Slight correction... he didn't pay off the 93 accuser to make it "go away". The reason was wrapped up in California law. The case was a civil suit (Evan Chandler, the accuser's father wanted a cash settlement) not a criminal suit as most people think. A criminal trial was expected to be attempted. In order to defend himself in a civil trial, Michael would have to lay out the defense he would use in a criminal trial in the civil trial, which would allow the prosecution time to tailor their entire case to fit. It's like handing the other side your playbook. This is no longer legal in the state of California. The law was changed shortly afterwards. There was really no choice in the matter but to settle the case with the payout Evan Chandler wanted, because defense in a criminal trial is more important. Thankfully, the judge was savvy to what Chandler was doing, and put the entirety of the payout in a trust for Jordan so Evan couldn't have access to it. A criminal trial was attempted twice (both 2 grand juries failed to indict Michael) and Jordan Chandler, the accuser, refused to participate. He later went on to confess to his college classmates (see the documentary Square One) that nothing untoward ever occurred with Michael and that he was forced by his father to participate in the civil trial. Really messed up situation.
For the record, I was great friends with Michael for most of my life and he was 100 percent innocent. He was the best person I have ever known and the world was blessed to have him.
Michael Was A Wonderful Musical Artist And So Down To Earth And Graceful And Caring To Everyone Especially All His Fans Around The Whole World I Remember When His Thriller Album Come Out And '' Mtv '' Cable Channel Come Out Early 80's And Janet I Believe Would Be Touring In Big City's With, If He Was Still Here, We All Will Always Miss Him.
This is correct!!!!! Makes me happy there are people out there who DO KNOW the entire TRUTH....
@@Hevynly1 wow, what a blessing! Everything that I know about him I've researched heavily. I know without a doubt that he didn't do anything to those kids he "supposedly " molested. Being close to him was all about the Benjamins to most people, not even getting to know him as a person. Such a shame, because he always had trust issues because of that.
@@MiJacFan1 He had a few good people in his life who wanted nothing from him. But not as many as he deserved, that's for sure.
My birthday present to myself this year was a portrait tattoo of Michael singing. He's my comfort music for just about any given situation and no one could ever imitate or recreate the greatness he's left on this world.
I feel that way about Kurt Cobain. 🤕
I visited that house in 1993 since I was a big MJ fan. The fence, plaque, and statue were not there then. I also remember that the neighborhood was pretty shady and not safe.
Especially that area. I grew up in Hammond Indiana, not far from Gary. Most of Gary is not safe
Yes saw it in 73 more land there too.
I think they tore something down also
Anywhere in or near Chicago isn't safe!
We visited around 2013 with my mom and sister. We could definitely tell there was something odd about the area. One guy tried to flag us down, wanting to sell us toothpaste.
So you visited the original and probably how Michael wanted it to stay. It always brought back the original magic. And now they own the other house next door too.
I love Michael Jackson!! The man was such a musical genius. He wasn’t the King of Pop for nothing. I was so sad and devastated the day he died. He was one of the few celebrity deaths where I actually cried
He made yet another world record when the news crashed Google!
I cried as well it was like a family member died and after that so much changed
I cried as well it was like a family member died and after that so much changed
me too :(
Michael Jackson was Elvis Presley of pop music.
The landscaping is lovely and the locks touching. I cried the day he and Farrah Fawcett passed away. It was like a piece of childhood for a collective of 70s kids was truly gone.
I cried for days and days after MJ and FF died :( that was a huge chunk of my teen/young adult years just gone in a flash (or so it seemed to me at the time). I miss them both very much and think of them often. It truly was a very dark and sad day for sure!!
all my childhood memories are slowly fading away...
I never cared for Farrah, but I remember sitting in McDonald's eating when it was live on their TV that Micheal was dead. I started breaking down so hard I choked on my cheeseburger. I remember that vividly.
@@play4u67 Totally agree!
@@tyroneaugustine229 You are so right. Jordan is documenting that history for all of us. It was a special time.
Home run Jordan! I wonder how Michael would have turned out if his father wasn't such a horrible person? Looking forward to your next!!
Very good question...
He would be normal to everyone's (well most people's standards) standards and expectations.
He probably wouldn’t have been an entertainer or one of the greatest artist of our time
Jordan, i know it is widely believed that Diane Ross discovered the Jacksons and got them a deal at Motown, but if you look a little deeper into your research, you will find out that Bobby Taylor (of Bobby Taylor and the Vancouvers) is the person who discovered them and took them to Berry Gordy at Motown, and got them signed. Taylor even produced their music for several years. This headline is from Billboard Magazine, but references Rolling Stone Magazine. "Bobby Taylor, the singer and producer who discovered The Jackson 5, has died at the age of 83, according to Rolling Stone magazine."
