I love it that you are finding music here. Made my day. Start with Bow River Live, for Jimmy , Joe has plenty to. I liked with Beth Hart, who is a fiery female singer. Be well.

This is next level music, next level emotive story telling,& next level talent. Thankyou,so glad you liked our national treasure doing his thing. 🙂
He was 58 in this one. I might have already suggested/requested this song si if I have I am sorry. Jimmy Barnes Soothe Me with Sam Moore this song was released last year just after Jimmy turned 66.
You got it right you can tell he loves his wife with the lyrics coming straight from the soul you feel the emotion and every word and Joe just completes the song
Jimmy's son on drums, and his daughter Mahalia often sings with Joe and in Jimmy's band. Actually all his kids can sing. I just love the family involvement!
Jimmy laid eyes on his wife back in the late 70s, and was smitten since then. She didn't even notice him at that time and couldn't care less. They have been married and stay very much in love. He has openly stated she was the most beautiful woman he'd ever seen and was struck dumb at the sight of her. She stayed through the alcohol, drugs and all the other kids he had by other women and they are happier than ever today. It's lovely. They wrote this song together.
Struck Dumb. I love it, got a bit of a laugh going when I read that. julianah, I love your way with words. I appreciate your taking the time to give me that info. I love it. Gday.
My favorite singer all time - listened to him from my youth 70's - From rock to bluesy soul - He is remarkable really - age has not altered my opinion - You really must take a listen to the song that was released last year ( a re release of a cover he did) with one of the original singers from the 60's duo Sam and Dave who had this hit way back then - Sam Moore (86 at the time) absolutely fantastic vocals from both "Sooth Me'
Jimmy also does a great version of Mustang Sally which I think you’d love. You can also check out Mahalia Barnes and Joe Bonamassa doing Riding with the Kings. Mahalia’s been singing since she was knee-high to a grasshopper. Jimmys kids were in a group called the Tin Lids when they were little, the whole family is really talented.
Riding with the Kings was great. It is up on my channel , check it out. Meanwhile I wrote down Mustang Sally and will have give it a go. Thanks and be well.
Had your heard it before Donna. Did you know it was going to go like that for me. It you just saw it for the first time to was that good or what . The guitar tone and the voice. Very good. Thanks Donna, always so kind. Be well.
It's so good to watch you enjoying this performance from Jimmy and Joe... Jimmy is still rocking the stage now as he gets ready for another huge concert sharing the stage with many other well known Aussie artists. There is a very, very cool duet he did with the legendary Sam Moore last year "Soothe Me" also another Aussie great in Josh Teskey of the Teskey Brothers singing "Do You Love Me" I can see your face now with a huge smile...lol
Yes, yes. Please do both of these. Can't wait to hear and see your reaction to Josh Teskey, of the Teskey Brothers. Otis Redding reincarnated down under. love their latest releases, Take my Heart and London. Bridge and still haven't been able shake off Rain, from the colors studio. Just love it
@@OccasionalOutlaw No not that I'm aware of Jeff. The one with Jimmy and Sam Moore is the only one I know of....But it shows both of them when they were young and of course as of now. Very clever and very 'Smooth' lol.

Back in 2007 at the age of 50, Jimmy had open heart surgery to replace a faulty aortic valve. At that time he gave up smoking and abusing his body with drugs and cut down on his alcohol consumption and afterwards said he’d found that his lung capacity had increased so much that he could now sing even better than before with one lung slung over his shoulder, lol. Based on how he is still singing now at 67, that appears to be true. I speak to his beautiful wife on Twitter. She is super intelligent, has a massive social conscious and above all, she is very patient, loving and warm. Loving your reactions. Your joy is infectious, Jeff. 😃
That was as good as it gets, and there is a lot of as good as it gets from all of you. You ever get a chance , let his Mrs. know many of us care. I am 58 and just discovered this music. Gday cowboy.. yeh he’s been married to Jane for 42 years. She was the daughter of a Thai diplomat, she’s an incredibly intelligent and beautiful woman in every way. The couple have four children (Jackie is seen here playing drums). Jimmy also has two long lost daughters from a previous relationship and also a son David Campbell who is a popular tv celebrity but also a renowned singer and performer. He and Jimmy sing You’ll never walk alone together in what is one of my favourite performances you need to check it out!

