Y’all should spend an entire day together. I think you both really deserve it . Especially as sisters that would be so fun. Love watching y’all together
Shelley I feel you hun, I made a promise to myself that I'm not begging for my families love or effection and it's made me feel so much better because the people who really love me are amazing
I totally agree of what you were saying Sheliy about over 40 and not feeling loved. I was the middle child out of five so I do understand not feeling loved at all.
I’m not a mom but I relate to a lot of what you said Shelley. I’ll be turning 45 in a couple months and I struggle with a lot of the same issues. I’m so glad you guys are comfortable with opening up like this. I know it’s going to help a lot of people!
I’m not 40 yet and I already have hit the I don’t care part 😂 especially like you said, “ having people around that truly don’t like me anyway” that hit home with family for me! It’s so much healthier to separate that in my life! Nailed it Shelly♥️
Crystal, I love your hair. I watched the video of it being done and when you said you didn't like it, I almost cried for you. It's important to feel positive after such a drastic change. I hope your growing into liking it more. I think it makes you look much younger. Poor Aaron. He just couldn't win and I laughed so hard at his many attempts at his "first impression". You guys crack me up. Please tell Aunt Bonnie I love hers too. I haven't had the guts to color mine but after watching all of the girls color their hair, I want to try it. You are all such an inspiration.
I completely agree with you Shelly! When I turned 40, I realized that as long as I liked myself, what others thought of me or if they liked me or not, I couldn't care less. It was astounding on how many people fell out of my life when I came to that realization and I honestly didn't care and still don't. If they don't like me, that's their thing, not mine. God bless you all 🙏💕🙏 #MOTHERHUSTLERSFAN4LIFE
I knew the blood pressure thing because anytime I'm at the ER and I'm in really bad pain my BP is elevated and they said that anytime you're in distress whether it be pain or anxiety related it can and oftentimes will raise your blood pressure. A good lil tibit of info to know so ty guys for talking about it. ❤️❤️❤️
40's were my best years. Energy, dancing , some kids grown, younger ones old enough to stay home. But now 65 I feel depressed, and do have adhd all my life. Shelly I don't bother with any of my sisters or brother after the way they treated me all my life. And both my parents are deceased. So I don't care..oh yeah I refuse to take meds as working with a counselor has helped me with depression. Both of you girls are beautiful mothers..ty for all u do..ty from a girl from Connecticut. Oh yeah I have 5 kids and 17 grandkids so it's so much fun having them all over at once
Okay I agree Shelly you hit 40 and your done people pleasing and putting on a fake smile to keep things/people content. When all you really want to do is call them out on their two faced BS. It’s absolutely freeing too!! Love you beautiful ladies💞💞💞
Shelley! Going through the "change" will make you feel what your feeling! I am the same age as you, starting to show the signs of going through the change as well. I haven't fully started it but won't be long! Lol.
I would love to see Crystal and Shelly go out go out and just shop for yourselves. You both deserve that and when your together the laughter comes into play, I know it’s easier said than done just a thought for a girls day out!
ADD and "anxiety/stressor" work together, and burns us out, hence the depression. And hence too your BP will fluctulate. ADD people are incredible good at what their passion is. Exercise is best medicine. All best Shelley. From mom with house of 4 ADD people. 💪
Shelley, Just a thought I was wondering if Peri-menopause might be part of your depression too? A lot of us start that early 40's and man it can hit your mental health hard and just flat line you. Its hard to maintain a sparkle during that time, you can be round everything you love and treasure and just not be feeling it. Lovely vlog ladies, thankyou for sharing!
Thank you for opening up. I feel like I am the only person that is having a bad day and things bug me that I feel a mom should not. Listening to you two makes me feel better that I am not the only one in this boat, also that I can do this. You are both amazing, thank you for being brave to open up to us all.
