I swear to god half these people DO NOT no anything about proper boating skills. Much less etiquette for other boaters. Overloaded boats, nobody wearing life jackets, speeding, and i'm quite sure drinking. And the list goes on and on.

Your videos are good evidence of the absolutely idiots that operate boats in that 3rd world country of South Florida! And the fact that the cops and FWC allow child endearment just goes to show the regard they have for human life down there!

Costs money to create law enforcement and the serious crimes Florida deals with stupid boaters just isn't a priority until someone dies and the feds get involved with traffic safety. Feds start to take notice of roads with too high fatality rate I am certain boating waterways would also have that scrutiny. You could ask the coast guard I am sure they don't like it but they have a lot of smuggling they need to prioritize in the keys and farther south.
The kids with no life jackets have no choice. Horrible parenting

I saw that then the jackets hanging on the back of seats! WTF I don’t have kids but that person needs to have the stupid slapped off them. Priorities right?
the large power catamaran powered through that chop like a champ. As a rule of thumb, they say a catamaran style hull handles like a mono hull 1.5x it's size. So a 30ft cat would handle waves like a 45ft mono hull. Not too mention you have more space because they're usually wider.

Nice to see parent who keep the life jackets out for their kids. Too bad it will be too late to get them on when something happens. Isn’t it a law that children in a boat need to wear a vest? It’s law here in Maine and I made sure my kids wore one when they were young.

someone should conduct a "how to" clinic specific to this inlet....but then again...these videos are fun to watch
The best thing is to tilt the engine up so that you raise the forward ship, then you avoid meeting the waves with the forward ship, but rather with the lower part of the hull. I think some do, but there are very few. Rough seas and flat bottoms never become friends anyway.

Surely these galahs at the helm of these boats have seen enough clips of how dangerous it is to have passengers in the bow in rough conditions ,especially kids .I wouldn’t let these incompetent boat owners in my row boat let alone a power boat.

The clown at 7:07 will eventually get himself and El' Captain a generous citation. If I were to ride a jet ski in those rough waters, where one could easily not be seen by the "Speed Queens." I would have a flag on the back like the buggies traversing the dunes. So what was the Captain in the DGS Monster doing at 20:07?

It seems like the outboard motor yachts are handling the water better than the other boats and it also seems like the cruiser yachts with a fly bridge aren't doing well in rough water.

Most of this was just normal boating on rough water. Not really seeing much fail here. And honestly it's nothing compared some of the things I've seen on rough seas.

No, but my lake has 2' waves max, not 10'+. And I see lots of kids in these vids who are obviously way younger than 14 not wearing life jackets. Once you are looking at 6' waves like you see in many of these clips everyone should be wearing a jacket no matter what the rules say.

As a dog owner it pisses me off to see people bringing their dog in the boats. Dogs are not equipped to keep their balance in rough water. If your dog falls out there is a good chance that it will be injured very badly. Grow up if you love your dog.