@@OccasionalOutlaw the only thing I’ll add without giving a spoiler - as I think this will help you appreciate it more when you watch it- is that David didn’t know Jimmy was his father until he was 10. Jimmy was so young when David was born that David was raised thinking his grandmother was his mother and his mother was his sister, and Jimmy was a family friend who visited sometimes. Jimmy and David got off to a rough start and had ups and downs, but now are as thick as thieves, which makes this song so special and emotional.
I think Jimmy was around 56 or 57 in this video. I think it was around 2013 or 2014. Yes Jimmy and Jane have been married for over 40 years. The drummer in this is Jimmy's son Jackie
I said this on another reaction, yet I will say it again.. .I have seen Jimmy live nearly 20 times. He just gets better and better. This performance is in my top 3 all time performances of his. I loved your reaction, in fact I have loved all your reactions I have seen so far!

This song is fitting for his wife (Jane), she is a rock (foundation). Although I don’t know who this song is written for Jane ticks all the box’s. All the musicians here seem to cross over each others path and at times collaborate or support the other, as we see Joe Bonamassa with Jimmy and we see Mahalia tour with Joe, as vocal backup singer along with (2) other ladies, in the mix John Farnham has collaborated with Jimmy and so forth. Even though thanks to these reactors on UA-cam we have begun to enjoy these great talents which we may never have had the chance to discover or revisit years later to appreciate them better with matured ears. I believe this song is for Jimmy's wife. She is of Thai birth and has an interesting back story regarding Thai nobility ancestry and an an Aussie diplomat step-father. Joe Bonamassa was born in the USA and came to live in Australia at a young age. He has played with the best. It was written by Don Walker - not about Jane Barnes & not written for Jimmy, but he realized as he wrote it, the song would be perfect for Jimmy. Joe Bonamassa travels to Australia - he didn't move here at a young age. He lived for 18 years in N.Y (from birth) spent 20 years in L.A. & splits his time between NY LA & Nashville in between travelling the world.
@@stanroach2842 When I wrote that the song was FOR Jimmy's wife I did not mean the writing of it, but the sentiment in how Jimmy sings it. Somehow I got my wires crossed mixing Diesel up with Joe so, yes, you are correct as Joe has played with many musicians in the USA and has a great guitarist reputation there (and here).
On the Drums is Jacky Barnes and one of the backing singers is Mahalia on this track it was written by Don Walker the original studio recording was played by Mr Moss

Jimmy had a horrendous life as a child, got mixed up in destructive coping methods, she saved his life. They have 4 kids. His life has been put into a documentory, on the telly. Jane recounted one incident where she actually nearly died. Jimmy was in hospital, she wanted to cheer him up,,, so she went to the hospital in a rubber nurses outfit, like married folk wear to play games with. That was all well and good, he loved that, so she had to go home alone, he had to stay put. So Jane tried to get the dress off to change clothes. She hadn't realised, the man is supposed to remove such a garment. She was not strong enough to get out of it, nearly strangled herself. She ended up getting one of her friends to come over and help with that. So here she was telling this story, Jimmy beside her, on national telly. I don't think he has a boring marriage. They wrote a cookbook together, often cook for their expanding family, grandkids galore. They live on a property, out of town. Who could want more.
Jimmy was about 52 His wife is is the only one he's had she was a diplomats daughter and for them to be together he had to straighten himself up But in younger day he had a child with a lady in his home town Adelaide which he refuted for many years He's son is host on morning breakfast show and singer and they all sing to together at times He name is David Campbell at first Jimmy rejected him as his child but later acknowledged he is his child There are doco's on it with Jimmy and David talking about it Jimmy first one to say he's wasn't no angel and made mistakes in his life Also all the barnsey family get together at x mas and sing Jimmy and David done Corals by candle lights together You now need to look up this one more for the music jimmy's great but only a small part in this look up Jimmy barnes and Joe bonamassa lazy The musician's are outstanding you'll never see a multiple keyboard played like this it's just one big jam season with Jimmy to top it off Cheers mate🦘🇦🇺👍