True. Diana Ross was just a well-known singer at the time that Barry Gordy felt would help get the Jackson’s attention if he said she discovered them. She had nothing to do with their discovery. Michael did live with her for awhile once they moved to LA and they became very close lifetime friends. She exposed him to art and he became a magnificent artist too.
Was just about to comment on that. Thanx for pointing that out.
Reading this made me know to not watch this. Everyone knows Ross did not discover the Jackson’s and it’s so annoying that people make content without a simple google search or any research.
@@Luvumj2 This vlog is for entertainment purposes. If you don't agree that Jordan entertains, then you have no taste.
I heard a crazy rumor that Diana Ross was his mother.
The Demon house really intrigues me because it's rare to have CPS, Medical staff, and law enforcement all vouch that, yes demonic activity did occur in this case.
I visited the Jackson 5 home in October. I couldn't believe how small the home really is in person. It's amazing how they all fit in there.
RIP Michael Jackson The Greatest Entertainer Of All Time
Discovered by Gladys Knight first, then a year later by Bobby Taylor. Motown (Berry Gordy) ultimately said Diana Ross because she was the bigger name (and close to Mr.Gordy) so she got the credit. This is according to the Questlove Supreme podcast, The Jackson’s (Marlon, Tito & Jackie) were interviewed.
That’s what I always heard.
Link plz.
Exactly 👍
I'm so glad you spoke from your heart and soul of Michael Jackson and his family Jordan. Your were very respectful and true to your words . I felt a wonderful vibe watching you speak as though he was with you . Such a beautiful memorial to him and his family . ⚘
Thanks for taking the time to share the Demon 😈 house 🏠 story , now that was very interesting and scary at the same time . Alot happens in a small town of Gary to say the least Wow! Happy Holidays 😊.
I agree. Jordan respect for the family was one of the best parts of this story.
Growing up with the Jackson 5, I always feel so sad with everything that happened to most of them in later life. Joe Jackson was f'in evil and exploited and abused ALL those kids, especially Michael. I think Michael did experience physical abuse, but most damaging was the psychological and emotional abuse he faced from his father. IMO, any problems Michael had can be traced back to Joe Jackson.
I agree. I'm still stunned by Joe's abuse which Michael, especially, had suffered through, and his brothers.
People say that. But Joseph is who they all depended on. He was always at their shows. When you see Michael or his brothers they would tell about the whippings they got but would remind us we all got whipped but they also told us how they loved Joseph. At the end of the day though if he was so terrible they all wouldn't have been at his funeral. They were all there together I saw the whole thing through a family member. It was very peaceful. I'm sure Michael would have been there too. They all including his daughter that took pictures Johvonnie she held his hand before he died. Anyway she helper keep the rumors about him out of the media. She wrote a book. Called " Bastard Child" and she was on tv with it. This book talks about how she grew up and how she got along with the family. It was rocky in the beginning until her mother died and Mrs. Jackson was hurt for a while 25 year secret yes you would be. Anyway Mrs Jackson and her sister Rebbir helped bury her mother. They all became very close before Joseph died. So those rumors were desolved. Infact Janet did her last SOTWT in our town and it was just after Joseph died and she stopped the show to talk about Joseph just like her brothers did. They said they really couldn't go on withour Joseph because he was always there supportung them. The children won't lie. They all loved him. Janet said Randy talked her into that show she did because Joseph would want her to go on. I got those same kind of beatings myself when I was a kid. Now as far as them calling him Joseph that's what I didn't understand. Still I thought it was cute in a way but maybe he wanted them to feel like he was more of a business man. They only knew. Still the results of how all the children and family were there for him at his end speaks for a lot. Rip him and his brother Luther he was a very nice man with wonder children. He just passed this year. Mjever.
Nobody was talking abuse when fans were buying the records.....fans want it both ways....they want to say he was born to entertain then say at the same time he was driven by his father to sing..
