I saw Jayne Mansfield once when I was a kid, 60 years ago. She stopped (in a limo) for a Tommy's hamburger - famous here in L.A. Her driver ordered the burgers and brought them to the limo. She got out and waved to the crowd (we went wild!) and then motioned she was hungry. She got back in the limo, rolled the window down and waved to the crowd as the limo drove off. I was about 10 years old and completely star struck.

You are so lucky! @EagleRockers I own her hat I had to literally beg the seller to sell me it and I’ve had it since 2018, I offered and got a message back via Mariska hargitay from a Jayne Mansfield account to give her the hat as I had offered but then it disappeared. Now I want a burger!

Thanks for making a wonderful tribute to Jayne Mansfield! She will always be a great example of Americana for us all to enjoy. Your good taste and respect was perfect.
Mae West had a bid “feud” with her stealing away Mickey. She did have some hit movies “The Girl Can’t Help It” with Tom Ewell. Englebert Humperdinck ended up buying her pink mansion and kept it unchanged for decades. The pool and deck area were world famous. The pictures are on the web. Jordan, your kind love of people will take you far. 🥰

Great tribute to Jayne. In an interview which I believe was from the program 'This is Your Life' Jayne was asked what was her favorite role? Without hesitation she said 'Mother'. Intelligent and beautiful but tragically died far too young. Thanks Jordan - I always love to see where the road takes you next. 😊😍❤️☀️🦩

Such a sad end to a fascinating life! But Jayne Mansfield got to live out her dreams and how many people get to do that? Whish I'd had a chance to see her pink palace. Thanks for another excellent vlog, Jordan!!!

  • @moniquedeitz4356

Thank you, Jordan. Such a sad ending...and to die at 34 after stating that she probably would do so...eerie! I'm so glad you corrected the story about the decapitation. Appears that the falsehood gained such traction because certain print newswriters were obsessed with gruesomeness. It's also heartening to know that Mickey Hargitay carried out her wishes about her burial place and that he reared their children. He seemed like a very good man. R.I.P. to them both.
P.S. Jordan, after seeing this episode, I clicked on and viewed "Jane Mansfield's Fatal Crash Truth" by the Dearly Departed host. Thanks for the suggestion.

Great narration and solid facts Jordan, especially that Jayne was not decapitated. Her wig and her scalp were both removed by the frontal impact. Her scalp was severely pulled away and tangled into the other crash debris. She was sitting in middle of the front bench seat, the worse place to be. Her kids were asleep behind her, laying down flat on the back seat. They were injured and had some broken bones, cuts, scrapes etc. They were hospitalized, but did recover. Mickey came for them right away, and then took them back home to heal. Still sad.

Gorgeous, curvaceous, brilliant and dazzling Jayne Mansfield became and survived as a road company Marilyn Monroe.
In 66/67 she was as a mother of five, the breathing living doll: the only Barbie doll lookalike at that time. Miniskirts, wigs and all the rest.
    What an accomplishment.

Thank you for telling Jane's story. I didn't know her very well. I'm happy she has a nice resting place away from Hollywood. Stay safe and take care.

Glad you did this vlog on Jayne Mansfield. Such a tragic ending. I have never said anything positive on Sam Brody and Matt Cimber. I often wondered how her life would have been if she had stayed with Mickey Hargitay. I could tell from video interviews that I have watched on UA-cam that he truly loved her. in one I watched he broke down crying several times. if I had to pick a favorite movie of hers I would have to go with The Sheriff of Fractured Jaw. I thought that she was great in that movie. Have a great day Jordan and Safe travels buddy.

Thanks Jordan, I played Gus Stevens in the biographical film about Jayne Mansfield. I hope you have seen it and the Loni Anderson movie. It was fun and eerie making the Jayne Mansfield movie. I have been to her centograph at The Hollywood Forever Cemetery and her actual grave in Penn Argyll. We filmed in the actual funeral home of Jayne Mansfield. You should contact Frank Ferrucio. He is on Facebook. He produced Diamonds to Dust. He owns many of her clothes. I have her famous pink dress she wore alot in 1966. You do a great job with your video biographies. Thank you.

My father, a California state senator at the time, escorted Jayne Mansfield in the Huntington Park Christmas Lane Parade in the 60s. I don't remember exactly which year. I was young at the time. But my mother told me many years later that she almost divorced my father over that experience.

interesting to know moved to Texas and living in Austin ( that's my hometown ). I was like 10 years old not knowing much about her, but later on heard about the accident then finding out things now that I'm older. what a gorgous woman. Mariska's dad what a hunk. glad he did what he did for Jayne to get the marriage annuled to take care of her body to be buried where she once told him. RIP Jayne.

Great video! So informative and cool to see. I'm thinking of this movie she and Mickey made. Hercules in love I think it was called. Saw it on MST3K. She looked so beautiful, and Mickey was so in love with her. Nice memory. Thanks to you and Jah.