Shelly I'm right there with you on 2 aspects. When I turned 40 I really didn't care what people thought of me & my mother hated me everyday until I moved out at 18. She used to beat me everyday for everything & anything it did not matter, FYI she was an alcoholic my entire childhood. I broke the cycle of it. I think you & Crystal are amazing women. Keep smiling!! Love from California
Untreated adhd (add isn't an actual diagnosis anymore) is a SERIOUS culprit for depression and anxiety. And treatment isn't always prescription medication, but it's also ok if you need it. Can take multiple tries of different types to find what works for your brain, if you go that route later. Also, your losing interest in things you once loved is part of adhd - hyperfixations come from passion, when the dopamine leaves so does our attention. I'd encourage you to explore more about adhd, there's a lot of practical daily things that can help but also understanding how ADHD effects your brain chemistry is reallllllllly helpful. ♾️
Hi Crystal and Shelly . Shelly did you ever hear of white coat syndrome. Whenever you worry about going to the doctor and it makes your blood pressure to go up and some people even get sick to the stomach. I have it . Every time I go to the doctor's my BP is up and then when I'm ready to leave and they do my BP again and it would be normal. It's something to look into and read about.
Crystal, I ABSOLUTELY love your dark hair, aunt Bonnie's and everyone's ❤ now Shelly, I'm going to need you to do yours. Trust me you will be beautiful with dark hair 💙💜💚
Just so you know, taking ADHD meds usually works well if ADHD is your only issue. Properly prescribed doses almost always make an otherwise “balanced” person far better able to get his/her brain more focused and better able to keep all the plates of life spinning. For someone who’s clinically depressed, though, it can sometimes exacerbate the depressive side of things. I really, really encourage you to allow your therapist to prescribe for both, and give the medications a try simultaneously - even if it’s just for a few months, to see how things go. Also, I was blown away to be diagnosed with peri-menopausal depression myself in my 40s. I thought, “No way! I hardly ever cry.” That’s when I learned that Clinical depression is not the same as “feeling depressed.” Best wishes.
I love you two.❤ I found you all when you had a special with the Miller family . And I've been with you ever since.❤ So of course had to follow all the Crazies.❤ And your all good. Love your family relationships. I had to go back 8 years lots of blogs to watch when I can we don't have cable . So it amazes me the love you have and the closeness.❤
I feel I relate to Shelly so much, I also have depression and Adhd as an adult, I get over stimulated very easy, and although I had a good childhood, just believe things could have been better. I have always followed the keep it crazy brand, but watching this I feel such a connection with Shelly, and yes after 40 you could care less who likes you.❤
Shelly I absolutely feel the same way over 40 changed me as well wait till you hit 50!! I love you two thank you so much for sharing your lives and thoughts with us!! Crystal your dark hair is so amazing on you!!
I just have to say I have ADHD and I wasn’t diagnosed until I was 15. A lot of women who have ADHD/ADD actually have depression/anxiety. Crazy. I’ve been on meds for 11 years now🙃
It’s true- after 40 years of age, you just stop caring what people think. And it’s glorious. My question- with so many kiddos, how do you find time to give each one one-on-one time? Do you ever find yourself in a season where one kid takes most of your energy & time? If so, how do you find a balance so the others don’t feel left out?
As a foster parent myself hoping to adopt, I want to know how do you handle friends and family who don’t agree with you being a foster/adoptive parent. I have been fostering for 2 years now and one particular family member has not been supportive, constantly saying things like : why don’t you have your own kids that shares your blood? The Worst comment ever said to me was “ You not the real parents, you just a babysitter”
The only time I care about what people think is sometimes I ask my parents about certain clothes but otherwise I really don’t care what others thoughts and opinions are.
Shelley, maybe not feeling like you were loved was why you tried to people please & when you felt it didn’t work you said, I just won’t care what people think”
Do either of you believe in time out or standing in a corner when one of the younger kids get into trouble? I think you both have very good parenting skills! You both are amazing!
I agree with Shelly. One of my favorite mottos is, "Other peoples opinions of me are none of my business." Once I believed it, it was so freeing and all that heads space I can use for other things. It's wonderful.
That was interesting! It’s fun to see your distinct personalities. And Crystal - it’s taken the recent two videos to adjust to it, but now I really love your hair color! You already have a pretty face with lovely eyes, and the dark hair just frames it so well! 👍🏼
Crystal I LOVE YOUR HAIR. You look younger and like you mean business and living your best life. Absolutely beautiful. Aunts hair looks GREAT as well!!!!!!