...its either one or the other
@@scorpionJB Right ON!! I agree with you!! 💘
@@PropertyandCasualtyAgent Good shot!! People have to really look between the lines of all of this hollywood rumor stuff and look into how the whole family felt about King Joseph!! People always want to bring a great person down. Yes even Michael said he just told some stories because it was a Hollywood thing. He told the real truth like his sibblings did for people that wanted to hear their true feelings. They loved that man and when you protect who you love most then people will try to sabotage it. I hear the real family talk about him now, they can barely go on without seeing him sitting there watching them perform and giving them the " Let's Go Ahead."" People only hate Joseph through those fake stories they heard not because they knew or met the man and I bet they couldn't tell him how bad he was to his face. All of these years and he had theeee perfect set of children!! Even the one he had on the side that the family loves now. You have to look at the results. The true results. They all buried him together and held his hand in the end. The very end with the whole family together. We can't get any better than that. Rip beautiful ones.
Used to live 15 minutes away and now I live about 30 but my mom dated his cousin after he passed and I was able to go inside and look at the memorabilia they had! They still had the original drawing in the closet Michael got in trouble for. Unforgettable experience
Also, Gary was not always like that, I encourage you to do a little research about how much history is actually there but I definitely recommend if you dont live there leave by 7 in the warmer months and 4 in the colder months
Yes, I'd like to know about the drawing as well :-)
I am old. I grew up watching MJ. A huge fan. I have never been able to believe he had anything to do with the accusations. You can see he was very child like himself. He is finally at rest. I pray, he is at peace. TY for doing this one. Well, these two. Lol the second one is so interesting! Have known that story for a while. Too interesting
The house has definitely been upgraded. If you went by there in the eighties and nineties, you would have never known it was their house. The first time I saw it, I thought it was a garage. Michael visited the area once in the late nineties or early two-thousands, but at the height of their careers the Jacksons seemed to want nothing to do with Gary, Indiana. I think now they are aging, and the city cleaned this house up, they are a little more involved. It's cool they finally preserved it, but Gary is a dangerous mess of a city. Thanks for the great videos as always, Jordan.
Hey inside and out that would have been nice if that house had been that pretty. Hardly anybody until Michael died actually knew this house existed. Glad I saw the original so we can visualize how they really came up. Even the school looked better. Look like they could just jump the fense and get to the school. I loved hanging out with the family there in between 2009 just before Michael passed away untill 2016. It was a great time giving back. As far as that haunting they just staged that because they wanted the people to move out. So they could tare the houses down. They own those other houses. Yes everybody left. As we visited it each year something different happened to the neighborhood untill it was just the Jackson house there. Also people should know all of the streets were named after The USA presidents. Joe just happened to move on Jackson street. Meaning Andrew Jackson.
Exactly be like any othet
How interesting. I've never seen anyone cover the Jackson house in Gary Indiana where they were from. I never heard about the Demon house. Could you count that it started raining as you left the lot as something? LOL Thank you for showing us The Jackson's home and the Demon House lot. Very interesting stories. Stay safe and take care.
I agree with you, I've never believed the accusations. I think it was always a money grab. He was the best, most amazing artist/entertainer ever IMO, I have always & always will love Michael. Thank you for doing this, I never get tired of hearing about him. I was crushed when he died, sat with a box of kleenex & watched the entire funeral. I think Jermaine said it best when he died, "You were too beautiful for this world." He was such a gentle soul with a beautiful heart & I'm glad no one can hurt him anymore. Love, hugs & God Bless you 💞💞
I have loved The Jackson’s from my childhood!! Im with you Jordan, I just never felt like Michael was guilty how the accusations made about him. Broke my heart to know how he must have felt so tormented by them.
Would have loved to have seen him perform. RIP MJ❤️
my first concert! my mom took me and my brother to see the jackson 5 when i was little and my mom was very cool! THANKS MOM!!
Another great vlog as always Jordan. My dad was a big Jackson 5 fan, he still has his 8 track tapes of them. So cool to see the home he grew up in. Maybe someday you can go back there when it's open. Take care buddy.
I grew up listening to the Jacksons and the Osmonds music. Was he ever really happy. He tried so hard considering what he went through. Thank You for sharing. Very Interesting.
Thank you for the information about the broken nose. He was also burned severely while filming a music/dance number.
Yeah they were practicing a commercial for tv
Fascinating vlog, Jordan! As brilliantly talented as Michael was, his childhood was anything but "normal." His father did quite a number on him psychologically and emotionally. It's nice to see that his original home is in such good condition.
There will never ever be a Artist as Great Michael. EVER!!!!!!
I remember hearing the song "2300 Jackson St." as a kid and thinking "Is this just a song?" Then of course later I found out it's a legit location. Great coverage my friend. I hope you and Jah continue to stay amazing.
