I love the current Mazdas because if you're a left foot braker and like to overlap the brake and the throttle after rounding the apex, or to neutralize understeer, they let you! Toyotas, Lexuses, Jeeps, and others will go into Limp Mode in my experience, lol. They also respond great to suspension preloading before a corner (where you turn the other way briefly before making your other turn to boost rotation) with the softer but very well dampened suspension.
I'm 6'5 I test drove this thing a couple day ago and I absolutely love it but it is a little small for me. I can't a better bang for buck hatch that's as nice as this one so I might just pull the trigger.
I also disagree with the statement that it isn’t as driver-focused as the civic. That's the entire Mazda brand focus. Civics are great but the Mazda is a lot better in my opinion as far as driving dynamics.
Mazda as a brand is more focused on driver dynamics, but Mazda3 vs Civic Si, the Si has the edge. Independent vs torsion beam suspension just one example
@@jubbalandcars I understand your POV, however, the Civic Si and the Mazda 3 are a lot different and I don’t think it’s a very good comparison. One is a sports car and another’s just a driver-focused premium car that focuses on pleasing the driver. Both are great cars though! Solid review btw!
From the day I purchased my Mazda 3 hatch, I had the dreaded squeak from the infotainment screen mounting. I traded the car specifically because of that noise, and the cheap material used for the steering wheel. The car was low mileage, and the steering wheel was flaking. No excuse for these kind of quality control issues.
Yes, it's a great car to lease. I have a Premium Plus Turbo sedan. But don't lease through TMCC d/b/a Mazda Financial Services. See the United States of America CFPB 2023 lawsuit against TMCC. They will ruin your credit as they did mine if any kind of glitch happens, even on their part with no fault of your own. Lease through a bank that you anticipate doing business with after you have completed your residency.
When are u getting that X5 xDrive40i to tow ur nd3 Miata? and what year are you best looking to get because I'm in the market for a used one too. Keep up the quality vids and ideas!!!
Don't really understand what they did here. If they had kept it enthusiast focused, with a manual and other modifications, they might have been able to compete with those who can't get their hands or GR Corollas and Golf Rs. Maybe their target market is those who want the luxury or BMWs/Audis, but can't afford one? Confusing move
I have a Mazda 3. Recently just started following you bc I was looking at ur Mazda reviews. Lucky to find you posting this gem, thank you.

What features are missing in the carbon from the premium plus?

If you want to drive in the canyons, that's what mx-5 is for. Mazda3 is a city car.

I mean the si is made to be a drivers car, but the Mazda will beat the normal Civic

Is it a good idea to lease this car while being a resident doctor?
Depends on the deal and your finances

Your issue was you aren’t driving a manual Mazda 3 I’ve driven both just got a 2024 the automatic was not impressive

My guy, the blurred speedo is not fooling anyone.🙃
If only it came with a DCT or manual 😞
Mazda3 base spec? Sure. At $33k? I would just get a GTI
Its not base the turbo has heated steering and seats etc. i own the 2021 turbo. Its an audi a3 competitor
@@prizefighterexileimagine the idea that a heated steering wheel and seats is equivalent to an Audi competitor
Still would choose this over a CX-50. This is build in Japan 🤌🏽🇯🇵
