Isn't the "short forms" of verbs u have there just the active participles in Arabic? I do also notice that its rarely used anymore and for my own purposes I've formed my own hypothetical active participles for fun in translating a literal as possible Quran bil-Malti 😂

Edit: Just realised this is from an older version I made, the ending vowel in Maltese shouldn't be -i- (mCaCCiC), rather should be -e- (mCaCCeC) as evidenced in mgħallem, although the passive participle for most words are also formed like this, this is one of those rare particles that retains the Arabic mCaCCiC active participle form
Tiela' in its Arabic should be طَالِع and nieżel is نَارِل
