    Regarding taking the baby car seat apart for cleaning, for people who are nervous about putting complicated things back together, it's helpful to take pictures of how they look before and during the process to make it easier to remember how it goes.

    You talked about hanging the tennis shoes on the dryer door to dry so they don't make noise while drying -- great idea. I also hate to wash dedicates that say "Dry Flat". So, what I do is clean off the top of my dryer, spread out the sweater (or whatever) and run a load in the dryer. The load gets dry and so does the sweater.
    Great tips in this video. It's been a while since I cleaned a child's car seat (my kids are 33 and 36), so thanks for the "brush-up" course.

      I think if you stop thinking about the satisfying end result you'll be able to get through it cuz if your rooms are too dirty it won't look clean for days and you'll start to get tired.
      Start by sorting the stuff into piles, like stuff to be thrown and stuff that needs to go to other rooms and such so you don't make too many trips.
      Then you can get to the actual cleaning.

    Melissa, thanks for your videos. I have a laminate floor. Sometimes my dog has accidents on it. I try to wipe it up quickly. About once a week I use my wet mop pad on it and a little vinegar to clean the floor. I see a lot of streaks and the next day it honestly looks dirty again. What am I doing wrong? I read where vinegar keeps it from streaking but it did not work with my floor. Help!

    • @FionaApplewright
      @FionaApplewright Рік тому +1

      I have hardwood laminate, not sure if that's the type you have too but I had a similar problem. I'll say right away, if you use any aerosol air fresheners it's probably half your problem. I cut them out and my floors were so much better after that.
      However, I also have animals whom sometimes have accidents and am terrified of bleaching my floor colours with pet stain removers, so before I do my weekly mop I use some warm water and mild dish soap to wipe with a cloth or papertowel the areas that I know accidents have recently or frequently happened, and I mop those areas with vinegar and water as well, but after the other main areas. If you miss a little bit one week, going back for touchups next week helps stop the buildup, which is why I focus on all their favorite corners every time. I've personally seen a big improvement!

    • @emc6511
      @emc6511 Рік тому

      I've accepted the fact that laminate flooring can either be clean and streaked or remain dirty. There; you're welcome. LOL I've found nothing that works; no product; no technique; no magic. New construction apartment; first time living with it. Lesson learned for next move; never again. Sure it is inexpensive and long lasting for the property owners; but what a cleaning nightmare. (And no they have no clue either; the offices and gym have it and also looks bad as mine) Hope someone reading this knows the secret to removing streaks; hard water spots; restore some shine.

    what’s the % of hydrogen peroxide you would buy for the recommended purpose? i found anything from 3% up to 99,9% and I have no idea what to buy

    • @natashadavies9569

      I used to use 3% for cleaning pet marks (don't use on painted wood!). When I had a very confused old cat I would buy a strong solution and dilute it down to approximately 3%.
      Which I realise doesn't answer the question here, I too would like to know.

    The refreshing of clothes- isn’t a that unsanitary to throw in the drier? The next time you use it is probably for a fresh load of washed laundry- especially underwear- and will germs/bacteria from the refreshed clothes not transfer? I love your videos but this is one I would never do- as my personal opinion 😊 food for thought