🤩 Oh, man! I love Joe's guitar work. I was fortunate enough to see him live at Colorado's Red Rocks. Took my breath away and rocked the house with his amazing Blues! Sweet reacreaction!
Thank you. The drummer is Jimmy's son Jackie. Met in 1979 married to Jane since 1981.
Thank you bella, for confirming that for me. I like to know. That is so cool. Hello Jane and Jackie. Be well bella.
Just gorgeous thankyou
Thank you! Cheers!
this song is perfection!
I have watched this about 6 times and yours is the best reaction by far thankyou sir
Thank you kindly Cody. Great song.
Always a pleasure man.
I can't wait to watch you react to them do Deep Purple's, "Lazy". Both Jimmy & Joe are outstanding. But wait until you hear the keyboard player do his thing. Sensational.
Yes I love Purple , 785boats. Grew up with them. You bet I am going to have a look at Lazy
Priceless reaction man
Nothing sounds better than a Gibson Les Paul when played by an artist!!!
Hi Keseah, well said again. That tone was perfect, my opinion , He was killing it. Jimmy is just Jimmy. I expect it. to be great. What a voice. Thanks again for your time and support. It means a lot to me. So many good people out there. Are you a guitar player. I see the guitar and your terminology on the Gibson gives me the impression you are a musician. Take care.
@@OccasionalOutlaw That's right - I've been playing for about 13 years now, but I'm still far from being able to compete with such giants.
Great reaction mate Jimmy and Joe did a few songs together at this time in my opinion Joe is the greatest guitar player around and well Jimmy there is none better . Mahalia was singing back up in this song as well . Keep up the great reactions mate love it
He is singing this to his wife Jane. This was Jimmy's single in 1993.From the Album Heat. The name of his group was Cold Chisel! His 6th studio album.
You're bringing years to my eyes after ten seconds. Love how you love this stuff. Mutual virtual elbow bumping, eye rollingand rythmic nodding going on here.
It's so good and so emotional for me I'm having the time of my life and I really appreciate you and your kind words your support thank you for being here.

@@LizzieRD I hope you get a chance to see my Shooting Star video I made , Id like to know what you think how did it make you feel Today is opposite day you all react and review my music. Be well
As you said its great when artists put it all out there. Its also great when reactors do to. Nice one.
I appreciate that
Cold Chisel’s keyboardist Don Walker wrote the song and gave it to Jimmy to sing. Don talks about the song’s origins here:

Thank you , I have to go see. I appreciate it. Be well.
Great story. and I quote." Jimmy is great singing about Bloke stuff. Perfect. I believe he was driving around Sydney. Looks a lot here In Missouri a bit of places. Thanks mate, I enjoyed Don's story. It is the little things right . Be well.
@@OccasionalOutlaw Cheers. Not sure where they were driving. Don put out a number of those video to promote his book of lyrics. I do like Don’s comment at the end, that he’s going back tomorrow night. Peace.
@@OccasionalOutlaw He was driving through Eglinton, a small town on the northern outskirts of Bathurst (maybe heading to Mt Panorama to do a lap or two 😊)
I get to say “I told ya so” when I said the best was yet to come…. Yea me😁…and there’s still more to come 💖 I’m serving a life sentence in this rabbit hole and I love it💖
You're the best!
Beautiful, love your reaction, I've been playing that tune for awhile now and it still brings a tear or two..love from Australia ✌️❤️
Thank you so much!! Hello from Missouri
You will want to check out Joe Bonamassa and Beth Hart live: 'I'll Take Care of You'. I saw them live and I am so glad I did. Both are phenomenal performers with natural skill and talent, and it shows in their music. ENJOY!
Okay, I would love to. Thank you kindly. Got it on my list
Jimmy was 58 years old when he and Joe did this in 2014.
Everone has answered all your questions.. so ill just comments on your reaction. Your excitement while watching these two is contagious. I just love this song it always makes me happy and my grin got even bigger watching you enjoy it.
And I am enjoying it so much. I look forward to getting chores done so I can have a good time with music. Thank you carolyn, have a lovely day.
Well said Carolyn, saved me typing the same thing 😊👍
@@bernadettelanders7306 sometimes I'm late to the party. But I figure if the reactor has gone to the trouble of making a video especially when they enjoy it. I feel it's only fair to give them feedback.
@@carolynh8866 you usually beat me in here. We both must be busy doing um 🤔, doing the washing 🥴, gardening 💐, or hanging out in John Farnham groups 🎼🤗
Excellent reaction my brother
I appreciate it
Don Walker wrote this song about his daughter Danielle in about 1988 after Cold Chisel had split but gave it to Jimmy to record on his 1993 album Heat.
I just went and watched the video clip of Don talking about taking her to school and writing it. "Jimmy is really good at singing Bloke stuff." What a great quote.
Listen to it about once a week ❤
I put in on my playlist.
That Gibson is one sick looking guitar and who better to play it then Joe Bonamassa. Those vocals combined with those strings is phenomenal. Thanks for the reaction, enjoyed it greatly. You should check out one of my favourite guitarists from Indonesia his name is Alip Ba Ta
Remarkable comes to mind. These two together are great, is there more of Jimmy and Joe? I will check out Alip Ba Ta.Thanks George. Be well mate

