Sometimes nothing you do helps, and you just kinda shut down out of exhaustion and stress and focus on trying to keep the kid safe as both of you ride out the crying fit. When that happens, it's awful for everyone

He said racist stuff about the baby..he got racist on a baby..wow..he said if the baby was black this wouldn't be happening..
Babies have only one form of communication, which is crying, I think that tends to fly over people's heads. The baby's ears may have been hurting because of the fact that it was on a plane and may not have been used to it. People need to realize that and get over it or maybe even bring ear plugs.
But some do it just because they can though when they don't get what they want. They just scream with no tears. I've seen it and it's disturbing.

It's called life get over it
It’s clear that this man has never had children.
Baby’ Parent: Here sir, let me just flip the stop-crying switch

I did this when I was 9. I have autism and is really sensitive to noises like crying babies. Still remember my parents being mad at me. 😰
At least you were 9, this is supposedly a grown man.
@@TurbulentFlow Well maybe they should shut that stupid baby up.
@Florianj🍇 Throw that guy on the plane to jail or give him a haymaker! At least one baby can be quieted down. As for the other baby, a pacifier is an excellent investment.
I'm on the spectrum as well, I would definitely make aware to everyone that I didn't get my window seat.
@@bobrossopinions Calm down, male karen.
The baby is acting appropriately for their age, this man is not lmao
The parents aren't acting appropriately for their age by not calming their baby down
You got to understand. People know you have a baby, but you got to realize some people, especially elderly can't deal with the crying. It can be extremely annoying. Mad didn't have to yell, but at least walk to the bathroom for a few moments.
That's funny because people can't tolerate crying babies but could tolerate trans drag queen being in school grooming children's
Then people would be banging on the door and complaining about how she’s hogging the bathroom.
OR he can buy noise canceling head phones to mitigate the shound.
@@ihamlegend Or parents should leave the bratty baby at home.
Don't think the plane ever took off.
Not allowed to roam about during taxi and take off
I think people have completely lost their minds acting like this.
Agreed
I know I would if I get stuck with a crying baby for too long.
Ugh huh let’s just put mental illness or medical issues for anyone that acts like that
Unfortunately people don't care about others mental disorders. Bc they wouldn't know what it's like, so they can't empathize
@@MegaBev it could be true though, you never know what someone has, invisible disabilities and disorders is a thing. I’m not saying he was right for acting that way but he could have sensory issues with noise but idk
He's still responsible for his own actions. He should be accountable, but I have to admit that this is only one snapshot of his life. It may have been his worst moment that someone happened to video. Maybe he had more going on to make him less patient
You’re right. Unfortunately many parents think that everyone else should just put up with their children because they have to, with no pushback or complaint. They have no regard or interest in the needs or sensitivities of anyone else. Yet they demand unlimited empathy, grace, and compassion from the world because it’s the “toughest job in the world” 🙄🙄
He deserves to be on the no fly list
@Fred Puntdroad I said nothing of his actions. He's in the wrong, but he's just saying out loud what everyone is thinking and it can be frustrating 😒
Just sayin
You absolutely shouldn’t have to pay extra. They should levy huge tariffs on those flying with kids, simply to encourage them to think again!
literally.. not adult only flights but flights made for ppl over 13 bc i don't want to be on a plane with a crying baby
@@rosee9252 they know you guys don't have control over how ur babies behave lmfao.. that's why they said there should be adult only flights so u can avoid ppl like that man
@bowserjr-_3170 it's not a dumb comment, but your response was ridiculous. Ah, the beauty of the right to opinions 😂
Even better if parents of extremely unruly or disruptive children could just not get on planes, trains, buses... they're not wanted.
You can blame them on acting on it though. He's not an animal or a toddler
35 minutes of a screaming baby is unacceptable tbh
Wait till you have whole nights for months at a time ...
More than 10 & I do something about it whether it's talk to parent of help them.
@@StormChaserMaci. It's a baby, more often than not, there's nothing you can do.
He just said what we have all wanted to say 😂😂😂😂 love every moment of it. 😂😂
Why would you want to say this? Most parents don't _want_ to take their babies on flights or _want_ them to cry. They don't need to be "taught a lesson". So who is this rant for? Who is it helping? It's just making everything worse.
@@NoriMori1992 It won't make thing worse. It will make the parents think twice before bringing baby on board.
"You're yelling"
"SO IS THE BABY" 🤣
If minor inconveniences bother this guy, how did he earn money to pay for his ticket?
I have been there I don’t know 🤷🏾♂️ I am kinda on this dudes side on this one. I seen a child hit a lady in back of her head and the parents did nothing about it. Child free flights need to be offered asap.
