I've been there; I had a car I bought wheel covers for... no shame in wanting your car to look a bit nicer. to be honest, I think my covers actually took a third of a second off my 1/4 mile. (which is crazy, as they add weight to the car!! go figure.)
I actually like steel wheels, just paint them black and they usually go well.
However a Subaru is a nicer car, I guess that justifies it.

MCM delivers always at the right time!
I always put a jubilee clip (dunno if they're called something different in Oz?) on a rubber hose, tighten it slightly and use that as a guide when cutting hoses, gives you a nice clean straight edge.
Also, I have a man crush on TY, proper chilled out bloke.
A very nice gesture buying the wheel trims for that chap. Having watched MCM for a number of years, they both come across as genuine enthusiasts. There will be a warm welcome for you both in the UK, if you ever decide to visit!!

As this build goes on we tend to forget that Hector is going to be running 3 Honda Civics with spoon engines. And on top of that, he just went into Harry's, and he ordered 3 T66 turbos, with NOS. And a Motec exhaust

It's very telling, when you see Moog interact with fans. You immediatly get the fact, that these guys truly care for the fans, and know that fans have brought them far. I hope MCM just keeps growing bigger and better over the years. :)

Marty and Moog, the music often draws me to MCM because it’s just so peaceful and inspirational, but you guys have stepped it way up throughout this build. Seriously well done. I didn’t know if you would ever surpass the overall score that came from Kei to the City, but you have. You got better, way better, and you were already at the top.
Please keep it up. Your music plays in the background while I work on my own cars, just without the cool montages and Turbo Yota floating in and out of frame.

I don’t think they’ed be able to fit a vessel to catch it under the tank with the car on the ground. They’ed need what would essentially be a sump and a pump to actually be able to gather it.
I guess they could drain it out of spite or whatever though.
Old Hondas have a drain plug too not sure how many other cars have it

Hey mates, I had that car. Regarding the courtesy flap on the filler neck to the gas tank, it's not to prevent gas spills. It's to prevent scratching the paint when you insert the nozzle. You guys do real good work.!

Love you guys! I miss my 240 Z, It had a transplanted engine and transmission from a 280 Z. The best thing was triple Webers on the intake side, so lovely and mechanical. Driving a Corvette these days, a direct injected LT-1 engine and a seven speed manual have their charms. Keep up the great work!

It's delayed, but doesn't get stuck, if you refresh, it's still supposed to increase, but slowly.
On this video, I was shocked because it had 25 views, so I thought the same thing as you, I literally refreshed the video every 5 minutes, and it didn't increase at all, it was totally stuck there.
I love every one of these 240Z videos but I am wanting so bad to see this legend of a car up and running with the new power plant.
This is the best car channel on UA-cam and considering how many good car channels there are you boys are the world champs! :)

My 911 has a courtesy dribble protector.
t_s thought it was to stop the fuel handle scratching the paint, an old mates defender had quite a few marks around the filler cap from where it had impacted the bodywork
Same thing in my ex 1989 930 (turbo) to prevent scratching. It also had a whole to let excess petrol back to the tank. You really needed that feature with its terrible mileage ;) No such thing in a 997. I miss it
Yes and no, old 911s don't have the fuel cap attached to the car, so the chances of it scratching the panel around the filler are limited. Most people end up putting it on the petrol pump itself (and quite a few then drive off without it, not noticing because old 911s tend to stink of petrol anyway).
My girlfriend has two courtesy flaps. She rolls them out and welcomes one and all...!

I've been reading (slowly!) through an old book by Corky Bell called "Maximum Boost" that is something like an older college class in turbo's... one of the interesting turbo versions I saw in it so far is a kind with two (!) exhaust intake ports that go to the back and front of the turbo power turbine disk - to deal with turbo lag I think.
Reason I brought that up was I wondered how it compared to two smaller but separate turbos, What is the "YODA LOW-DOWN" on that bit?
I agree a hundred percent about excessive plumbing! In theory you could have one turbo for each cylinder, but your engine bay would look like a giant bowl of "Ramen Of Outrageous Size"
(R.O.O.S. as opposed to R.O.U.S. for all of you Fallout New Vegas fans...)

The scroll shape of the Turbo housing is called a "VOLUTE", and has its roots in ancient architecture - Roman and Greek in particular. They styled the bases and tops of certain columns in buildings after sea shells, and this became the "Volute" shape somehow...
