  • This is a continuation from the last video. Here, we speed up the Shear Bending moment process by using the definite integral (i.e. the area under the curve) rather than the indefinite integral.
    For instance, we calculate the area under the V curve, and this gives us only the change in the M diagram (rather than the M equation). We then have to figure out the "shape" (e.g. linear, parabolic) using a little bit of clever reasoning.
    In the next couple of videos, we do some practice problems using both techniques
