That's what makes you a great teacher and player. You are able to isolate what to most people would be a " cliched" lick, and bring attention to the nuances that make it special. Thanks Mike.
Some possible added interest for tone-chasers - Eric was playing Blackie, with his pickup selector switch in the ‘out-of-phase’ position (2, I think), through a Music Man amp.
The first blues album I bought back in the 60s, was called The Blues Vol.1--a various artists compilation of Chicago blues. It was a perfect introduction in that it had tracks by Muddy Waters, Sonny Boy Williamson, Buddy Guy and Howlin' Wolf. One of the tracks was a version of Worried Life Blues by Chuck Berry and it quickly became one of my favourites. I confess I'm not too familiar with Clapton's version so I shall check it out.
I have a desperate request for Albert King As the years go passing by.. from 1969 Wisconsin, it’s on youtube. I’m fumbling my through trying to play it in Cm

Thanks for starting this series back up. You have the best understanding of Clapton of everyone on the internet.

Thanks Mike! By the way, what kind of strings are you using?
10-46 Ernie ball
Is there a tab?
You can be forgiven for ‘having’ to use a Marshall, Mike 😂
