The very first morning I woke up my whole body didn't ache like it has for years. Im 62, 6' 7" and diabetic and I chocked it up to old age. I started taking the drug to help with anxiety and then I started reading and watching UA-cam to educate myself. Not waking up in pain everyday is a great side effect for me.

I have been on drug therapy for over 50 years. Initially I was prescribed meds; that if the dosage was too high; I was flying,
    and dangerous!
The list of meds prescribed has been endless, some producing short lived improvements, others caused more frustration
due to little effect. From 1968, anti depressive drugs have developed as the understanding of depression has improved:
    thank goodness.
My GP prescribed Duloxetine over two years ago. I started on 20mgs but during the following 6 months, I was I was stepped
up to 60 and then 120mgs. My attitude was that after all this time; with serious career and personal ups and downs; let’s go
    for it.
I have now had the happiest period of my adult life bar none. Yes, I am not out windsurfing etc any more but my family life
and personal relationships have never been better.

Could you please do a video on how these medications can cause emotional numbness? I was on this for nearly 3 years. It not only numbed my pain, but it numbed everything else too. I lost the ability to feel most emotions except to the extreme, and I had zero sense of urgency. The side effects I went through Getting off Cymbalta were totally worth my regaining senses.

I've been taking cymbalta (duloxetine) 60 mg for quite a few years. If I forget my dose, withdrawal symptoms set in and I get a whooshing noise in ears and I feel unbalanced. I can't say whether it helps or not, I still have very high anxiety and depression. Wanted to try something different but I don't have a psychiatrist to switch me over and my general doc won't do it because he's not a psych. A previous gen doc put me on it. So I'm stuck. *Cymbalta was a godsend* I had a back injury which caused a circumferential disc bulge meaning the disc flattened and bulged out on all sides which caused sciatica pain in both legs. After many drugs to get the back pain under control, Tramadol was the winner. But it didn’t touch my sciatic nerve pain. . . my legs burned so bad by the end of the day I’d cry myself to sleep and wish that I could cut them off because I figured that would hurt less than the feeling of them being on fire all the way down to my feet. I no longer have that daily burning leg pain.
If I do a lot of physical work to aggravate my back I will sometimes get a bit of breakthrough sciatic pain but it goes away with rest/heat/Advil. Cymbalta is 💯 worth it for me. It’s taken me from disabled to living a good quality life. Anyone thinking about taking it please don’t be discouraged by this.

Where is the cannabis plant remains illegal and does actually have medical benefits in every one of these fields that Cymbalta wishes they had a hold on. The best part about cannabis is with some training you can grow medical grade cannabis at your home if you have a few extra dollars and a whole lot of time to research and learn the plants. Duloxetine is one of the best in its class. I began taking the drug for depression when the drug came out in 2014, and I have been taking it ever since. I started on the 60mg dosage, but last year, I began having more depression than the drug could deal with. I asked my psychiatrist, and he was glad that I mentioned that to him. There is such a thing as "burnout" with this medicine. I'm not sure if he meant SNRI burnout or duloxetine burnout; regardless, he suggested that I double my 60mg dose so now, after fifteen years taking the drug, I take 120mg in the morning. I have to say that my depression has improved with the new dosage. It is naive to think that there is a pill that will take care of every iota of one's depression, but I swear, I am doing better and that's what counts. Anyway, regards, doctor and community.

Neither Cymbalta or the other three or four antidepressants that I've tried it in the last 15 years have done a damn thing for me. Cannabis is the only thing that works for me. Which I'm grateful for because cannabis isn't going to kill me. And I know there is a withdrawal effects of cannabis because I've gone through it but that's only because I take close to a pound a month and when you go from a pound a month to nothing you're damn right you're going to hit some withdrawals and they're not going to be fun they're going to last for almost a month and a half. Like they did on me. But those withdrawals are a whole lot easier than withdrawals from painkillers or any of the 24 medications that I withdraw from or actually the 24th when I'm on right now. None other can speak to that the way cannabis can

My experience going off it is like a horrible hangover with severe anxiety and it's out of nowhere and out of character for me. Extreme exhaustion in my chest, nausea, clenching teeth, ears ringing and headache. It just lingers and sticks around and I'm taking it for fibromyalgia. It makes me feel so sick 🤢 and it causes a horrible low mood like after a big, ugly break up and profound broken heart feeling. It zaps the life out and yet hard to get to sleep. Too exhausted and tense to relax, and when I do finally doze off I wake up from night terrors and weird livid dreams. It's not worth the suffering when there's other treatments available. This medicine should be banned.

I still have one step up to 60 mg to get to the recommended 60 mg therapeutic dosage to reduce pain. I’ll update here for you ASAP. So far I have NOTICED LESS FATIGUE and moodiness. Cymbalta was great for my chronic pain, until I became allergic to it, and it gave me eczema and then deep tissue hives and swelling on my hands, for weeks before I finally figured out it was the Cymbalta. The episode I had after I went off the first round of prednisone for the hives was escalated, now my lips and hands swelled and had hives on my face and hands and arms. My doctor told me to start tapering off, but wouldn’t give me another round of steroids and I’m much too afraid my airways will swell, so I’m going off it cold turkey after taking it for 2 years (60mg) ... so I’m on day 3 and the brain zaps, visual disturbances, I feel like when I walk the earth is having an earthquake, flu-like symptoms...and I need to work tomorrow, this is just fabulous

These drugs are evil. Doctors make money from them, and they like the companies that sell pretend uts great, even research is altered to make it sound better. You are better off finding natural methods.

Cymbalta is one of the hardest things I have ever quit. Quitting adderall wasn't as hard. The withdrawals are no joke. I'm not suicidal at all like some but the withdrawals from this stuff makes you feel like you're dying. You will get jitters, brain zaps, burning sensations, bad dry mouth, and facial paresthesia. I would not recommend this drug to anyone. Try something safe like Prozac or Lexapro. Even switching from this drug to Prozac gives you severe withdrawals. LIKE SERIOUSLY... DON'T TAKE CYMBALTA.