Great discussion. I enjoyed hearing your points of view. As far as not caring about what people think about you , my experience is at 64 it doesn't matter as much as it used to but it's not gone. Love the dark lovely locks Crystal.
Hey Crystal and Shelly I tried cheez it chicken with my family and they loved it and considered it as a great meal for us. I loved the idea so thank you.😊
It’s fun to hear from both of you and see who I relate to more. I’m also an adhd 40+ mama, but like Crystal I have a better memory of my childhood than my older sibling. You are both amazing!
Thank you guys for sharing! I didn’t understand at 1st when Halie had her struggle 😢now coming out of a long term relationship I’ve struggled with depression. I take an add/depression med it’s wearing off. Iam trying as well hugs Shelly ❤
I LOVE this channel! I watch all of the "Crazy" famies member's channels everyday and have for at least 3 years now. I have always been curiuos if Shelly or Crystal was the first sister to adopt or foster and if you were inspired to adopt/ foster based on the others decisions to foster and adopt?Would love to see a birth/adoption timeline for all of all the Wallace and Pettit children together!
My Shelly Queen!!! I’m so happy you opened up about mental health and your mental health specifically. It’s so hard to talk about , especially being the one that is always needing to be strong - I had an inkling from some of the recent videos on the middles… but I’m happy your are able to talk openly about it. Especially w/ your bestie gurl Crystal. YOU ARE SUCH A LEGEND. Love y’all ❤❤❤
It’s so important to keep up w your mental health. Good for you to overcome the stigma and get checked out. I think it’s great to try to make improvements in your life (exercise, sleep, nutrition, peaceful time with a book and some hot tea). Just make sure to check in with yourself in case you need a little help with medication. If you had diabetes and tried to get blood sugar under control with diet and exercise, snd it didn’t work…you’d probably need some help with medication. There’s no shame in taking meds when we need a little help. But i think it’s great to try some lifestyle changes first. Best wishes.
Shelley… yes… after 40 I feel like as a woman our confidence in ourselves is so much better than it was when we were younger. I no longer cared what other people thought of me either. When I was younger I was terribly self conscious 🥰
Shelly, I felt a bit sad for you in the last question about parenting (as another older sister that felt similarly because my parents were WAY stricter on me than my younger sister) - but I am incredibly close with my parents and sibling as an adult and they will forever be my rocks and BFFs ❤. You said you still feel like a “black sheep” and struggle to feel loved. I see Joanne helping with Crystal’s family a lot but have you two healed and are you in a good place now or do your kids have a close relationship with Grandma Joanne like the Crazy Pieces seem to really have? Or are there bonding issues that have crossed generations there too? Thank you for your open and honest discussions about these issues, mental health and self care. As a Nana myself, and a mom to 2 sons, your channels have really been a blessing to me - I do hope you BOTH feel love and support from us all. Empowering each other is a beautiful thing. Blessings! ❤ Nana Jan
Shelly I agree after 40 you have to think about your health and what’s good for you. I did the same thing, took the toxic people out of my life. It did take a few times to finally say enough was enough with some family members
I can’t get over how cute Crystal looks with dark hair. It’s perfect.
Same
I know I absolutely love it and she is looking so much younger ❤
She needs to keep it.
especially in this lighting her overall features and everything shines !
I love it🥰
I love the dark hair crystal
Crystal I love the dark hair 🎉
Y’all should spend an entire day together. I think you both really deserve it . Especially as sisters that would be so fun. Love watching y’all together

Shelley!! You are incredible and to be so vulnerable! It was great to see you open up 💕 Love these videos!
Agreed!! ❤
I like this set up for your show. It seems much more comfortable than you all standing in front of a bed. This was overall a great video!
Crystle and Shelly, thank you for being so open about mental health.
I’m obsessed with the lighting in this video! I love hearing yall talk . Very relatable & connecting.
Shelly, the thing you were saying about losing passion for things is actually very common in ADD and ADHD ❤️
Shelley I feel you hun, I made a promise to myself that I'm not begging for my families love or effection and it's made me feel so much better because the people who really love me are amazing
P.s. thank you for sitting down 😂
I totally agree of what you were saying Sheliy about over 40 and not feeling loved. I was the middle child out of five so I do understand not feeling loved at all.