Just a little FYI Jordan, read up on Toto and how much they had to do with the Thriller record. You would be amazed how much those guys' contributed to that record performance and production-wise. All top notch session players that Quincy loved to use, especially the Porcaro brothers. Great vids, keep up the great work dude!
Im very aware of toto
@@DazewithJordantheLion Sorry to assume, you'd be surprised how many have no idea of that fact. "Toto? You mean the dog from Wizard Of Oz?"is what I usually get.
Careful in Gary
Jordan, that is great story. The Jackson house to me is a real piece of history. Your a great story teller. Have a great day from Missouri.
I like him too.😊
They own both houses there now. So you can't just show off that little house. This wasn't the original look before Michael passed and I'm glad I was there before Michael died. Before they flipped it. It's beautiful how they did it over but it wasn't as magical as it was when it looked like the original house did in the 1900's. No gates or nothing like that and people would just come see it. The Brothers told us tons of stories that went on in that house. Only we didn't know they had cousins all over Gary and they had way more famiily and friends when they came up. So they had family to practice music with too. In fact it was their uncle Luther, that taught Tito how to play his guitar. We should have known how they actually lived. They later moved somewhere close to that house off Chicago before they went to L.A. Haven Hurst.
Hi Jordan, well, what a lovely little house. So nice to see the place where their music history started. I love the little plaques that they have on the paths. Great vlog Jordan.
Thank you Jordan for this video clip, and those beautiful remarks about Michael, it was beautifully said. I remember during the live memorial service at the Arena for Michael I heard Marlon mention to Michael to tell Brandon that he loved him. So, I did some research and I found out that Marlon & Brandon were born several weeks premature, and Brandon ended up with a respiratory failure within the 24 hour after birth, how sad. Michael not just dealt with his nose, but when his scalp got burnt that also affected him BIG TIME! The way his pain was handled I didn't like it at all, By the way Jordan, I want to wish you and Jah, a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from Athens, Greece🎄⛄
He also had lupus (a very painful disease).
Summer 1970, Whiting, Indiana (lilly white neighborhood 20 miles northwest of Gary). We grew up on Motown and the Chi-Town recording labels (and rock of course). Hanging out on a Saturday afternoon in this small town, kids walking the streets, we heard a really cool sound coming from the playground of the local school. It was all fenced-in, but we could hear and see this group called THE JACKSON 5. Admission was $5, but no one had it, so we all watched through the fence. SUMMER 1972 - JACKSON 5 was now playing all the AM stations and they were going to do their first Chicago concert at the Aire Crown Theater at McCormick place. Tickets were $5. Now we could afford it. GREAT CONCERT.
Great vlog, Jordan! I just love how you tell a story, you make it so I can envision it all in my mind. I have never been a Michael Jackson super fan, I enjoy his music like so many others. The Off The Wall came out when I was in High School, and I remember the first time I heard Billie Jean. A bunch of us girls after school stoped at a Der Wienershnitzel (sp), and it was a pretty cool moment!! The Demon House, scared the 💩💩 out of me! Anyway, enjoyed the Jackson video!!! 🌼
Great vlog. Loved seeing the Jackson house. I’m glad you didn’t step on the property of the Demon House. You can never be too careful. 😳
That area is SUPER sketch, went there at dusk and luckily my instincts were on point that day, I saw a group of people get out of a car with Indiana plates to take pictures with the house (nothing odd there) but I couldn’t help but notice they were staring at my friend and I from the corner of their eyes almost sneakily watching us. I told her we should bounce and as we were getting in the car the older man with them got angry and started yelling at the people with him to hurry up and was pointing at us, everyone started running towards our car and I turned the car on and sped off. Taking random turns really fast down the streets until I was sure no one was following us. I pulled over, checked my gas levels and realized we had enough to get back on the highway.. on to the next location. It wasn’t something that shook me to bad but I’m still convinced we were seconds away from something bad happening.
It was definitely not the safest I've ever been to... lots of abandoned homes
I went there back in January of 2017 and got yelled at by a neighbor who lived on another street because I was trying to photograph the back of the Michael Jackson monument. Shortly after, a guy came up to me asking for 30 cents. Fortunately, nothing bad happened. I walked around the entire neighborhood by myself. Nothing scares me and I think that these people knew that.
Michael often said in interviews that they would be practicing their music and dancing, and behind their house was the school, and kids would be playing baseball and basketball, but the Jackson's couldn't play with the other boys. Their dad made them rehearse, rehearse, rehearse, many hours a day.
