The New Covenant is a higher standard than the Old Covenant, not for our salvation, but for our conduct. Christ contrasts the two covenants below with the words "But I say...". He is the "seed" of the woman from Genesis 3:15. He is the "seed" of Abraham, through which all the families of the earth would be blessed in Genesis 12:3. Does God have a "Son" in Psalm 2? Psa 2:6 Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. Psa 2:7 I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee. Psa 2:8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. Psa 2:9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel. .
Kudos to Carrie. She wasn't arrogant or angry but sounded like a woman in search of truth and holiness. And Dr. Brown, thanks for being gentle and not too pushy or using your intellect to slam her. Please Carrie listen to Dr. Brown and get on your knees pray to God ask Him to reveal His truth to you. Read Isaiah like he said and ask for discernment. She sounds like a very young, sweet and kind girl. I would die to see a righteous woman like her come back to Jesus, especially with the knowledge she has. Why she left Jesus I won't know, but she should stay in touch more with people like Dr. Brown, who can bring this woman back to Jesus.

What an awesome conversation I feel for sister Carrie she obviously never knew the Lord (Christ Jesus) though she knew of him just not walked in His love nor power! I certainly hope she turns her heart to the great Redeemer and Saviour of our souls!!
Daniel 9 converted me on the spot. It literally says sin will be expiated in 32AD by an anointed one who will be killed for OUR atonement. And following this the temple will be destroyed. This absolutely blew my mind when I first found it. Most prophecies are so vague. This one actually has an exact timeline to Jesus. Still mind blowing.
This conversation reminds me of one I have had with a former Baptist converted to Judaism. He brings up the same topics as she does -- and he is a Tovia Singer follower.

My heart goes all out for this young lady as she is so lost in life that she truly needs the mercy of God. First of all I thank Dr Michael Brown for his love for God that he shows God’s image in his answering to this lost soul. A true disciple of Jesus. Loving, kind, patient, gracious, and wise to prove and GUARD God’s Truth. I can see how satan works through and in Christianity and Judaism keeping people away from God. Satan is so slimming that if we are not careful we can fall into both religions and have no relationship with God. If we want to search for God, search the Scripture with a humble and repenting heart. ASK ( ask, seek and knock), He will show Himself unto you! Religion doesn’t lead anyone to God but destruction! @Venezia In Matthew 19:17 a man came to Jesus and called Him "Good Master" and asked what he needed to do to obtain eternal life. Jesus asked why he called Him good, "...there is none good but one, that is God..." If Jesus is good which the word of God states, then Jesus is God

I think she meant this verse for the last days: Zachariah 8:23 "This is what the LORD Almighty says: "In those days ten people from all languages and nations will take firm hold of one Jew by the hem of his robe and say, 'Let us go with you, because we have heard that God is with you.'"
Dear Dr. Brown, I think the verse she needed to hear is Micah 5:2. The original says His days are from eternity. This is showing that the Messiah is indeed GOD 💗

That belongs right in Pilgrim's Progress when in the house of the interpreter the woman tries to sweep and just kicks up dust (before water is added.) Brother, I listen regularly to James White (I'm a reformed baptist) and have been so blessed by your friendship with each other. It may have been the will of God that she was so inadequately informed about what christianity teaches but this does not absolve the responsibility of us who proclaim Yeshua(Jesus) as Lord in the world today, Lord thank you for your mercy help us do better. Amen

@Gee Jesus does not lead us to Torah, Torah leads us to Jesus. He is the Word of God, the Giver of the Law, and the Judge. He alone has kept the righteous Commandments of the Law, perfectly and without sin, and He alone is able to save us from the curse that Law brings upon those who transgress. He is the fulfilment, the final and perfect Sacrifice, our Redeemer and our LORD. Israel rejected God as their King and chose for themselves a man, but those earthly kings failed and more often than not led Israel astray. So, God, Himself came down to earth, and was born of the virgin Mary, of the line of David, and took back the Kingship for Himself, in order to bring back His people from their captivity, through faith in Him, and the work that He accomplished upon the Cross. There is no other name by which men can be saved, He is the way, the truth and life, and no one can come to the Father except by Him. This is Eternal Life, to know the One True God, and Jesus Christ whom He has sent. Son of God, and Son of Man, the Word become flesh, in whom all the fulness of the Godhead dwells in bodily form, that God Himself might purchase for Himself His own people, with His own blood. For without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sin.

No Jew depends on their own righteousness. We depend on Ha Shem’s mercy. He created us human and does not require perfection as is being claimed by the Christian. Ha Shem also does not require sacrifice, he can forgive any person who comes to him with sincerity. Don’t be fooled to think you need Jesus, you can go directly to G-d like Abraham, Issac and Jacob.