Yes Jane is his first and present wife of many years. They have 4 kids. Jimmy also has an older son David Campbell whom is also a singer and hosts a morning TV show. Jimmy also has 2 daughters to another woman. So a total of 7!!!😁
Thank you Evie
If no one told you yet but Joe has Albert Kings guitar and his organ/keys player is Reese Wayans who played with Steve Ray and Double Trouble.
I did not know that Cynthia nobody had mentioned that that I remember seeing I'm going to go back and watch it again now thank you I appreciate that and your time of day. Be well.
Do the official video of Joe and Mahalia doing the John Hiatt tribute to Elvis, Riding With The King.
His sn is playing on the drums, two daughters are doing back up vocals, its written by the keyboard player from vold chisel don walkerin the midcto late 70$s
John Bonamassa is also great with Beth Hart singing "I'd rather go Blind" live at Amsterdam.

I believe Jimmy is 57 years old here
That's Jimmy's son Jackie on drums
Jimmy's Son on the drums.
Thank you for the good stories Kathleen. I love it. I did not know. Wonderful. I hope I find you well. G'day
Jimmy was about 52
His wife is is the only one he's had she was a diplomats daughter and for them to be together he had to straighten himself up
But in younger day he had a child with a lady in his home town Adelaide which he refuted for many years
He's son is host on morning breakfast show and singer and they all sing to together at times
He name is David Campbell at first Jimmy rejected him as his child but later acknowledged he is his child
There are doco's on it with Jimmy and David talking about it
Jimmy first one to say he's wasn't no angel and made mistakes in his life
Also all the barnsey family get together at x mas and sing Jimmy and David done Corals by candle lights together
You now need to look up this one more for the music jimmy's great but only a small part in this look up
Jimmy barnes and Joe bonamassa lazy
The musician's are outstanding you'll never see a multiple keyboard played like this it's just one big jam season with Jimmy to top it off
Cheers mate🦘🇦🇺👍
Thank you David for all of it. Much appreciated. George told me about lazy. Of course, Mate. Be well.
that is jimmys son on drums
Find a balance with the mic and the music mate, if we listen to the music at a good volume when you talk it blows the ear drums!
Hey hey its ya goofy m8te from Australia 😆 cold chisel -- [ cheap wine music video ] - [ Saturday night music video ] now now now go go go 😂 ya goofy m8te from Australia
Now that, was a heck of a reaction. It was a 'no brainer' that you would love this though I think. You put a huge smile on my face (and I was feeling a bit low), so thanks massively for that. I think everything has already been said in other comments, regarding Jimmy and his gorgeous family, but you can follow him on Insta or Facebook and see for yourself, talk about a loved up family (we're all jealous). Thanks again. ❤
Thanks TaniaPBear. I appreciate the kind words and your time. Lot more to go. Be well