Yes, and that's the school
Been there several times it's not a museum there's actually no furniture in the house, only tools to take care of the outside of the property, the museum is in detroit
Hey Jordan I’m from Gary and I have never heard that story about Demon House. You learn something new every day. Glad you made it through Gary safely
Jordan I'm so happy you did this because at the cemetery it's sad to see how it's all COVERED up. The house looks like a HAPPY place to represent his legacy and family.
i don't understand why parents push their dreams onto their kids. just because you didn't become rich and famous, doesn't mean your kids want that. i feel like Selena's dad was the same way. he had a band and failed so he pushed that onto his kids.
Thank you so much for this vlog Jordan 💕Micheal Jackson’s childhood home is one of the places at the top of my must visit list ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Fantastic coverage of MJs childhood home. When there is a lot of severe abuse in a home towards a child, those effects can run deep. I think probably the verbal abuse hurt Michael more than the physical because he struggled his whole life with not being ok with himself. A child's mind can become extremely confused and into adulthood. Imagine also the fame aspect that comes into play. Famous his whole life which of course fame is a different animal, how could he have ever found his true self. His creativity was probably the one thing that saved him and he found comfort in. whether or not he ever did those things to those kids, I honestly think that if he did, that he did not know what he was doing because of the mental confusion. We will truly never know about those allegations. I hope that in someway in the end he was able to come home to himself and love himself.
Mr JACKSON AND BRIAN WILSONS DAD SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN THE SAME JAIL CELL
Hopefully the boys, now men, who experienced lifetime trauma and systematic abuse at his hands can find peace and learn to love themselves as well!
@@victoryak86 if you do your research you'll find out that he's innocent.

This is Great, I’ve Always Been A Huge Michael Jackson Fan! I Love Seeing This, So Awesome!! Thank You Jordan ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
First concert I ever went to was Thriller. Great vlog Jordan! Thanks for the extra info on the demon 😈 house.
When I was a weird kid growing up in the 80’s I was a fan of Michaels when I was in Catholic school, 3rd - 6th grade. I had Michael buttons on my tie. As a teen I fell in love with Metal. Anyway, I think Zak is a charlatan of the paranormal. I think he’s just trying to make a buck off of it. With my small amount of knowledge about the paranormal and doing investigations I know one thing, show it a bit of respect, which Zak doesn’t. He’s trying to mimic the Warrens but at a grander scale. Zak just wants fame and fortune.
My man Jordan this was a great and awesome video, I truly love this channel keep up the great work and keep putting out these terrific videos.
I was born in Gary in 1961 been passed the house hundreds of times. A large monument that was about 5ft tall is missing, you can see the spot where it used to be in the front yard. If you go 2 or 3 blocks in any direction away from there you will be in a dangerous part of Gary where you can find trouble you don't want. I'm 60yrs old there's not a part of Gary that I haven't been in. But if you want to see Michael Jackson's house you have to go through it.
Janet stole the statue!
@@LindaCarol-ig2ri It's ok to get out of your car at the Jackson house you just need to be aware of your surroundings and on the lookout for people who might approach you on foot. There's too much drug activity in the surrounding neighborhood ✌🏻😎🇺🇸🇺🇦

Rip Micheal Jackson to this day I am so sorry for what you been through with your child hood and life it’s self it has damaged you! But music made you happy and brought light to your situation I pray that you are finally at peace! You’ll forever be a legendary! Our king!

MJ was abuse by his father his mom knew that it surprised me that Joe got away with all that his wife must of been scare of her husband. So for a long time it must have been an family secret tell they all got older. But it dont make MJ strange what people got to know is that MJ still had an child mind he never grew up he also trusted the wrong people. When MJ died it like the world stop. But it sad now he gone almost everyone miss him but when he was alive he was talked about real bad. I think MJ felt alone like no one cared he felt humitaed. It sad May he rest in heaven.💝💝💝 abuse is real he not the only one that been abuse and suffer behind it. Sad for any child to go through this. Can happen even in your family abuse is silent some are too scare to report it.

I have lived in Indiana all my life, Gary Indiana is the worse place ever to live. a LOT of crime and violence there, im sure the landscape didnt look like it does now when the Jackson Family lived there. But now its a very Beautiful place. which is hard to find anything beautiful in Gary Indiana. They really made it big!! Michael and the rest of them made Indiana proud as entatainers, R.I H Michael. I know there was a lot of contraversy about his life, but as far as entertainers, they made Indiana very Proud!! Thank you for the music Jackson Family!! ♥