He is explaining why sacrifice is needed for atonement. It seems to me that you don’t understand your own God. ¿Why if the only thing needed for atonement is mercy all throughout the Old Testament is spoken of lamb sacrifices and Gods wrath erasing entire generations because of their sins. You created the Talmud to distort the meaning of the Tanakh. The fulfillment of the Tanakh IS the Brit Hachadasha. Read the Tanakh by yourself and without the interpretation of the rabbis and you will realize that 1. God is complex in His unity. 2. God appears as human form. 3. The Messiah is Yehoshua Ben Yosif
So I'm curious Dr. Brown, and any one on here willing to comment on my question.. do you believe Yeshua did away with the Torah? I agree that our salvation is only found in Yeshua our Messiah. But should believers in Yeshua still strive to keep His Torah?
He said he came to fulfill the law and prophets, not abolish them. But the OT also says there will be a new covenant. So moral law like the ten commandments anyone should strive to keep. You don't live in sin, but nobody is perfect. The things like not cutting your beard were for cultural separation from pagans at the time.

So many sheep are going astray due to the predicament of the 'Church' in these last of the last days. The world and mostly those calling themselves Jews are being primed up to recieved the one who comes in his own name. I pray for Israel that the scales fall off. Lord open their hearts and minds. I pray the Holy Spirit is poured out upon them to convict them in their error. Jesus humble them and soften their hearts. I love them because He loves them!
The Apostle Paul wrote something very important: Philippians 3:9 KJV - And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: Here's another portion of scripture where Israel is warned not to think it's because of their righteousness that they'll enter into the promised land; in truth they fell short. Deuteronomy 9:4-8 KJV - Speak not thou in thine heart, after that the LORD thy God hath cast them out from before thee, saying, For my righteousness the LORD hath brought me in to possess this land: but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD doth drive them out from before thee. Not for thy righteousness, or for the uprightness of thine heart, dost thou go to possess their land: but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee, and that he may perform the word which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Understand therefore, that the LORD thy God giveth thee not this good land to possess it for thy righteousness; for thou art a stiffnecked people. Simple answer (to a simple mind who asks or contends with you) to this girl was/is: _"We are all infected and impure with sin. When we display our righteous deeds, they are nothing but filthy rags. Like autumn leaves, we wither and fall, and our sins sweep us away like the wind."_ Isa 64:6 [NLT] Word of God speak......
“I’d say you grew up in a church without ever knowing Jesus” I would agree and now she relies solely on her own good works for her Salvation. You can hear her Pride in some of her responses her saying “I don’t need a saviour, I can get there on my own” “My prayers are enough, my charity is enough, to receive forgiveness” Nothing we do as people can please God which is why we need Jesus to fill the gap to reconnect us with our Father in Heaven. Jesus came and completed the Jewish scriptures, not replace them because Judaism and Christianity complete each other not compete with each other.
Sending much "Love (in Yeshua) to all my "brethren" scattered in the nations, and to our "enemies" also. I pray for "courage, strength, and the "covering" of Yahweh Elohim our "safe refuge" for the "brethren" in these "troubled times" we are experiencing, that Yahweh's Shekinak" (Glory/light) will shine from "within us out" to those " living in darkness". I pray Yahweh will "quicken" their "SOULS", and their "spiritual eyes" ears, and "heart" will be opened to come into the "light", and receive the "priceless gift of Salvation" brought to us by and through Yeshua our Messiah.
As a Christian the fact he's telling her that "Are you perfect because you confess on Yom Kippur." that sounds sort of ignorant on his part, every Christian faith has a form of confession.
It's the opposite of ignorance. Dr. Brown is asking if you feel perfect after Yom Kippur without temple sacrifice. As perfect as Adam & Eve before the fall. Don't get me wrong. Repentance and living by the Law is the way to continue to love God. But the sacrifice is necessary because of our sinful nature. This is why Messiah came (Well, one of the reasons). To be the new sacrifical system for our Atonement. Without that, it doesn't matter if you are the nicest, most charitable person on earth. It won't gain you paradise. That is the difference between Rabbinical repentance and Messianic repentance.
Amos 8: 11-12 11 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord: 12 And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the Lord, and shall not find it.

Galatians 2:19-21 NASB For through the Law I died to the Law, so that I might live to God. [20] I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me. [21] *I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness comes through the Law, then Christ died needlessly."*
Brown contradicted himself first she brought up Deuteronomy where it says that the Commandments are easy to do and dr. Brown is giving his logic against God's words then later dr. Brown says let's take the words as it is. Without our own interpretation.

Dr. Brown makes perfect sense in that the prophesized Messiah fulfills two parts: Part 1 & then Part 2. Yeshua HaMessiah fulfilled the first four feasts in the spring (Passover, Unleavened Bread, First Fruits & Shavuot) in Part 1 and He will fulfill the remaining three feasts in the fall (Trumpets, Atonement & Tabernacles) in Part 2. Keep up the good work!