I love how close you guys are as sisters and how you are so open with each other even if it's about difficult subjects.
YES WHO CARES what others think ladies! You are both amazing ppl and parents.
I’m not 40 yet and I already have hit the I don’t care part 😂 especially like you said, “ having people around that truly don’t like me anyway” that hit home with family for me! It’s so much healthier to separate that in my life! Nailed it Shelly♥️
I’m 43 and i feel the same way and it is very liberating!
Crystal, I love your hair. I watched the video of it being done and when you said you didn't like it, I almost cried for you. It's important to feel positive after such a drastic change. Yep! Don't care ! The people who are close to you know who are and love you . I could care less.. I'm 51

I'm glad someone said it! A good friend started the change in her mid 30's so it's not early and can be happening.
I felt that when I turned 50. I could care less what people think of me. I’m happy and this is what matters.
awww i love shelley and everything that she shared with us ! she is brave
I would love to see Crystal and Shelly go out go out and just shop for yourselves. You both deserve that and when your together the laughter comes into play, I know it’s easier said than done just a thought for a girls day out!
Great idea!
Thank you
I really believe we change how we parent as we get older and the more kids we have.
You all have the cutest laugh! Aunt Bonnie, your momma and Crystal and Shelley laugh exactly the same. ❤

Crystal's hair is fabulous! I love the dark hair on you crystal!
CRYSTAL the leather and the HAIR omg you look legitimately incredible 😍
Wow, so happy Shelly shared her ADD diagnosis. I had no idea. I have it too. Mine is a mix of inattentive and hyperactive though
I’m the same Shelly, I stay up late and get up early. It only gets worse the older you get !
Every time I go to the doctor I have my blood pressure high because of my anxiety
I love crystals hair!!! Love the dark color

I'm definitely a people pleaser as well. I've been able to focus on the positive and absolutely agree 40 changed me in the same way!
Crystal looks so young and youthful with this hair omg. Best decision ❤
When I turned 40, I stopped caring what others thought of me. So I understand where you're coming from. Either you like me or you don't.
The dark hair was such a move omg 😍😍 she looks gorg
I love how you two laugh together.....reminds me of your mom and aunt bonnie
Agree - you hit a point you just don’t care what peps think
Shelley, maybe not feeling like you were loved was why you tried to people please & when you felt it didn’t work you said, I just won’t care what people think”
Shelley, there are supplements that help with depression that you can try instead of meds. That’s what my dr told me & they helped.
Dark hair on Crystal is so beautiful. Great video ladies. Mental health is so important. I can so relate to you Shelly.
Do either of you believe in time out or standing in a corner when one of the younger kids get into trouble? I think you both have very good parenting skills! You both are amazing!
the books crystal has mentioned sometimes talk about time outs but call it taking space, but i highly doubt they do standing in corner
Yes Shelly-after 40 my give a darn went away! Focused on myself and what made me happy
Shelly is so pretty! I love her hair styled this way
Crystal I LOVE YOUR HAIR. You look younger and like you mean business and living your best life. Absolutely beautiful. Aunts hair looks GREAT as well!!!!!!

Shelly, you are amazing! Thank you for opening up about everything❤
I am over 40 and I stopped caring about what other people think.
Hey Crystal and Shelly I tried cheez it chicken with my family and they loved it and considered it as a great meal for us. I loved the idea so thank you.😊
I would love to see them do a video where they had a cheez it chiken cooking competition and had the kids blind taste test
I agree with you Shelley I feel like I’m the black sheep of my family also a lot of rejection. I enjoyed this video
love spilling tea! ya sweet seeing Crystal w keeping her darker hair which looks so good
Really loved this episode! Well done ladies!
Usually people in their late 70s don’t care. It’s actually pretty funny hearing their stories. Lol
Love the dark hair on crystal 😍
It’s fun to hear from both of you and see who I relate to more. I’m also an adhd 40+ mama, but like Crystal I have a better memory of my childhood than my older sibling. You are both amazing!
I agree with you Shelly. I’m the Black Sheep too