Isaiah talks about Yeshua a TON, even specifically talks about the virgin birth and Him being called Immanuel. And how the seed of jesse would be the Messiah. Yeshua is all over the old Testament
It seems in recent years that the teaching (Sunday school) in Christian church has diminished such that young people can't coherently describe their faith. I'm not surprised by this woman's convertion.

Saddened that all these Jews speak of ways to live your life. Orthodox Christianity, the Branch that keeps getting persecuted, has all these rules, want a way to eat it’s there, want to atone it’s there, want to worship as a priest leads us, it’s there.
he doesnt have to be merciful. after all are we? BUT thank god for the love and the mercy he gives in abundance everyday ,even in the darkest of days to all that believe in him his love and mercy is given everyday . so pray and be thankful and repent . amen just dont do it again.

Daniel 9 converted me on the spot. It literally says sin will be expiated in 32AD by an anointed one who will be killed for OUR atonement. And following this the temple will be destroyed. This absolutely blew my mind when I first found it. Most prophecies are so vague. This one actually has an exact timeline to Jesus. Still mind blowing.

@Gee Jesus does not lead us to Torah, Torah leads us to Jesus. He is the Word of God, the Giver of the Law, and the Judge.
He alone has kept the righteous Commandments of the Law, perfectly and without sin, and He alone is able to save us from the curse that Law brings upon those who transgress. He is the fulfilment, the final and perfect Sacrifice, our Redeemer and our LORD.
Israel rejected God as their King and chose for themselves a man, but those earthly kings failed and more often than not led Israel astray. So, God, Himself came down to earth, and was born of the virgin Mary, of the line of David, and took back the Kingship for Himself, in order to bring back His people from their captivity, through faith in Him, and the work that He accomplished upon the Cross.

I agree that our salvation is only found in Yeshua our Messiah. But should believers in Yeshua still strive to keep His Torah?
He said he came to fulfill the law and prophets, not abolish them. But the OT also says there will be a new covenant. So moral law like the ten commandments anyone should strive to keep. You don't live in sin, but nobody is perfect. The things like not cutting your beard were for cultural separation from pagans at the time.

So many sheep are going astray due to the predicament of the 'Church' in these last of the last days. The world and mostly those calling themselves Jews are being primed up to recieved the one who comes in his own name. I pray for Israel that the scales fall off. Lord open their hearts and minds. I pray the Holy Spirit is poured out upon them to convict them in their error. Jesus humble them and soften their hearts. I love them because He loves them!

Here's another portion of scripture where Israel is warned not to think it's because of their righteousness that they'll enter into the promised land; in truth they fell short.
Deuteronomy 9:4-8 KJV - Speak not thou in thine heart, after that the LORD thy God hath cast them out from before thee, saying, For my righteousness the LORD hath brought me in to possess this land: but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD doth drive them out from before thee. You can hear her Pride in some of her responses her saying “I don’t need a saviour, I can get there on my own” “My prayers are enough, my charity is enough, to receive forgiveness” Nothing we do as people can please God which is why we need Jesus to fill the gap to reconnect us with our Father in Heaven. As a Christian the fact he's telling her that "Are you perfect because you confess on Yom Kippur." that sounds sort of ignorant on his part, every Christian faith has a form of confession.
It's the opposite of ignorance. Dr. Brown is asking if you feel perfect after Yom Kippur without temple sacrifice. As perfect as Adam & Eve before the fall.
Don't get me wrong. Repentance and living by the Law is the way to continue to love God. But the sacrifice is necessary because of our sinful nature.
This is why Messiah came (Well, one of the reasons). To be the new sacrifical system for our Atonement. Without that, it doesn't matter if you are the nicest, most charitable person on earth. It won't gain you paradise. That is the difference between Rabbinical repentance and Messianic repentance.

Brown contradicted himself first she brought up Deuteronomy where it says that the Commandments are easy to do and dr. Brown is giving his logic against God's words then later dr. Brown says let's take the words as it is. Without our own interpretation.

Dr. Brown makes perfect sense in that the prophesized Messiah fulfills two parts: Part 1 & then Part 2. Yeshua HaMessiah fulfilled the first four feasts in the spring (Passover, Unleavened Bread, First Fruits & Shavuot) in Part 1 and He will fulfill the remaining three feasts in the fall (Trumpets, Atonement & Tabernacles) in Part 2. Saddened that all these Jews speak of ways to live your life. Orthodox Christianity, the Branch that keeps getting persecuted, has all these rules, want a way to eat it’s there, want to atone it’s there, want to worship as a priest leads us, it’s there.
